I ordered delivery today! Good as always is delicious. I ordered their tacos and they were so flavorful and tasty. I also ordered their BBQ Mac and Cheese, and their corned beef and cabbage dinner. The tacos were my highlight of the day.

Thanks for the mashed potatoes and gravy! Oh wait, those are fries and a cold burger.

Fix the menu on Door Dash to align with the restaurant's and have the cooks read what is ordered. Food arrived cold and not what was ordered.

Made reservations for a party of 9, requested the rooftop. The service was top notch, we had our own waiter and bartender. He was very knowledgeable of the menu, and when asked, he gave great recommendations. The food, was also very good. It came out quick, and together with nothing being cold. If you have a larger party, I highly recommend this establishment. It's a hidden gem!

    Street view. On street parking.

We had originally planned to dine at a different Irish pub but even after verifying they were open through the website, when we arrived, it was closed. OK, taking a look on Yelp, this spot is nearby and open so off we go. We definitely have a knack for arriing at restaurants at 'off' meal times. Which we actually love. When we arrived there were maybe 5 parties total in the restaurant and most were at the bar. We also seated ourselves at the bar, ordered a Guinness and looked over the menu. The bartender was the only person working on this floor. The second floor looks to be a private function room and the roof has a huge full bar, also staffed by one bartender and lots of tables, chairs and umbrellas on two levels of deck. There are also restrooms up there. We started with the Blarney Stones app. This is a lot of food and very tasty. If you like steak and cheese, this could be a good app for you and would feed at least 4, or cut them in half for more. My cesear salad was not quite as fresh as it could be, but still very edible and the dressing was good. This is a very large salad and a good size for the price. The reuben sandwich is exactly what you would expect, tasty and comes with a side of good fries. I can see this place must be hopping after work or on the weekends. Especially on a balmy summy evening, that rooftop bar would be a wonderful place to sit and enjoy the evening if you live nearby. There are some big trees out there lending a cool shade and as it is so high, you catch the breeze. Parking is on-street or in a local garage. There are restroom on the lower level, up a few steps from the dining area. Definitely not handicapped accessible and no baby changing station. There is a pool table to the left of the ground floor bar, which by the way wraps around a couple of corners, so there's a good amount of bar seating available.

We were looking for a place to grab dinner in Norwich, and went with Harp and Dragon. There were mixed reviews I had read, but we had nothing but a positive experience from beginning to end. To start, the service was pretty good for us, but also seemed a bit unorganized. We saw the staff using walkie-talkies to communicate, which I had never seen in a restaurant before. Drinks were good and not overpriced. Good selection of beer, as well as specialty drinks. For food, we ordered buffalo wings, the mac & cheese, and a side of fries. I was very impressed with the wings. Usually when I order buffalo wings, they don't have much spice, but these were a perfect amount of spice, and also had a good crunch to them. The bleu cheese they were served with was phenomenal, it tasted maybe house made? My friend was very pleased with her mac & cheese. She said it was very flavorful and creamy. We shared a basket of fries which were delicious. You could tell they were hand cut fries, doesn't seem like they cut corners here. All in all a great experience and a cool bar environment, I wish it was a bit closer to me and I'd be here all the time!!

Cute atmosphere! Great service, yummy food. We split a handful of appetizers. We both had a drink and enjoyed the Irish ambiance. I was looking to make a reservation and the owner personally emailed me back and said we were all set. Came for the extensive menu, stayed for the vibes.

I have been here three times and had this dragon bowl twice. One of the best meals I've ever had. Crispy honey garlic chicken with creamed corn, cheddar cheese and mashed potatoes. SO GOOD. It's a similar mix to the KFC famous bowl but this is so so much better.

    H&D Reuben - decent

When in town, as in Norwich, stop by Harp & Dragon for some quick eats. Took a short family trip to Ledyard CT near by and the Main Street area definitely took an impact from COVID, some shops have shuttered. Harp & Dragon Pub is open, has outdoor seating up on their roof deck. It was too hot on the day of our visit so we ordered to go. Apparently - this part of town is "mask" optional so use your own judgment. Patrons & staff were not covered; they do provide hand sanitizer. We got a few pub staples such as Buffalo Wings (can't go wrong!), Burgers (decent), Reuben (a little tough but decent), and Chicken fingers (over fried). Recommend sticking with regular bar food and you'll be fine. Service was friendly and we gave a tip (16%) for take out. It's the new normal my friends.

The hubby read some of the other Yelper's comments and knew to go upstairs, really glad others mentioned that! The space is just big enough that you don't feel like it's tiny but just small enough to feel like you're right in the action. The bar tenders were friendly, they had lots of beer selections (not all on tap, many canned options) and the band turned out to be absolutely fabulous! Following Strange Brew on Facebook is a great way to find out about all their different shows (bands, trivia, comedy, etc) and I don't know why we waited so long to get there! We'll definitely be back.

A great thing is their response to Facebook requests for information. But, It was cold outside and when we came in, upstairs, it was cold inside too. So we decided to leave and find a place that was a bit warmer. Nite that there was plenty of seating and it looked like a nice venue. ***** Facebook response for parking. Thank you for your inquiry. There are a few options for parking including on street parking on both sides of the road. Our building is located on the right side of the road (Water Street is a one way road). There are also three parking garages across the street. Each are available for parking, two of them have signage that says otherwise but it does not apply to our business hours, 6pm till closed. There are a few other parking garages located in downtown within walking distance including Main Street parking garage. There is also parking available in the lot at the marina, about a two minute walk from us on the road running parallel with our road. Please feel free to ask any questions you have regarding the venue &/or event(s). Thanks! For the entryway their response: Sorry for delay, On the right side of the building their is a staircase. Although we own the entire building, we are located on the second floor.

