Ordered 2 casseroles and the third one was free! The pork ribs , sausage, and chicken cheek were all tasty.
December 27, 2024 - Had dinner with some friends (5 in total). We ordered the clay pots buy two get one free (cash only deal), fried dumplings and beef brisket. The food was very good. My friends weren't a fan of the chicken clay pot as it had bones in it. The bones gives it so much flavour. I liked it. I also liked the 4 kinds of Preserved meat, definitely my favourite. I didn't get to try the beef clay pot. The brisket was so soft and tender. Servers were nice and the service was good. Definitely a 3.5/4 star restaurant
Arrived on a late friday night for some post-workout dinner after a badminton session. My friend and I each got our own claypot rice and then shared 2 dishes. Eggplant w/ fish sauce, XO garlic sauce and minced meat: Pretty good eggplant! Not the best I've ever had (Congee Wong's holds a special place in my heart) but definitely not too shabby. The eggplant was nice and soft and the sauce was great w/ rice. I think they added scallops throughout this dish as well so it was pretty hearty. Would order again. Chicken & mushroom claypot rice (w/ free range chicken): Good claypot rice. Does it beat Good Taste Casserole, no but I give it 2nd place. The crispy rice on the bottom could've been done a lil better and the sauce used on the rice could've been just a tad sweeter. Sweet n' sour pork: The pineapples had this nice spicy tang to them for some reason which was cool. The pork itself was actually decent! There were more fatty pieces than I'd have liked but most of the pork remained crispy. Definitely not top 5 material for SNS pork or anything. Service was pleasant even though we arrived 1.5 hr from closing time haha. Will definitely have to come back to try the hotpot which is what they're known for.

Heard a lot of good reviews for this restaurant so we decided to give it a try. Arrived Monday night at 5:10pm, and it is no waiting yet, we got a table immediately. Ordered the famous chicken pot, it was big portion, enough for 4ppl, also ordered additional veggies to go with the hot pot. Rice in pot was very tasty too, my favourite part is the crispy bottom of the rice, delicious! It is a small restaurant, and gets lineup very quickly, so come early to avoid the waiting list.
When your mother has a $30 coupon and suggests that it be used, you accept. The coupon was for 和顺火煱Harmony Hotpot 和順火鍋. We walked in at 5:30pm on Saturday and there was already a 30-minute wait time for a seat. The consumer is still going strong! P.S., There is a system to punch in your reservation and they will text you when to come back; maybe walk to the bookstore at the end of the plaza or the No Frills to kill some time. I believe Harmony Hotpot is the (new) sister restaurant of 和順煲仔飯 Harmony Restaurant which is located across the street. The interior of Harmony Hotpot is much more comfortable and contemporary than the OG except I find their chairs a bit low for my liking. It is also spacious and well lit: there is plenty of space between each table and the table itself is quite large so you are not fighting with your neighbour for territory (at least at the smaller 4 person tables). We ordered the chicken hotpot with coconut and some Chinese herbs. This is the cheapest chicken hotpot option and does not come with any sides and the order does come with a whole plate of chopped chicken. The broth is clear and not overly sweet, however, the few slivers of coconut meat in the broth were barely able to impart coconut flavour into the broth - it is likely the blandest hotpot option on the menu. One con is the amount of chicken hair that was not plucked on the chicken skin. Overall, it is an enjoyable meal to share - there is a good vibe in the restaurant. However, we chose the cheapest option and did not order other side dishes from the kitchen (which appear to be priced reasonably well) and as a result, we did not experience all the establishment has to offer.
Be prepared to wait on the weekends, especially dinner as this spot (and their new location) is very busy. If the restaurant is full, there is a waiting list where you put your number and number of guests. However, you will have to walk in to put the name yourself as the servers won't do it for you. We came around 6:30pm on Saturday, and for a table of two, and only waited around 15-20mins before they called us back. Their menu offers a variety of hotpot combos, as well as claypot rices, Chinese dishes and much more. As their hotpot is commonly ordered, we opted to try the Chicken & Herb Hot Pot Combo which included a choice of either Beef/Lamb Slices, choice of Beef/Lamb balls, and vegetables. For the two of us, the amount was a lot as we were both getting very full! However, if you don't have enough, you can always add additional items (for a cost). The beef balls were my favourite as you could tell it's freshly made in house! Usually frozen beef balls are brown, and tough, however these were red, and very soft! The second location of the famous Harmony restaurant, located across the street in the Silver Star Food Complex. This location has put in some more effort to its decor and seating arrangements compared to the older one. This restaurant is known for their pepper and chicken soup, claypot rice and authentic Canto dishes. The pepper soup is especially popular during the colder months. Ordering process is simple - right on the iPad and it goes straight to the kitchen. Your food comes out promptly after. Reservations are only allowed for large groups, available to book at 5pm, 7pm or 9pm. Otherwise, its a walk-in basis only but beware, this place gets packed! The parking lot is usually very busy during prime hours, but the good thing is they're located right next to No Frills which has a lot of excess parking spots if you don't mind the further walk. Authentic and consistent quality, great service and comfortable seating - highly recommend.

