I was driving down Lincoln Highway today when I spotted a brand new nail salon across from Municipal Park. I decided to make a trip here and deviate from my usual nail salon, since the location was convenient and it looked brand new. I am super impressed by this nail salon! The inside is beautiful - very trendy and upscale with gray and white decor. Cute plants, fuzzy pillows and homey-signs hung throughout. It is the most beautiful nail salon I've ever been too, reasonably priced as well! They had a great selection of OPI polish colors and a very ample amount of pedicure chairs and dryers. My nail technician did a beautiful job on my French manicure, it was one of the best I've ever had! Very clean environment and great customer service. I will be making the switch for sure and highly recommend this location. There is a hair salon inside too, but please note that have not used any of their services. read more

Do not go there to get your hair cut. I brought my son there and this is the worst hair cut I've ever seen. My son left crying and I tried styling it but he had cut it so short that there wasn't anything I could do. The lines were uneven around his head and the fading was inconsistent. Never again!! I had a pedicure last Saturday it was ok nothing special. They seemed to have a great choice of powder/dip so I decided to give them a try. After waiting quite some time at the nail bar a tech finally came over with a container of acrylic nails. I mentioned that my nails were real, she acknowledged and proceed to cut my current dip off!! WTH!! Taking large chunks off the corner of my nails. She ask if I need cut down. I said I had no intention but at this point you have to. So she clipped and proceeded to start the dip. I had to ask to have them filed. The end result uneven nails with residue polish on my cuticles which were never touched. Well bottom line never again ...and the price wasn't a bargain either $35.00. Ok. So the place is very pretty. But the owner ANN could be easily described as the worst manager- owner I have ever encountered. After being ignored for what seemed like at least 15 minutes, she sent another associate to tell me they will no longer service me because cause I am too picky. Just because on my last visit she cut my nails way too short and I let her know. Also because I has asked her to please refile the nails cause they were still very crooked. (Not sure how this makes me picky). She brags all the time that she is faster than the others. But her work is sloppy. On previous visits she works so fast that she ended up cutting and filing too much causing pain and bleeding during the appointment. So i stopped into Harmony nail salon at the ol la spina location in thorndale and im totally blown away. The ambiance reminds me of nail spas i have frequented in Texas but on a smaller scale. I got dip maincure and color change for $45. and i was in and out within an hour. The employees are those from Asia nail salon within walking distance from this location but for some reason service was just better here. maybe the different management makes a difference. i give them a manicured thumbs up. Me and my daughter(11) decided to try someplace new. I'm glad we did. Van, did my daughters 1st gel mani and she loved evey bit of it. Her polish was thin and not thick and goopy, her experience was relaxing and she said she is glad we chose the new location. I had a regular pedi and Tao did a fantastic job. Just got maimed and there is no manager to account for the injury. This business apparently has "no manager or owner present ever" to answer to injuring their customers. My toe kept bleeding and they charged me the whole price. She literally cut off a chunk of my cuticle off. And they said pay the bill and there's no customer service available. I was already annoyed because they over charged me for a single broken nail then regular gel and refill then to top it all off I paid $50 just for my nails to be broken within not even a week. Doesn't seem like the technicians have experience to do a good set of nails. One technician had to point out flaws to the lady who was doing my nails. I asked a few times for her to correct things and she just kept filing my nails... they were not covered to the edges with the acrylic and this is what I told her. Don't waste your money on full set or paint job... you can but you will be like me and ask yourself why I didn't just go to the place I usually do. Sometimes the decor means nothing if the job is crappy!! Pedicure was ok, massage not long enough and was a very light, no effort put into it. Ripping my daughter's and my dip nails off with cuticle cutters, them placing a sloppy top coat on top of new dips and charging $35 is hardly a good value or experience. Literally 8 technicians in the salon either doing each other's nails, using massage chairs or on their phones made me truly wonder why my technicians were in such a hurry and doing such an unskilled, sloppy job. HORRIBLE. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. my sister went for a dip manicure, and asked for white color. What she got was a sheer layer of very light pink, which had her nail showing through. When my sister said this isn't what she asked for AT ALL they said they can give her $5 off but still made her pay $30 for their mistake. My mom had a broken nail and said just clip it off, because it was long enough to be clipped. The lady proceeded to put acrylic on it and then clip off the acrylic when shaping!!! My mom had to pay for the acrylic! I went to go to the bathroom, and it was locked for 30 minutes and I could hear people moving in it but they never came out and got quiet when I knocked. Went on a Monday morning... never again. Went to get a gel refill on my acrylics. Now, all my nails are uneven in length, she didn't clean under my nails, my paint is uneven and lumpy.. she didn't even put the clear coat of gel on my nails first, I had to ask her why she didn't, she responded with an "oh" and a smirk, wiped the coat of polish off and then proceeded to do the gel the correct way. Very strange. Today is Wednesday (two days later) and I'm going to get them taken off and a new set put on at a salon that knows what they are doing. A complete waste of money and time. Talk about unwelcoming. Tried to do a walk-in on a Thursday afternoon and after standing awkwardly at the front counter for what seemed a long time, I was asked what I wanted from across the room. Was then told I would have to wait behind 2 people, but no time estimate. Waited 10 minutes and got a better feel for how long the wait would be, so I left. The whole experience was very off-putting. I came for a manicure and pedicure with my mother who uses a cane. We had no idea what time they were closing and it was getting close to that time. They put our minds at ease and helped us. So I have to say the actual salon was gorgeous and the people were very nice! However they will rip you off. They charged me because I wanted glitter polish not a design the same OPI polish I was already getting but in a glitter color. That was an extra $5 that they don't tell you about until after they do your nails. They also charged me an extra $5 for the length of my nails and the funny thing is they were about average length. Anything shorter would have been pointless to have tips on. Second I had them on for 3 weeks before 4 of them broke which is crazy to me because I am a nail addict and always have my nails done...It was less than a month and I had to end up taking them off. So needless to say I paid $35 for a full set with regular acrylic and regular color on my nails that lasted 3 weeks. I decided to stop in today for a mani/pedi. It was Thursday 6/28 at 10 am. When I stepped in the rug was wet which wet my flip flops.. As soon as I stepped on the beautiful floor, I slipped and fell. The front desk guy who was new came right over, he offered support,and asked was I ok. A lady came over, I assumed she was the manager came over and they began speaking on their native language. I decided to stay and see how the mani/pedi turned out and how they would handle my fall from a customer service standpoint..the new guy, he told everyone it was his first day was attentive, he checked on me several times as I got my pedi, not at all.during my mani. Once done, it was an OK mani/pedi, nothing better or worse than your average nail place. When checking out, the woman apologized and then blamed my flip flops and the wetness outside as she swiped my credit card for payment, I expected not to be charged since I fell at their establishment. I said it's 80 degrees and dry. The rug was wet. She said noooo, it was wet outside and you brought it in on your sandals. Having to pay and then being blamed, I will never go there again and I will tell anyone who listens what I experienced and they can decide for themselves. read more

the inside of this place is ASTOUNDING! looks like something you would find in new york... very different and upscale for what you usually find in this area. however, my refill took about 10 minutes and many parts would noticeably skipped. when the acrylic was put on, it wasn't put on evenly so now there is a hump of acrylic separating the bottom and top. they also don't have a large selection of regular polish. i usually go to diamond nails and will stick with them because they do a thorough job but if i could combine this place's aesthetic with diamond's services... it would be heaven. very clean. very pretty. very relaxing. i'd just like all the steps of my refill to be completed next time, instead of half assing it! all in all... it's not a bad deal so i would still recommend it over the other local salons aside from diamond. read more
