Eagle Transit is a bus line that operates in the Flathead Valley of Montana. Eagle Transit "provides general public and para-transit services within Flathead County. All vehicles are ADA accessible and equipped with lifts. Most fares are $1.00 each way," according to their website. Eagle Transit operates Monday through Friday from 7:00 am-7:00 pm. However, routes vary in terms of days and hours of operation, so it's best to check their schedules to be sure. The transit service offers bus service in Kalispell, Whitefish and Columbia Falls. I was staying near the Kalispell Center Mall & wanted to ride around to see the sights and act just like a local. (This is always a high priority for me when I travel to a new place.) I jumped on the Whitefish Express (the Express bus costs $3) that ends up at the O'Shaughnessy Center, hung out for a spell, and then jumped right back on the return express bus to Kalispell. I kind of got a city tour for the price of a bus ride. But I had to deduct 1 YELP STAR due to the Kalispell to Glacier Park bus service not starting up until July! I want to go there now! I understand that you guys are just getting up,running and working out the kinks as they say but there is an entire valley that needs reliable transporation,not just Kalispell.For starters ending the evergreen area route tells the valley you could not care less if people who live there or need to get in&out of there and that you could care less about them.People cannot get to all the shops,doctors and the places you consider important stops if they can't get a bus to come anywhere near them to get to/from the said shops&doctors.Also some of your stops in vital spots leave people still needing to walk quite a ways without the convenience of sidewalks and have to walk in the road or on the side of the highway.This means that additional stops are needed or stops need to be modified because this is dangerous and you need to address this.Shifting responsibility(i.e:"That's not our problem.")is also unacceptable,take some responsibility and accountability for what you ARE responsible for.We also really need you to start answering the phone each and every time it rings like a normal professional business does instead of letting it ring,making people leave a message and waiting days for a call back. read more