Would prefer to eat claypot rice at the restaurant but this will have to do. Good portions of everything and it was delicious. It will definitely satisfy cravings. When it's safe to do so and dine in, I'm going back!
I came with family on a Saturday afternoon because we heard about their $9.99 Hainanese Chicken Rice and thought it was a fantastic deal. We also ordered their 5 dish meal set which was $65.88 and it comes with white rice. Essentially you can pick 2,3,4 or 5 dishes from a set menu available only for lunch from 11am-4pm. When we entered, we had to register in line on their tablet by the entrance. There was a line up but we only waited 10-15 minutes so it wasn't too bad. Ambiance was like your typical Chinese restaurant. For the dishes, we got Sweet and Sour Pork, Mushroom Fish Maw, Stir-fried Pickled Mustard Greens with Pork Tripe, Stir-Fried Beef with Hot Green Peppers and the Stir-Fried Beef with Mushrooms and Scallions. We also got the Salt & Pepper Fish. All the dishes were pretty good with very large portions. But the only issue was that the flavor was a bit too strong. I think they might've over seasoned the food. It was also too oily. I think next time, we will ask for less oil and less salt. The sweet and sour pork was not that great though. It was too sweet and the pork pieces was tiny. It also wasn't crispy at all. My favorite dish was the stir-fried pickled mustard greens with pork tripe. The pickled greens really added a nice acidic tang to the dish. As for the $9.99 Hainanese Chicken Rice, I can't comment on how authentic it is but it is such a great value. They actually give like half a free range chicken and the rice was infused with that chicken oil. It was quite delicious. Almost every table ordered this, some even ordered multiple. They do limit to 1 per person. I think this restaurant is great for Chinese food. The prices are cheap and the portion sizes are massive. The dish meal sets even comes with white rice per dish. Other restaurants charge $2.5-3 for a bowl of white rice. The flavor was a bit strong but I think some people would actually like that. But my family has a Cantonese palate and prefer lighter flavors. Next time, I will try their House Special Pork Tripe and Chicken noodle soup. I heard that is what they are known for. They also have clay pot rice which I am interested in as well. Also they only take cash. read more

Not to be confused with Harmony hotpot across the street but the same owners. Got recommended to try their $9.99 hainanese chicken special and it comes with a hot drink. They also got buy two clay pot rice and get third free. We got the eel, chicken and salted fish pork patty. FYI the clay pot rice does take time , 20-30 mins. We also got the house special white pepper pork tripe and chicken with Wu gu noodles. The chicken rice was infused with lemongrass as well which was different but my family enjoyed it. read more
I absolutely love this place. My go to thing to order here is the peppery pork belly soup. Always add side dish of beef and veggies to soak in all the soup. The broth is absolutely a flavour explosion. If you enjoy a bit of a kick to your soup base, this is a perfect thing to order! The staffs are very helpful and friendly. Not bad for a hearty meal. I ordered takeout during dinner time and the wait time was around 30 minutes, so be prepared to call ahead. They had a special at the time where it was buy 2 get one free on the caseroles. For 2 people this was enough for 3 meals. The shredded chicken was tasty as it was full of strong sesame and herbs. Will definitely get this again. Next time I'll try the hot pot which people have been raving about. read more

