Vegan Buffalo chicken ranch sandwich made with "soy curls"
    Jeremy C.

Spent a day and a half in Cincy over the weekend as i came up from Nashville for a concert. With such a short amount of time here, i was desperate to find something special. Findlay Market was on my very short list of things to do for my visit and i found Harmony Plant Fare, an NY Style vegan deli, while i was here. No, im not a strict vegan but every once in a while it's nice to do something different and go on the seemingly healthier route. I immediately decided on the vegan Buffalo chicken sandwich that's made with "soy curls", and this thing was literally PACKED with "chicken", celery, and cashew ranch. This sandwich gets super messy so be sure you have enough napkins... or just improvise and lick your fingers at this point, cause you seriously won't want to lose any of that spicy goodness.

Always enjoy stumbling across amazing places ... and today we hit the motherboard of vegan treats and dishes togo. We grabbed a few oatmeal and chocolate cream pies and gluten free to top it off! my gosh they were fantastic! Very friendly staff and in the heart of Findlay marketplace.

    The Italian did not disappoint!

It's been a longtime (like 30 years) since I've had a deli sandwich/grinder/sub that wasn't all veggies or a veggie burger. I mean a real sub with "meat" and "cheese". Harmony Plant Fare changed all that. This all-vegan deli makes a variety of carryout favorites that many vegans and vegetarians have missed. I got The Italian ($9), an overflowing roll with vegan ham and cheese fully dressed with fresh lettuce, tomato, onion, banana peppers, and oil & vinegar. It looks small in the photo compared to in person! I wanted a sweet treat for later and decided on Chubby Bunny's marble cake ($6). This gluten-free delight was also huge! I was in heaven. This slab of deliciousness took me three seatings to finish. The folks at Harmony Plant Fare are so welcoming and happy to answer any questions from seasoned vegans to omnivores looking to try something new. I cannot wait until my next trip to Cincinnati to try the Chopped Cheese!

Our Sunday walks usually include HPF at Findlay market. As vegetarians we appreciate all of the delicious options they have to offer! They always have a yummy special and our favorite is the Italian sandwich. There are tons of sides and items you can take home as well. The people are so friendly and willing to help. We also got a side of Carolina bbq vegan jerky that was great! They have lots of vegan jerky flavors.

Expected that I'd head to The KY / OH area and lose a few pounds... that was not the case. Yes, this is a full vegan deli. It's like a regular deli, but it's vegan. We're talking vegan cream cheese (multiple flavors) by the pound, a wide variety of cold and hot sandwiches, a plethora of sides. Oh, and unfortunately they had a whole case of baked vegan goods. Sigh, the days of scavenging for leaves on the ground to eat when no options are available, have officially come to an end. *also, this deli is located in a really unique market place. Conveniently located directly across from a butcher, so keep ya eyes closed babies.

Look, it's been AGES since I've had an Italian sub or Turkey Bacon sandwich. I think I've pretty much forgotten what they taste like. On a whim we decided to hit up Cincy for lunch and saw this business with some pretty delicious-sounding food. I was definitely itching to try it. It was so good, I might sell a kidney for more. Yes, that needed its own sentence. I was already mourning the loss of the sandwich by the time I finished. My spouse and I each tried one and honestly couldn't stop saying enough good things about the quality. We even got their Mac and cheese -- that was also very tasty. I think I would've liked a little more salt and pepper, but that's a personal choice. It had some vaguely smoky taste that I really liked. Lastly, we got the final piece of birthday cake they had: I haven't eaten it yet, but I'm sure it's also going to be a 10/10.

Their buffalo (chicken*) ranch sandwich is a must have!! Even if you're not vegan!! also, staff was super sweet! (BTW-it's inside Findlay Market!)

We were greeted enthusiastically by a server when we entered and immediately ordered Mimosas, she forgot one of them and needed to be reminded that we ordered two. Since we had been looking at the menu on Instagram for a few days we knew what we wanted to order and ended up with the French toast and Korean breakfast. The food came out in an average amount of time and was a huge portion of food! In addition it was all so beautifully presented with lots of color, texture and edible flowers on top. Taste wise the food was just okay. The French toast didn't taste like captain crunch at all and there was so much mango sauce on top that it was slightly overwhelming. I would ask for sauce on the side next time. My boyfriend loved his Korean breakfast and only wished that the kimchi was cut up a little bit smaller so he could mix it in a bit easier with his rice. Brunch didn't wow me but I would like to return for a dinner. The last thing to note is that the chef was walking around the dining room greeting people but he never stopped at our table. So, idk if he only does it to people he knows or what but that was disappointing.

I hopped on the dessert too fast and forgot to take a photo, but that was one of my favorite tonight (taro custard, Thai milk tea flan, etc). I also love to hear the chef explaining all the dishes. I ordered a Connecticut role deemed as the classic role with warm meat, butter, and lemon on a new England roll. The roll was small, with 2 hearty chunks of lobster. I also ordered the lobster tots. The tots came with chopped lobster, cilantro lime sauce, pico de gallo, and a lime wedge. I'm not a tots fan, but the sauce and pico really took the dish to another level. Although I prefer french fries over tots, I will order this dish again. I enjoyed my food from Cousins Maine Lobster. I'm not sure I will get the roll again, but I'll give them another chance in the future to try the grilled cheese. I spent a little over $30 for the roll and tots. Living in FL, I have my go to places for comparable lobster rolls and dishes at a cheaper price. I understand this lobster is from Maine so there's added cost associated with that. For me, this is an once in a while treat to cure my lobster craving.

We each also got the lobster bisque when my husband went back out for more food because we were both still hungry after eating the roll. I also had the Root Beer. I think the root beer was the best part of the meal. It was really good. The lobster tasted good and only some of it was rubbery. I wouldn't seek them out again.

The crunch of the crust, the tenderness of the meat. Perfectly seasoned and not salty, ugh I'm so happy. I enjoyed the street corn but I think it might be a little misplaced as a side. It definitely belongs with a taco? Maybe if the corn were smoked it would bring the two items together in my mind. Well, until I walked by the carving station and saw that hot, moist, smoked brisket. I had to go for it and what a great choice. THAT BRISKET WAS BETTER THAN BBQ JOINTS WITH A BRICK AND MORTAR! They left some fat on for flavor, but just enough that was edible along side the meat. Nice seasoning, smoke flavor and pairs great with a beer. The last place I recommended for bbq, we left completely underwhelmed with some dry brisket that needed to be soaked in sauce. (Somewhere in Walnut Hills) I will gladly redeem my recommendations Cree with this place. Maybe at another brewery. The brisket can stand on its own; sauce optional.
