My girlfriends and I came to Whitefish for some winter fun and decided to snow mobile. I found this company online and decided to book after reading reviews. I'll be honest we are from the city so definitely more high maintenance then their usual clientele- but they were great! The lady at the front desk ( I didn't get her name) she was very helpful with my girlfriend , and even suggested fun things to do in the area. Our guide Vinny was a saint!!!! He was cracking jokes, always felt safe, and was very professional. He brought us to Werner peak and the views of glacier we're out of this world! Don't book your snowmobile adventures anywhere but here! Northwest Montana Adventures is absolutely the BEST in the area! We had booked a guided sunset tour through another tour company and felt totally underwhelmed by the experience so we sought out another tour. With the first tour, we were paired with people we didn't know who had very different comfort levels driving the machines, which resulted in a very slow/boring ride where we were always waiting for others to catch up. With Northwest Montana Adventures you get a PRIVATE guided tour, which allowed us to go at our own pace! Our initial call inquiring about a private tour gave insight into the team who operates this company. Every single person is excited to help you and excited about the work that they do. We completed our necessary paperwork and then were introduced to Cameron who was our guide for the half day tour. He did a great job explaining what the afternoon would entail and did a very thorough job of showing us how to properly and safely run the machines. Within 5 miles of this trip, our expectations were blown out of the park! Cameron constantly was checking on us throughout the trip and we got to cross ice covered lakes, see snow ghosts, see stunning views in all directions and more! When there was a beautiful photo opportunity, Cameron would stop and let us soak it all in for as long as we needed, taking photos for us as well. Another unique aspect of this tour is stopping at a yurt to warm up and have hot cocoa or tee and use a bathroom! We can't say enough about how great Cameron and the entire Northwest Montana Adventures team is! Experienced, reputable, professional, and safety focused. This place is top-notch! We rented two snowmobiles for an unguided tour. I feel the prices were reasonable for the half-day trip. The lady checking us in was super friendly, and the guy helping us with helmets and gear was very nice too. The scenery on our trip was everything I expected to see while visiting Montana. When we had a mishap on our adventure, we radioed in with the radio provided to us. The store was quick to reply and send someone to help us. They were very understanding and helpful. DON'T RENT A BOAT FROM THIS COMPANY! please read We come to Whitefish MT every year and have always had the best of times. My wife and I rented a pontoon boat for a FULL DAY. We failed to get a video of the inspection of the boat for any damage prior to departure- We failed to check to how much fuel was in the boat before departure- BOTH OUR MISTAKE. We called the rental office within 10 minutes from departure to inform them the boat was little less than 3/4 full of fuel. They ensured us that it was full and that the gauge was not showing that is was full is normal. We spent most the day in a cove fishing (on the far end of Dead Horse- not ripping the waves and running hard, mostly drifting. After being on the lake about 3 1/2 hours a bad storm was coming in so, we decided to head out before the storm came in and within a 1/2 mile or less to the dock the boat was out of fuel. YOU REALLY NEED TO READ YOUR RENTAL AGREEMENT CAREFULLY WITH THIS COMPANY BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO RENT. If you run out of fuel they will charge you out the ass if they have to send a boat out to tow you in- If I remember it correctly it is a $1,000.00 charge. We got lucky and a passing by boat pulled us in. The next day the owner of the company called me and told me that I would be charged for hull damage and the estimate was around $7,000 + . And his tracking of the boat said that "I was ripping the boat at top speed all day and that I must have hit a tree." The only time I was RIPPING as he called it was when we were trying to get back to the dock before the storm came in. We didn't hit a damn tree or anything else- I told him I will see him in court. Then he called me back and said "well good news " it is just a small dent and the damage will only be $500. I went the next day and looked at the boat and the damage and it was so small you would have to look really-really hard to see a small dent. I WONDER HOW MANY TIMES THEY HAVE USED THAT LITTLE DENT TO MAKE AND EXTRA $500. CROOKED! We have rented from this company several times- snowmobiling, atv, and boats. The company changed ownership and the new owners are in the business to rape you. I told the owner I will make sure that he get a nasty review and I will never again refer anyone to his business. O Well was his reply! read more

