First off, I really liked the set up of this bar! I thought the dim lighting set a nice mood and they had a decent amount of seating. However, this bar gets reallyyyy crowded. The first time I visited I remember it being calmer but it seems to be the new spot these days. I tend to like bars where I can chill with friends and catch up but this was definitely in-between a bar and club vibe. This may be because I visited on a Friday. Drinks-wise, I only tried one cocktail, Levi's in Paradise, and it was very very good. I am a big fan of passionfruit so when I saw they had a drink with passionfruit, I just HAD to try it. I've hit up Harper & Rye a few times. It's not really a bar to dance in, although it does get more lit later into the night on the weekends. I'd say it's more of a fun bar to chill with friends, people watch, and maybe shoot your shot. My friends and I recently came here, and I got the Levi's in Paradise cocktail. It was nice to sip on, although not very strong, so I needed another round. Right as I was about to order, someone else gave me an "extra" aperol spritz they ordered. Overall I like this place and we always come but there is bartender guy who is wearing cowboy hat and sunglasses all the time and he keeps overcharging us every time we order something. We ordered same thing from another bartender and he charged us 9$ for whiskey shot but other one charged us 15$. It also happened to my friend. I am hoping management can fix this issue. read more

Went in on a Friday night at around 8:15 pm and it was pretty packed but we were able to find seating for the two of us at the area near the pool tables. The interior is so pretty with the half circle bar and the dark wooden fixtures. Spee & Beast - Whiskey paired with sour fruits always reminds me of a whiskey sour which is one of my favorites so I tried this cocktail that had Japanese whiskey, lemon, lemongrass and blood orange. The whiskey came through pretty strong but the blood orange and lemon helped balance it out with the sourness. My friend and I enjoyed the vibes of the bar, especially being able to sit and talk while sipping our drinks. read more

My favorite bar on Polk St hands down! Coming in any day throughout the week is great here! Even on a random Monday or Tuesday. I love how cozy it is in there and how simple yet nice the bar is. Be careful on the weekends! It can get extremely packed. Sometimes I have to squish my way through people because of how packed it is.
