As a pretty low maintenance, nail person I am extremely disappointed by Harmony Nail and would never recommend this place to anyone. I called morning of for a gel mani appointment for my sister and I because we were desperately in need of some nail care. 1) The nail techs do the job rushed and it's so obvious they're doing it rushed and without paying attention to detail. As you can see from my photos, I still had nail polish on the surrounding skin on 4 of my nails. I'm no pro, but if I'm paying $35 for a gel mani, I want a nice gel mani where you clean the excess polish off with some acetone. Come on now. 2) I had come in with some shabby nails, having ripped off gel extensions about 3 weeks ago. I initially chose a light yellow color which did not go on nicely. I tried to tell the nail tech that I wasn't happy with it but she just kept trying to clean up my nails with oil when I was trying to tell her I wanted to change the color. I even asked if I could get another coat to help with the uneven color but she said no because she already put on the top coat. The manager eventually came over and the nail tech then asked me what color I wanted a million times without giving me time and space to consider other colors. Needless to say I don't like this new color at all, and will likely be doing damage repair on my own. I just felt rushed during this entire process. It was NOT a relaxing or enjoyable process at ALL. It was obvious that the nail tech didn't give two farts about doing the job well. Note to the salon: if you don't have time on your schedule just SAY SO!!! I would rather go later or at a time when the nail techs aren't so rushed and can actually do a good job! Unless their skill set is just this terrible. Super disappointed. Never going back. read more

What went wrong: in a few days before my pedicure to ask for a price list. The at the counter gave me a small card with the lists of prices. Went in today for a basic pedicure no spa and callous remover. Sandy who did my pedicure was really rude and kept asking me if I wanted my hairy legs waxed. I said no twice and she asked once more! As she was cutting my cuticles with her sharp tool her hand slipped and she cut my foot! She then laughed nervously and apologized said it was an accident! She then started the callous removing process and kept showing me the dead skin she was removing! Not sure if she was trying to embarrass me or show off her skills but it was really weird and unnecessary!! So she brings me my total at the end.. and this is where I realized I would never be coming back here! She wanted to charge me $34 for something that I was on the price list I was given 2 days ago was 24! I told her I came in two days ago and she said the prices changed a year ago and that maybe that card was something that was given to me a year ago and I must have been confused!! She was confused! So I asked to speak to the owner. The owner was the one who gave me the card 2 days ago!! And she refused to honor the price she gave me! She said she told me the prices were different now! I always like coming here because there is a warm welcome. The environment is clean and all the manicurists are punctual and caring. I especially like Jacky because he has firm hands but gentle and does a professional foot pedicure and massage. I have also had my eyebrows done by a young lady. What I really appreciate is that they honor my wishes and don't apply to much pressure. The building is located in Old Town Pasadena which means it is close to good shopping afterwards! read more

Called at 2:30 and was told to come in at 3:30. Well at 3:30 they said they were too busy and to come back at 4. Asked who told me to come in at 3:30 and they said she had gone home. I received a gift certificate for a manicure and pedicure with 10 minute arm and leg massage as a gift. Pros: Didn't have to make an appn Easy to get to, free parking in Old Pas Good color selection Massage chairs Cons: They never asked if I was happy with the job, I would have asked for another coat of polish on my hands They missed doing the sides on my hands They didn't cover the full area on my toes So, while I'm glad to get gift certificates to this place, I would not go there without a gift certificate read more

Excellent customer service. Great mani pedi, they take their time and are thorough. Great massage, wax and threading services too! Its a one stop shop. They have good quality gel polishes and use clean tools. They offer several services, including CBD mani pedi. Fong and Tammy are my favorite. Reasonably priced. Highly recommend. read more

worst experience ever, I wouldn't have chosen an ombré design if they told me they weren't capable of making it. Charged me $50. The lady did try her best but this was just bad in the end. Do not recommend. I was extremely misled by the one ombré picture they have on Yelp. She was almost burning each of my own fingernails when she was drying the gel nail glue. I have to give these folks a ton of credit for being very creative in a time of COVID quarantine. They are doing manicures and pedicures in their parking garage space, and they are doing a fine job of it. They were incredibly friendly, accomodating, and as far as I could tell following all sanitary protocols. I hadn't had a real pedicure since June and my feet were a hot mess. The gal who did my pedicure performed a miracle. My feet look so much better. Until I can go back to my regular place, these folks are great. I am a new fan. read more

It would have only been annoying, but later I realized she messed up one of my eyebrows and took too much off. One was thinner than the other. I eventually went to another place and there, they lined them up better, correcting her mistake. It wasn't worth the money and trip, if this is the service we may get.

Unfortunately, that just wasn't my experience. I went in for a brow lamination and shaping and explained that I wasn't into the super thick, trendy brow look. I wanted something more natural and balanced. After the lamination process, she started shaping my brows and when she showed me the results, I immediately noticed they looked uneven and lacked symmetry and thicker than I had wanted. I mentioned it to her and asked if she could correct them a bit, and while she did try, they still didn't look right to me afterward but I paid and left. I felt I could shape them better at home myself. The friend I had brought with me pointed out that they looked different from each other. Individually, they weren't terrible, but together, they just didn't look balanced or well-shaped as a pair. Don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting perfect symmetry because brows are naturally sisters, not twins, but for a $150 service from someone with such a strong reputation, I did expect more attention to overall shape and balance. What disappointed me the most was what happened over the next few days. My brow hairs stayed extremely dry, stiff, and brittle well past the normal timeframe. By day three, they still felt very dry and I started noticing actual breakage and kinking in the hairs. After researching it online, it really seemed like my brows were overprocessed. I reached out to her because I understand mistakes happen and everyone can have an off day. I simply wanted to let her know what was happening and hoped she would at least respond or offer some help. Unfortunately, I never heard back from her at all, and honestly that part spoke volumes to me. I truly don't understand how so many people had such amazing experiences while mine was so disappointing, but this was genuinely my experience and I wanted to share it honestly.