Cannot recommend this place enough! Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and helpful, you could tell they genuinely wanted you to enjoy the experience. The UTV was brand new, comfortable, and a great time to drive! We got a map and were recommended a drive up to Polebridge with a couple beautiful lake stops on the way. It was valentines day and this was an absolute gem of a V-day date...Had a midway break in a yurt and being first time riders Hatter was a thorough and great host. This is going to be long, but please read. My husband and I visited Montana for the second time. We stayed again in Whitefish and wanted to look into snowmobiling. After looking at websites and scrolling through the options, I made a few calls. I was lucky enough to get Trish from this company on the phone. Her customer service was friendly, professional and most importantly very helpful. She was the reason I chose this company. We did not know the first thing about snowmobiling, so I wanted a guided tour and along with the advice from Trish, I decided half a day would be perfect. I read many reviews, before speaking with Trish and wanted to make sure we would have our own tour guide. I had come across many complaints about different groups getting clumped together and having to wait or catch up. She assured me that Northwest Montana Adventure did not do that. We got there 12-23-20 and started at 1:00 pm. Our tour guide was Cameron. He was super nice and welcoming from the start. He went as fast or slow as we wanted to go. He stopped at many places and explained where we were and what the scenery was. He even took us to an open spot, where we could turn loose. We were never clumped with any groups, which was great. I wanted this to be a special time with just my husband. It was so much fun! I saw the most beautiful sunset as we were coming down the mountain. It was deep purple, red and orange. It was absolutely breath taking! We stopped somewhere about half way and had snacks and drinks at the Yurt.The short rest was needed and we enjoyed talking with Cameron. He answered a bunch of questions we had about the surrounding area. My husband and I had a wonderful time. It is a memory we will never be able to put a price tag on. We booked a sunset tour with another company and wanted more. The next day we booked a half day with Northwest Montana Adventures. It was very different in the best way possible! 1. It was a PRIVATE half day tour! This is important so as a group you can get what you want out of the tour without having to wait for others. We had a desire to ride fast, when able, and we were able to accomplish that on this tour. 2. We rode for 34 miles, up and over the mountains (THIS WAS INCREDIBLE). We saw views of the lakes, snow ghosts, rode on some frozen lakes and so much more. Our guide, Cameron, allowed us to stop when we wanted to for pictures or ride on. This was phenomenal in comparison to the 5 miles we rode in half the time the day before. 3. Our guide Cameron was amazing! He greeted us while we signed some paperwork, oriented us to the machines and away we went. Cameron checked on us throughout the tour and provided guidance as needed. He made us some hot cider at the yurt while we warmed up by the fire before the trip was over too! We set up a reservation with Winter Wonderland Sports/Northwest Montana Adventures for a snowmobile guided tour during our family ski trip to Whitefish. They were very friendly and helpful right off the bat. Upon arrival, they welcomed us and set us up with gear. They have everything you need for your adventure: from snow bibs to helmets and gloves. All you need to do is show up. Our guide, Cameron, was amazing! He guided us through the trails, stopped at some breathtaking spots for photos (he's also a great photographer too), and shared beautiful Montana with us. On our way back, we stopped for a quick break with some hot chocolate at their yurt. Cameron and his crew were amazing to work with! We had the privilege of doing a full day guided tour with Brandon yesterday. Doing the guided tour is definitely the way to go. For those not familiar with the terrain you are able to experience areas off of the trails that you likely wouldn't feel comfortable explore on your own. From the moment we walked in the office to set things up with Trish all the way through hitting the trails and backcountry with Brandon - absolute 10 out of 10 experience. They were recommended by The Lodge at Whitefish Lake. Amazing recommendation! Small business that cares! I did not have the right equipment and they quickly lined it to me. Gave us GPS, phone numbers and all in case we needed them. Gave me lessons twice on how to operate the snow mobile! They explained the trail system, which is over 200 miles, and provided easy to read trail maps. They got back to us quickly when we made our reservation. Great family-owned company! read more

Fantastic family owned small business! They are super flexible and offer great service. The equipment is well taken care of and clean, although returning dirty is encouraged. I loved that they offered a two-way radio for communicating with them during the day, in case of any problems (althoughy there weren't any) and they set way points into an app to keep us on track and seeing interesting sites. WOW!! We booked a group of 9 including children while we were in Whitefish for spring break and had an absolute blast. Our guide, Vinny Sarff, took care of us the entire trip - he made sure we had the right outerwear for conditions and a proper understanding of snowmobile operation. Vinny has lived in the area for 30 years and knows the back country. The trails we rode were incredible - Vinny made sure we stopped to get pictures at all the right spots. Everyone at NW Mountain Adventures was so kind from the moment we walked through the doors. They were absolutely accommodating. We had 3 kids and 2 adults. My kids are ages 9, 13, 14 and they had so much fun. Hatter was phenomenal with the kids. He pointed out and stopped at all the beautiful photo spots and educated us on the mammal trackings, took us to the Yurt for hot coco, taught us the tricks to handle the sleds and so much more!
