One of, if not America's last great ski resorts... We've been coming to WMR since 2016 and IMO, there's no better resort in the country... WMR offers big mountain riding with enough terrain for all levels. While the resort isn't as big as a Vail, Mammoth, Big Sky, Jackson Hole, Park City, etc., it unquestionably holds its own based on how spread out the mountain is, wide access to backcountry, and all the glades, bowls, and chutes you can dream of... You can ride WMR for a full week straight and still not hit all the terrain. If you're looking for a resort that offers steep/deep untouched terrain and glades for days, WMR is it... I've rode all over the States and Europe (St. Anton, Solden, Laax, Zell am See, Garmisch-Partenkirchen), and WMR is my favorite... Couple fair/reasonable prices at WMR with everything the town of Whitefish has to offer, and you'd be be hard pressed to find a better all-around resort and ski town. The one drawback? The Californians and New Yorkers have found Whitefish as well and have arrived like droves of unwanted cock roaches, which has rapidly driven up costs (namely of real estate) and caused some yuppish Vail-like stank... Hopefully Whitefish will stay true to its MT-cool roots and not allow the liberal BS to screw up WMR... #KeepMTcool

Fun family friendly atmosphere. Great runs, excellent instructors and quick rentals. Highly recommend! Definitely a top choice for snow fun!

I took the Chair 1 gondola up to the top of Whitefish Mountain. Amazing views of Whitefish Lake, alpine foliage and we saw a deer scampering around the brush. Smooth ride up to the top and down, no waiting, well-maintained cars. Friendly personnel. I'm not a skier so I can't speak to any of that but this is a well-maintained facility in a gorgeous setting.

Have nothing but great things to say about the staff at the Mountain Bike Center here at Whitefish Mountain. The checkin process was clean and efficient, sized us up and had us out on what looked to be brand new bikes in just a few minutes. And the resort was well equipped for our excursion. Lots of terrain, with easy lift access, and plenty of help getting up on the chair for the 1st time. I do have a bit to say about that 1st time. Although I've biked a bit before, I had never been to a mountain to do so. I expected, not without some cause, that there would be a variety of terrain options. Just like a ski setup, easy Green stuff, Blue intermediate stuff, and Black Diamond hard core. And on the trail map, there was. It was a bit of a surprise that there was not a complete run of Easy terrain that was easy to access. There was some mild stuff, but you could not connect, even from the rental parking lot, a circuit route with a lift that had a Green loop. Second surprise. Green, well that wasn't quite so easy. If you aren't a fairly competent off road bike rider, the easy stuff was still a pretty good challenge. Surprise number three. Taking the easiest way down from the summit, that's 12.6 miles. Ask me how I know. I had a pretty great time, especially before I fell off the bike. Story for another day. Good spot, lots of fun, but it ain't easy.

Taking the ski lift chair up the mountain. Weather is great and so are the views.

While we are staying in the Whitefish area we decided to head up to Big Mountain and take the lift ride to the top. After a scenic drive up the mountain we arrived at the lodge and boarded the chair lift to the top. The ride was great and the views of the mountain side were amazing. From hi king trails to mountain bike trailed, we saw them all. Once we got to the top the view was breathtaking. Pictures don't do it justice. It is well worth the $17.00 each. We had a choice from the chair lift or an enclosed gondola. The chair lift was for me. On the way down you could see the lake and the town. The sights were amazing. If you are in Whitefish y'all need to do this. It was well worth the money.

Beautiful views and ski runs. Was quite cloudy with low visibility and icy ski conditions at times, especially when using chair lift #1. Must take blue runs to get to green trails if taking lift #1 & #2. Stayed at Edelweiss with nice views, kitchenette and hot tub. Snow bus also a nice perk to go into town. A few concerns with the workers at the resort. One of the ski lift workers had gloves that said 'inspired to be a dirt bag'. Dan in the base lodge rental area was very rude when we asked about our ski pass not working at night (the 3day pass says nothing about night skiing being excluded from the pass). Lastly, on Sunday when standing in line waiting for ski lift #1 to open, an off-duty youth ski instructor from the resort was in line next to us (Isiah S. from NC) was making threats towards the tourists, saying 'is tourist season open yet? Can we start shooting them yet? When are these chickens gonna fly back to their coop?' He was also threatening to throw coins at people's helmets and had a laser that he was pointing in people's eyes.He was very loud and obnoxious and made sure everyone knew he was an employee at the resort. He even was purposely standing on the back of our skiis. NOT cool. They are also big sticklers with face masks, even though the state has lifted the mandatory use. Face masks even needed to be worn outside. It was good trip, but had better experiences at Big Sky, Keystone, Breckenridge, and Copper Mt.

