I was very nervous when my insurance company assigned me a DR. I am new to Dallas so do not have a network to check Drs. out. I did look on my Nextdoor app and saw good reviews for Dr. Grand. Just to be clear, I have NEVER seen Dr. Grand. However i do see Lindsey, his PA. I like her so much. i feel comfortable with her, she explains everything and she has no trouble referring me to specialists when needed. I have actually never met or seen Dr Grand.I have always seen his PA and her nurse which has been a good experience. The front office is why I'll never return to this doctor.They don't know how to respect patients and they talk to you like your bottom drawer. I was out of medication and needed refills and they wouldn't see me. It was over an insurance discrepancy.I've been a loyal patient for years but it didn't matter. I have been Dr. Grand's patient for 39 years. He is the most thorough internist (or doctor of any specialty) I have ever seen. He keeps up with the medical research and literature to the day. My friends who see Dr. Grand all say the same thing. Some have been with him as long as I have. If I could give more stars than five I would. And I love his staff. Outstanding Internist - extremely thorough...however the absolute WORST, most UNPROFESSIONAL medical staff I have ever been to EVER! If I could rate this office at negative 10, I would. The staff is so incredibly RUDE & all uneducated. Where does he find these people?? My husband (a long-time patient) had an appointment on a Wednesday. He needed refills sent to our mail in pharmacy. It took me three days of calling & finally I got into a screaming match with his Medical Assistant. SERIOUSLY a screaming match. We will never step foot into that office again. Dr. Grand is a good knowledgable doctor and has managed my father's chronic care for years however his staff and nurses are probably some of the worst that I've come across in healthcare. As a healthcare provider myself, this speaks volumes. The staff there is very unprofessional, unorganized, and overall lack medical knowledge. His staff engaged in a full on argument turned screaming match with my mother over a simple pharmacy change request. His staff also did this to my father in person when he went to inquire about a cancelled visit that he was charged for. Any staff member who does that definitely should not be working in healthcare nor handling patients. Unfortunately, Dr. Grand has lost a long-time patient due to this but in that same breath, it is the doctor's job as well as the practice manager's job to ensure they have a team that can treat patients with respect, care, and dignity. read more

The absolute WORST, most UNPROFESSIONAL medical office I have ever been to EVER! The staff is so incredibly RUDE to say the least. All uneducated and have no business working in a medical facility. It is impossible to get a retuned call much less a prescription refill. I should've written a review for them a long time ago but enough is enough. I was 10 minutes late to my appointment and they didn't see me, they couldn't accommodate me- even after many times of me being on time and not being called back until 20-30 minutes after my appointment time. One time- I went in for a covid and strep test and didnt get a call back with my results until 2 WEEKS later!!! NEVER going back to this place! I do NOT recommend. read more

Never have I ever been treated like this by a medical professional. Don't use Dr. Grand or his practice! He's unethical and unprofessional! Dr. Grand only cares about your money and how much of it you're giving to him. -He refused to refill my prescriptions because I had a balance due. A balance I gladly would have paid had he returned a single one of my 3 requests to speak to him on the phone.* *I was later told he doesn't speak to patients on the phone. Which to me is the most absurd thing I've ever heard from a family physician. It's called follow-up, it's called customer service, it's called CARING ENOUGH TO PICK UP THE PHONE when one of your patients need you or have a question. -I was told I would need to come in to the office for an appointment if I wanted my refills. Refills on medications I've been taking for years. (Read: I want to pad my pocket by making people come in for unnecessary office visits). -So I make the "mandatory" appointment only to be called later in the day and told my appointment is being cancelled because I have a balance due. To which I responded "yes, I know... I'll be paying it in full tomorrow when I come in." To which is was told "No, we are going to cancel your appointment and you can reschedule after you deal with the collection agency." -So now they've sent me to a collection agency over a bill I would have happily paid if the good doctor would have had the decency to pick up the phone and return just one of the several requests I submitted to his staff to have him call me. So... he won't talk to me, he won't see me and he won't take the money i owe if I come into the office. Am I the only one this doesn't make sense to? I think the moral here is that this place is a joke and I personally don't find people's health and wellbeing to be a joking matter. The concepts of customer service, client care and just how to treat people in general are all completely lost on these people. I strongly recommend you look elsewhere when seeking a medical professional. Especially, if you like being treated with dignity and respect. read more

I don't normally leave reviews, but I'm leaving this review in defense of Dr. Grand's office. I happen to be the patient after Nora P. today. It's not fair to bash an office because you were over 17 minutes late to your appointment. Had they still seen you today, my appointment would have started late causing me to be late for my grandkids. You were completely out of line while screaming the way you were and probably didn't notice the patient that left the office, scared due to your behavior. The staff never raised their voice while showing you the late appointment policy that we all sign when becoming patients. We have to take responsibility for our own actions at some point. When the provider's office asks us to show up 10 minutes early to update information and we show up more than 17 minutes late to the actual appointment, who's at fault?? Unfortunately, we live in a world where its easy to go leave a bad review when we don't get our way and are upset. This office has been nothing but great to my wife and I since day one. I have referred several friends and family members to this practice that are just as happy as we are to be patients. Dr. Grand is an outstanding doctor and the new Nurse Practitioner, Heidi, is amazing. The staff does a great job at accomadating everyone's needs as best as they can, but in order to do that, we as patient's also have to do our part. read more

I signed up for Yelp just to post this review. I have seen Dr. Grand on several occasions and have been pleased with him. This one star is for Dr Grand's assistant Lindsey Nichols. She is not a pleasant person, do anything you can to see Dr. Grand instead if you can. If you just want drugs then yes so see her, but if you want a diagnosis you are out of luck with her. I am disappointed Dr Grand keeps somebody like her in his office. I will be looking for a new PCP ASAP. read more
