I was staying near the Kalispell Center Mall & wanted to ride around to see the sights and act just like a local. (This is always a high priority for me when I travel to a new place.) I jumped on the Whitefish Express (the Express bus costs $3) that ends up at the O'Shaughnessy Center, hung out for a spell, and then jumped right back on the return express bus to Kalispell. I kind of got a city tour for the price of a bus ride. But I had to deduct 1 YELP STAR due to the Kalispell to Glacier Park bus service not starting up until July! I want to go there now! Still I have to commend scenic, rustic Kalispell for having such great public transportation options like Eagle Transit.

The sleeping cart was a little better then what I imagine. There are leg rooms you can move a little. The window is big enough you get the full view. Staff was friendly and attentive, so that is a big plus. Not to mention that the foods that they offer on their menu are delicious. It's all covered if you purchased the package. It was worth it I mean breakfast, lunch, and dinner all included. Yes, you can take shower on the train, but it's actually pretty fun. While taking a shower when the train is moving lol but just don't fall. Definitely it's worth the experience to take the Amtrak overnight if you haven't done it yet.

The taxis drive erratically and don't have concern for other drivers on the road. I called to report, and the owner denied that the driver was erratic. He stated that he keeps a close eye on his taxis and it was for medical transport. Unless it is an ambulance, and there are lights and flashers so the other vehicles on the road can pull over to be safe, there is no reason to drive that way. I would never use this business based on their poor driving quality and the owner unable to apologize and take responsibility for illegal driving from their drivers.

However, on my way to Ponderay, I was passing a SPOT transport station on 1st avenue near Kootenai Elementary school, when "on the dot" at 8:27am the SPOT bus pulled up and the driver Susan welcomed me to get wheels into town (a three mile walk). I gladly obliged and the driver and people getting a ride were all very nice and well-dressed for public transportation (I come from a big city where public transit is sketchy at best). We had a couple of stops but got downtown in around 15 minutes! Perfect for getting to a place to do work today. Highly recommend taking this transit and please donate money(there is a little container like public buses in cities), tell people about it, and spread the good feelings around.

The Schweitzer bus is $3 per person but like I said the Spot is free. We are always looking for transportation before we book a destination to travel to because we hate renting cars. Thanks to this bus we were able to stay in beautiful Sandpoint and get around hassle free. The drivers were always friendly, great mode of transportation for this town and I hope it's around for a long time!

Ice capped peaks as far as the eye can see, some glaciers, lakes a waterfalls can be viewed. Easily one of the top helicopter rides we've been on. The reservation process is a bit tricky and played by ear. You get an initial confirmation then a second confirmation the night before. We were able to book the day before and they were very accommodating. The weather is highly variable in Glacier Park and understandably they may have to cancel depending on the weather. However it worked out for us.

If the weather is bad, they will cancel for safety reasons, so we were blessed with beautiful weather. A must do.