No prob, I rather pay the business directly. They honored the Groupon price. I added an add-on to my service, which is normally priced at $20, but they charged me $30 for it. You could hear them talking about charging me $30 for it vs $20 since I was a Groupon deal (assuming it's already money lost for them). You can hear *everything* because there is no separation between "rooms". Just curtains. My fault for not saying anything in the moment... Outside of this, as alluded to, there are no rooms so there is no privacy or sense of relaxation. If you don't want to be on Groupon because you won't make $$ off of it, then take yourself off. No one is being forced to put themselves on that platform.

I also couldn't believe the price on the phone. I was quoted $25-$30 on the phone for a Brazilian wax, so I thought, "why not?". The place was beautiful, and in a great location. Very clean too! Looked VERY HIGH END. Lynn took me to the back room for the waxing. There was no disposable panty, but that's okay with me because it's less waste. I'd been waxed before by Olivia at Kayla's Salon in Costa Mesa, and what a difference! Olivia would pull my skin to tighten spots to wax, would "tap, tap" my skin after pulling to relieve the sting, would position my legs in various ways to make sure to get the different spots, and go over any missed strays with tweezers to make sure everything was gone. $40 for a perfect job! Lynn almost seemed squeamish at touching the areas (I totally showered and cleaned before going! I lay there wondering why she got into the line of work if she couldn't stand touching women's genitals), therefore she did not pull my skin taut for the waxing which led to missed spots between my "folds", and although I can handle it - more pain!! She did not raise my legs AT ALL to do my rear (Brazilian wax?). She completely skipped it. There was no tweezing. She said she was done. I tried to hint that she missed a spot by saying, "This is a BRAZILIAN wax, right?" and she said "Yes! Brazilian wax!". I was shy and felt awkward to say, "Hello! You forgot my butt!!", so paid my $25 and left feeling disappointed. :( I went home and ended up re-doing half of it myself, except for the rear which I couldn't reach. She was anal about getting the sides perfect (for swimsuits?), but squeamish when it came to the point half of us get brazilians to begin with! ;) I guess you get what you pay for, but I expected more from a salon that looks so high end in a really nice part of town. read more

Been here 10 times and the person doing my nails has always been very friendly and I've always gotten a quality manicure from here. Not sure if they have recently undergone new managment, but the past two times have been horrible and I'm never coming back here. Last time I went near closing time so the lady rushed my manicure, didn't cut my nails shorter, and left them all different shapes and sizes. She also cut into my cuticle and my nail was bleeding. I decided to give this nail salon another chance and I was unlucky enough to end up with the same lady as last time. This time I asked her to cut my nails shorter because I knew she wasn't going to. She only cut my nails on one hand shorter and left my other hand uncut. This time she cut so far up into my skin that I'm still bleeding after 30 minutes. I told her that my nail is bleeding and all she did was brush it off and put cuticle softener on it. I paid and left in the middle of my manicure. I can't believe I paid money twice to bleed from my nail. read more

I came across this salon because I've been searching for a nail place in this area since I'm moving here from SF. I've been spoiled going to Teashi up north and I was hoping to find an equivalent in the LA area. Don't get me wrong. Everyone was awesome: very polite and courteous. However I thought it was a bit pricey for a regular mom and pop place and although the place was very clean, it is also a brand new place. I would definitely go back for quick fix me ups but I'm still searching for my pampering spot in LA. Next stop will be Burke Williams! read more

All I have to say is... BEST NAIL SALON IN PASADENA! I've been searching for a nail salon that is clean, has tons of nail polishes and great technicians. I found my salon. I come in every other week for a gel manicure and deluxe pedicure and I have never seen technicians that are so detailed. Polish, cuticle trimming and shaping are superb. This salon in the best in Pasadena. It is nestled right off Colorado in Old Town Pasadena and run by Jennifer who is so friendly and generous to all of her customers. All of the technicians are very thorough and take time to make sure everything is done well. There is no doubt that this place is best for eyebrows.. Jennifer does a great job .. but I have recently started to get my bikini wax done from this place... I got brenda, n i was suprised to see that she was just amazing.. she did a quick n nearly painfree(very rare to get both) job.. the whole staff is very friendly and courtious.. My daughter made the reservation in her name. I drove up from Orange County to have a special birthday spa day with her thinking I'd be paying $150 or so. I was shocked at the prices I was charged. I am a senior person on a limited budget and my daughter is unemployed and this was way more than I could afford. To pay well over $366 (including a gratuity which, when I think about it, should have been much lower) is ludicrous. I had to choose the gratuity percentage before I even knew the price of the services! So $300 for two gel manicures and two pedicures is absolutely ridiculous - especially during these times. The manicure itself for me was fine. My daughter had clear extensions put on because she was told in broken English "the color she chose would not look good on short nails" so she was manipulated into getting extensions. Even with glue on nails - at least one of which was glued on incorrectly - her gel manicure shouldn't have been more than $50. They charged $110. Even a new set of acrylics would have cost less. If you have loads of money and time (2-1/2 hours!) and like being ignored and charged for every little thing that is normally part of any other service, then throw your money away here. And, yes, this was the Pasadena location.