Went zip lining for the first time and Quinn and Hunter did an amazing job making it unforgettable! The zip lines were super fun and everywhere we went there was a beautiful view! 10/10 would recommend going zip lining here.

We experienced several rude lift operators and restaurant employees. Reminded me of being in a TSA line.

The staff was all super friendly and they did a great job of explaining everything and making sure we felt safe and comfortable using the equipment. The ropes course is a lot of fun and the higher up course is definitely a challenge! Our eleven year old was able to do the higher up course, but our seven year old opted to skip that and do the bounce house which was fun for him. Both kids had a blast in the splash pond, and the food at the neighboring cafe was delicious and fresh! I would highly recommend a visit to this place if you're in the area and want to do something other than hiking or site seeing. A great value, really nice folks, and tons of family fun!

Conveniently right off the road to Glacier National Park, about 30 min from Whitefish. Surprisingly clean bathrooms, really enjoy the cranberry ice foam soap. Nice little deck with coupla heat lamps for folks who just want to hangout. They also have a full service snack shack serving fries, onion rings, fried mushrooms. Pro tip: the pork nachos slap. Got the aerial, climbing wall, lake slide, and inflatable package. Basically a kids dream (and mine!). Aerials came with full harness and helmet. Recommend bringing some gloves if it's cold out. Course allows traversal in any direction so if there's no line you can zip line back and forth to your hearts content. There are 4 short zip lines and 1 extra long one. This is way better than a zip line only adventure. Obstacles are all doable for a 9 and 11 yo. Would have enjoyed this with the whitewater rafting package too. Super fun place.

We booked UTVs from Glacier Ridge Runners the night before and showed up excited for a full-day…read moreadventure. What we got instead was a dangerous, disappointing, and unprofessional experience that cut our trip short and raised serious safety concerns. When we arrived, the UTVs had severely scratched and clouded windshields--so bad you could barely see through them. This was supposed to be a sightseeing trip, but we literally couldn't see. It rained heavily (which we expected and were excited for), but due to the unsafe condition of the windows, our lead driver had to remove his entire windshield just to safely descend the mountain. As a result, he and his fiancée got soaked and freezing, and we were forced to end the trip early--not because of the weather, but because they were too cold and wet to continue after removing the windshield to safely descend the mountain. Meanwhile, we saw multiple other UTVs from the same company on the trail with clear, well-maintained windows, which proves they knew exactly what condition they sent us out in--and didn't care. That's not just poor customer service--it's blatant negligence. On top of that, the map they gave us was nearly worthless, and the trail we were sent on was so tame and mediocre, we could've enjoyed the same views from the comfort and safety of our own truck--with a window we could actually see out of. Which is probably a good thing, because given the state of our UTVs, we couldn't see where we were going anyway. When we brought the vehicles back and calmly asked for a refund, we were met with attitude and a dismissive, "It is what it is." They promised a call from the owner that never came. When we followed up, they refused to refund anything and acted like we were just complaining about the rain. We came to ride in the rain--that wasn't the issue. The issue was being sent out with unusable, unsafe equipment on cliffside trails. To make matters worse, we started digging into other customer reviews and found a disturbing pattern: Glacier Ridge Runners has a history of charging customers $9,000 or more for minor or questionable damage that should realistically cost only a few hundred dollars. This looks like a predatory business model, and we took detailed photos and documentation in case they attempt to pull the same stunt on us. We will be reporting this business to the Montana Office of Consumer Protection for both negligent safety practices and suspected fraudulent billing behavior. Avoid this place at all costs. Unsafe equipment, dishonest communication, shady billing tactics, and zero accountability. Rent elsewhere.

If you're going to rent from anyone, this is the place to do it…read more We booked a trip to Glacier from out of state, and the staff here was incredible, kind, patient, and super helpful. As first-timers to Montana, we had a lot of rookie questions, and they took the time to answer every one of them. They even worked with us around some last-minute changes to our park reservations. 10/10 experience!