I'm back! I love this place! It's quiet here ) it's only a Tuesday) but we're late (arrived at 9:15…read morePM). There is no shortage of decor here! I like the huge carafe of ice water and the spicy potato chips! For my first drink, I'm having a Negroni. A negroni is an Italian cocktail, made of equal parts gin, vermouth rosso (red, semi-sweet), and Campari, generally served with ice, and commonly garnished with an orange slice or orange peel. It is considered an apéritif. They also have an Obi Wan Negroni made with Cold Brew Infused Campari instead. For my first food item, I'm having the Cream of Mushroom soup with chicken. Cream of mushroom soup is a simple type of soup where a basic roux is thinned with creamor milk and then mushrooms or mushroom brothare added. This is delicious! It's nice and hot with a lot of shredded chicken. For my entree, I'm having the Brussels Sprout Salad made with shaved Brussels sprouts, spring mix, bacon, pomegranate drizzle, silvered almonds, shaved Parmesan and lemon vinaigrette dressing. Look at the height of this! This tastes great! I am also having a side of mushy peas. Mushy peas are a traditional British side dish of marrowfat peas that are cooked until soft and mashed into a mush. The dish is especially popular in Northern England and the Midlands, and often eaten with fish and chips or served as part of "pie and peas". Here's a quick overview of mushy peas: Ingredients** Traditionally made with dried marrowfat peas, but can be substituted with frozen peas or green split peas. I love this! It's nice and hot.,What a rare treat! This is hard to find anywhere! I'm also having a side of cold slaw. Coleslaw, or "slaw" in North America, is a side dish of shredded cabbage with a vinaigrette or mayo-based dressing. The word "coleslaw" comes from the Dutch term koolsla, meaning "cabbage salad". Recipes vary by region and can include additional ingredients like carrots, apples, raisins, or celery. Coleslaw originated in the Netherlands in the 18th century, but references to similar cabbage salads appear in ancient Greek and Roman medical texts. This is the best! Nice, thick dressing! For my last drink, I'm having a Godfather. The Godfather is a sweet and strong cocktail that blends Scotch whisky and amaretto liqueur. It's typically served in an old-fashioned glass over ice and can be garnished with an orange twist. The drink became popular in the 1970s disco scene and is named after the 1972 film starring Marlon Brando and Al Pacino. Some say bartender Joe Scialom created the Godfather to capture the movie's spirit. This is done just right! Good job! What a great meal here!

Atmosphere/Appearance: Set right downtown Manchester on Main Street is this gem where Lucky Taco once stood. It echoes the standard British pubs and taverns from across the pond with deep yellow lighting, woods, exposed brick walls and open floorplan kind of vibe. It was lively, energetic and welcoming! Service: Lara took excellent care of us and she was very helpful! I had no issues at all. Food/Drinks: On the table when we arrived was an Irn Bru which is a SUPER popular drink sold in Scotland, often beating Coca-Cola in sales. It tasted like orange licorice, but it was actually pretty decent. Our first appetizer was an order of Crisps which were like thick cut potato chips with some garlic parmesan seasonings which I actually enjoyed! There was plenty of flavor from each component involved. Next up was the 007 which was their spin on the martini James Bond orders! In it is Wheatley Vodka, Bombay Gin, and English Tea Infused Lillet Blanc. It tasted like a dirty martini and was pretty strong! Smooth as well. I enjoyed it. Next up was a dish called Toad In The Hole which is Yorkshire pudding stuffed with smoked sausage then topped with caramelized onions and gravy. I have never seen anything like this before, but it was so strange, but pretty decent! The Yorkshire pudding was a bit eggy and dense. The gravy was a must though, since the other components of the dish lacked the salt that I was seeking. Next up was the Cloth Of Gold Old which is an Old Fashion with a twist which contained Old Forester, fresh lemon and honey. I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure why the mention of Old Fashion was on the menu unless this is supposed to differ from an "Old Fashioned". No matter, moving on. Next up were the Potato Pom Pom which are fired potato balls served with a house-made cheddar cheese sauce. It sounds like a simple dish. The cheese was thick, majorly cheddar-y. I really, really liked these! They tasted like a fancy tater tot. The potato inside was so soft and tender and the exterior was so crispy. My last drink of the night was the Bramble On Rose which is their take on a 1980's classic created in Soho, London. In it is Bombay Gin, fresh lemon, rose water and blackberry syrup. This was my favorite drink of the night. It was fresh, had some herbal flavors and the rose flavor made itself known. I really, really liked this drink and would certainly order it again. Lastly, the quintessential Fish & Chips! It's Atlantic cod in a brown ale batter, served with musky peas, chips, tartar sauce and a curry sauce. The curry sauce was surprisingly fantastic. I was blown away and absolutely needed more of it. The mushy peas resembled guacamole, but I had no idea how I was supposed to eat them. Lol. Were they a sauce? I don't know, but they tasted exactly how you'd think they'd taste. The fish was also fantastic. It was light, yet greasy and crispy. Value: The most expensive thing on the menu is $22.00. This place is not expensive at all so you certainly won't break the bank. Portions are decent size too. In conclusion, I absolutely enjoyed myself here and highly recommend you (reading this) to check it out! British food is... unpredictable if I must throw a word on it. Lol. Like, I almost couldn't predict what some of this stuff would taste like because I had never had anything like it before! Now, I'm a believer!
