Amazing helicopter ride with breathtaking views. Go for the full hour ride to see part of the Glacier national park from a very different perspective. Ice capped peaks as far as the eye can see, some glaciers, lakes a waterfalls can be viewed. Easily one of the top helicopter rides we've been on. The reservation process is a bit tricky and played by ear. You get an initial confirmation then a second confirmation the night before. We were able to book the day before and they were very accommodating. The weather is highly variable in Glacier Park and understandably they may have to cancel depending on the weather. This was the highlight of our recent trip to Glacier national park. We drove the HIghway to the sun on our first day, then booked this for an aerial photo tour. Our pilot was amazing, knowledgeable, and didn't take risks (which I appreciated!). We did the one hour tour, I think the half hour would be way too short. We were so happy to see the glaciers, waterfalls and other sights you just cannot get to in the park. We had no problems with our reservation, or the directions for getting there. If the weather is bad, they will cancel for safety reasons, so we were blessed with beautiful weather. A must do. read more

The one hour plane flight was a delightful experience. We were happy that we had just completed a week tour around the park and felt the aerial view gave another perspective to our visit. Spectacular views over Glacier. Helicopter is definitely a one of a kind way to see the park. Since my wife was pregnant at the time, we weren't really able to do all of the more interesting hikes we would have liked to, so we paid a bit and got a ride. Was nice that we called one day and was able to get a ride the next. One thing I found frustrating was that on the half hour flight, all of the glaciers were on one side of the aircraft. We were seated on the other side with two large gentlemen, we didn't know, on the opposite side. So we weren't able to get any pictures of the glaciers, which in Glacier National Park, is a pretty big draw. That all would have added up to about a 4 star review, but when I went to the office to suggest they attempt to correct this for future flights. They were not receptive to this feedback at all. I'm not going to rehash the whole back and forth, but suffice to say, it was enough to drop them two stars. Very disappointing. read more

Excellent in every way. We indulged in the luxury of a private (two-person) tour, so no problems with seating, etc. Pilot was fantastic--he and his wife manage the operation. All facilities are first-class. Tour was mind-boggling. You are guaranteed to have the crap scared out of you, but in a very safe, professional way. It's just that it's insane up above those peaks and the scale of the mountains is so gargantuan that you think you're six feet from a granite wall when you're really more like 300 yards. If you go with a group tour (up to six people), you should know that you may be seated three across, and the seats are skinny. You would not want to be seated next to me. Your seats will be assigned to suit weight distribution, so you might end up in the middle. Re another commenter, you're going to be charged for your two-year-old because she's taking up a seat. Incredible experience. Gary was professional, informative, and clearly in control of the helicopter. The views were phenomenal. He made us feel very comfortable, safe, and it was a comprehensive aerial tour of glacier national park. We did not actually go up in the helicopter, but that is because Gary was very unprofessional and rude to us during the entire "booking" process. Be ware of his process of booking. Have to give credit card info without any clue of actual schedule availability. You do not hear anything back from them via email OR by phone to discuss scheduling. After calling their number 15 times after submitting the online for we FINALLY got in touch and were told they don't make their schedule 'til the night before flights......then at 6:30 pm the night before the flight we STILL had no confirmation about scheduling, I reached out them again (they should be the ones calling me) and was told there was no availability and "why would I expect there would be"! This makes no sense if they weren't making their schedule til that afternoon! Gary was rude and curt to us during the entire process. Glad I am not giving him any $$$$ read more

I was so excited to go on the tour with my husband the next time we came to Glacier. Here we are and I find out the owner retired so they aren't doing the tours anymore. I'm bummed we missed the opportunity. We heard such positive remarks from everyone who suggested it. read more

Last week we traveled out to Glacier and ended up seeing the helicopter parked out on the property from the highway. We called the next morning and was able to book a flight for the same morning. Thank goodness for it being off-season still :) The ride was great and we got tons of stunning pictures. The one thing that is totally a bummer is they aren't like the other local help tour company Krueger... Glacier Heli Tours charged us full price for our 2 yr old. I can understand if he was older and could actually enjoy it but he fell asleep 10 minutes into the ride. Then to get an email the next day from Kruger saying they don't charge for 2 year olds I was caught off guard. I thought they would all have the same standards. Guess not. Will I recommend Glacier Heli? Yes! I just think it was not right for them to charge us for our son. read more

Great flight this past weekend with Gary. I had family in town for a visit, so we took them for an hour-long ride. Even our 84yr old Mom loved it - we were limited to low-level flying due to cloud cover, but that took nothing away from the experience. In August of 2014 Glacier Heli Tours gave my daughter & I a spectacular experience! Coleman was our pilot. He was very knowledgeable, kind & informative. We took the one hour tour which permitted us to see so much more of the one million acre park than we could have in a month. He flew us over the Continental Divide. We flew to the border of Alberta, Canada & observed that the border is defined by the removal of trees along a thin line for that very purpose. We flew over lakes, streams & waterfalls that we never would have seen unless we had been willing to hike for weeks into the wilderness. There is a cabin built by Mennonites as a look out decades ago that still stands at the top of a mountain which even though no longer in perfect condition, is still being used by those rugged enough to be dropped off there by a helicopter service or willing to hike for weeks into the forest. I would love to take this tour during the winter months as well! read more