We come here every time we visit Canada (June, 2023, February 2024, and today). My teens always look forward to coming here for their lamb stew hot pot. This time was horrible visit where everything was just unexpected. They didn't have the lamb and bean stick stew. The waitress was trying to be nice, but couldn't stop talking so we could not eat at peace, kept insisting on her instructions on how to put the side dishes based on her method. Mind you that I cook a lot (just not the lamb stew). She did recommend the seafood chicken hot pot base which is supposingly similar to the lamb stew, it was at first, but after the second sip, you lost all your taste buds on your tongue due to some spice. We could not enjoy the hot pot after the second bowl, where the kids stop eating. We adults could not finish and stopped eating because we lost our taste buds. Normally, we love to bring the leftovers home, but not this time and had 1/2 the pot still full and trashed. I mentioned it to the waitress attention and she kept making excuses that the lamb stew is not served in the summer (that's a lie because we had it last year for the first time), made excuse we didn't try other flavors that are just as good, ignored our simple suggestion to let the boss know, she was just full of cover up excuses although she tried to be nice about it. This restaurant use to give a free side vegetable, but no more. They down graded and our experience was unhappy (especially 4 teens with numbed tongues and only 2 bowl serving) and I bluntly told her that we may not come again and go to another spot that serves individual versions of this. Just a horrible experience for something we look forward to every visit. read more

Congee | Claypot rice | Hotpot | Cash only | Limited parking #1 及低粥 congee Pretty good small bowl good for one. #17 炸兩 fried dough stick (wrapped in rice paper) Thin rice paper and fresh served with only soy sauce. They do not have seafood sauce 甜醬 but you can ask them for芝麻醬 peanut sauce. #22 金牌豬手 fermented red bean curd pigs feet 5 pieces. Not the softest I've had but decent. #54 蠟味煲仔飯 clay pot rice w/ preserved meat Small pot fresh and hot. Came with vegetables. Only came with thinly sliced red sausage 蠟腸 and fatty meat 蠟肉 but not the black sausage 潤腸. Not a lot of soy sauce or any sauce on the side provided. That's disappointing. 3.5 star Stay Calm! And be in Harmony! Opens at 6:30 am daily to fulfilled and stop my craving for rice rolls?! And during the breakfast hour, I can get a combo for $4.99 that includes a choice of any congee and rice roll! Congee with Chicken Slices and Mushroom ($4.99) - I love the congee base. The thick and smooth kind that I am used to! do think the base is the most important part of the congee Rice Roll with Dried Shrimps ($2.99) - It was ok. It has the chewy texture which I like. Food over all is 3 star. But for them to open at 6:30 am well worth that extra 0.5 star. They also serves hot pot rice for $9 and up with a double boiled daily soup. Make sure you try their house made chili oil: taste like XO sauce and really addictive! Definitely worth giving this place a try if you like all these traditional Cantonese style comfort food. read more
A more local's destination that serves both tasty claypot rice AND Canton hotpot. The casserole rice comes with a side of Choy Sum and remember to drizzle the rice with soy sauce from the side. The dish takes longer to arrive (~20 min wait) but the crispy rice you get is nice. If you order the ones with preserved duck, it is usually tough and make sure to carefully debone everything! At times I find that it can be a little salty, but still very good. The Canton style dipping hotpot comes with beef balls, beef slices, chicken, and vegetables. Arrived fast. Good amount for 2~3 people and it can be adjusted for your party. Also, the complimentary soup was delicious. Hotpot soup was decent, sauces (combined) great and chicken was the best. A small place, busy and packed during dinner, and good for parties because of the hotpot, worst part would be the noise level.. sooo loud.. the locals just get real comfortable here.. If you're a large party, make a reso. Anyway, I would come again if I want these TWO together. read more

3.5 I waited a couple of visits before writing my review because I already had an absolute favourite Chinese rice casserole restaurant and I wanted to give Harmony a fair review. I generally enjoy dinner here, service is decent for a Chinese restaurant and prices are fair. Food quality overall is good but their rice casseroles are not what I would come for. I've ordered virtually every offering of rice casseroles, I like their "meat loaf" the most - just fat enough to be juicy but not greasy to eat. Their rice and veggies however are so oil drenched, you don't feel like eating too much of it. Their soups are light and delicious, you can taste how there's definitely no MSG. I really enjoying their congee and rice rolls. The quality is way better than a lot of restaurants that specialize in these. Definitely recommend their simple pork rice roll, it's just a simple product done really well! read more
Food: 3 stars + value 0.5 star. Total 3.5 stars If there is a Chinese diner category, Harmony fits right in. Harmony serves breakfast to late night (opens from 6:30am to 1am daily) with a relatively focused/themed menu: congee, chung fun, lo mein (I don't recall seeing soup noodle on menu, but I can be wrong), rice in clay pot and hot pot. We ordered house special chung fun, congee with blood jello and a lo mein with pork hog. The chung fun was unique for sure: so much minced vegi bits that I couldn't taste the minced meat. I guess it is a healthier option then. The blood jello was really good, as in super fresh and silky. The congee was smooth, silky yet I wish there was no msg. True that there was just a little bit of msg, but I didn't think it needed any to start with. The pork hogs were good, too, but the low mein was not egg noodle and it was very soggy. It should be drained more before serving. Last but not least, friendly service and good value for money. The portion was very good. We finished the congee and the chung fun but barely dug into the lo mein. We packed most of the lo mein home. The total bill was approximately $25 before taxes. read more
This restaurant was recommended by my parents as they are doing 2 + 1 deal, meaning if you order 2 ceramic pot rice with 2 items, yoy get one ceramic pot rice for free. The environment was filled with noise pollution since the guests table right across from me kept cursing and there was a baby kept screaming. I guess the staffs can't really control that. The pork cake with perserved fish rice was excellent with nice nutty aroma, and I especially like the crunchy caramelized rice with a little hot water. It was a nice touch with some steamed vegetable. The staff was really friendly as we originally sat at a table close to window which was really cold, and she recommended a table which was closer to the heat source. It was a pretty good place to go if you want to have ceramic pot rice at a good price. read more
It's your basic congee joint. Simple food options like cheung fan, clay pot rice and congee are the main attractions here. Our table for 2 were the only customers on a Friday afternoon. I ordered the fish belly congee while mister ordered the lamb cheung fan. Congee did not meet my expectations but the lamb cheung fan was surprisingly delicious. Nice option in this area, but not worth gong out of the way for. read more

Fairly new and already lots of people have tried this place. It's clean, the service is efficient and good tastes great with reasonable pricing. The claypot rice here is less oilier than the other places that I've tried, which is nice for a change. The soup that comes along for starters is also tasty with the right amount of salt and you can definitely tell they don't skimp on the ingredients to make such a tasty soup. The rice roll can be a meal on its own as well as appetizers if shared. We had the homemade River rolls which had 8 rolls on one plate. Great deal, good service, clean place. Definitely worth a visit! read more
Food was decent. Service was fast. Rice rolls- soft but a bit bland. Not enough soy sauce in my opinion. Congee- ok nothing too special. More on the thick consistency side. Hot Rice pot- the crunchy rice stuck to the pot was really good. Not burnt and really tasty. Chicken had lots of bone in it. Still the best dish there tho. read more

We tried the pork and preserved egg congee, pork cheung fun, and the braised lamb noodle with a party of three. The congee was my favourite dish today as it was the perfect consistency and gave the same home-y feeling as the congee mom would make! The pork cheung fun and braised lamb noodle were both very filling and delicious. I'm not a huge fan of lamb, but I still enjoyed the noodles and my boyfriend gets it every time he comes here! We got the small size and we're still all very full, so if you're planning on sharing meals be mindful of sizes and appetites! We also got an iced lemon tea which was not too tart yet not too sweet, perfect to refresh your palate between bowls of the hot congee and rich broth of the noodles. Overall, all the items we got were fair in price and were certainly worth trying. The service was also great and food was served quickly. The environment was welcoming and clean. I most definitely plan on returning to Harmony to try more of what they have to offer! read more

Nothing special for casserole rice dishes and noodle in soup. It wasn't horrible , if you're just looking for a place to grab a bite. It's edible. But there's so many restaurants in the area I would honestly choose somewhere else. Stir fry dishes are decent. Hk milk tea was meh~ read more

I came with several friends and we shared a variety of items. The restaurant had a special for their clay pot rice so we had three of those. I really liked the clay pot rice. They were all very tasty and hot. I especially love the crispy rice you get on the clay pot! The service was great and we enjoyed the food. I will return whenever I want clay pot rice again! read more
