I've been a HOG chapter member for a couple of years now, and this dealer treats everyone as family. I recently was in an accident nearby, and the staff was on scene trying to help in any way possible. They even offered to take my bike into the shop and hold it for insurance. They also took calls from my family asking for any details. These are just the icing on the cake. The dealership has a great selection of bikes with good deals (much better than other nearby dealers) and a great parts/clothing selection. But, with any dealer, the staff makes the dealer a home. I have been to over 100 different HD stores in the USA and a few internationally as I collect shirts when traveling. I want to give a shout out to a helpful and friendly employee, I believe her name was Brook (brunette). I understand that the store makes its profits from bike sales/service and selling clothing is just part of the Harley following. I obviously can't purchase a bike from every store I visit, and often am not greeted with enthusiasm when the store employees realize I am shopping for clothing. They don't honor the online appraisal of trade ins. Was offered over 6k for my 2016 sportster online. When I brought it in after weeks of daily messages from there "online guy" the manager wouldn't even make me an offer. Said the bike had too many miles. Bike was immaculate as stated. It had 52k miles that was also stated accurately during the online appraisal. When I asked why he said that the online appraisal was thru a third party and dealership wasn't responsible ( even tho it is directly connected to the dealerships website) waste of time. Don't trust them. Even tho I'm ten minutes from Bmore Harley I Will drive an hour to Chesapeake Harley from now on. They have ALWAYS gone above and beyond for anything little thing I've gone there for. read more

These guys really left several good impressions on me over the past few years... When I first started riding and didn't know anything, my partner and I stopped in to look around, and without being pushy, or trying to sell us anything, the gentlemen that was there just explained all of the lines, the differences, and what would probably fit us each. Then he walked us around the entire campus, to include showing us the garage, and everything they had in the back. I didn't buy anything that day, but they did give us a bunch of marketing, sales, and technical docs and material that we could reference. That really stuck out to me as to how helpful and honest they were without trying to take advantage of a new rider. Fast forward to this year after I had some experience under my belt and was in the market for a new bike... I had stopped in again and met with Jeremy Lane, who was a super nice guy, but was pulling no punches in that I was interested in another used bike that was at another dealership in Harford County. Even with that information, Jeremy and the guys were eager to let me test ride the potential bikes I was looking at (really, it was just that new Low Rider S) with no commitment. After riding and talking numbers, the guys actually got me a similar, if not better, rate, and offer on the bike from them then the other dealership did on the used option. I don't know, just the entire experience was so painless and easy with Jeremy and these guys. There wasn't any craziness where they wanted to run a background check before letting me test ride an expensive bike I potentially wanted to buy (this is hyperbole, but it isn't that far off for some dealerships in the area). I was never a huge HD fan, but I really like this one new bike, and I'm glad that I stopped in and talked to them, because in the end, they made it work for all of us. Would never,ever go back!! When they sell you a new expensive bike, your on your own for repairs or service! Never answer the phone for service or assistance. Called and left several messages and never received a call back. Ended up driving to the dealer and was told the phones and answersing service was having difficulty. I went to counter to get service and were told it would be several days before I could get my bike in so I arranged a date. Went back on that date early and was told they were still too busy! I walked out and rode my bike up to another Harley Dealer that same day. All I needed was a oil service and other items to be checked. they took my bike in that same morning and 3 hours later all the work was completed ever some minor repairs covered under warranty. I'd never go back to Baltimore Harley again. I had bought a new bike there plus helmet and riding clothing. I now know where to get my service done with a dealer that really cares about Harley riders!!! read more

Might be one of the visually best Harley dealers in the area. I don't know about everyone else, but they worked out a deal I couldn't refuse. If you have good credit, they will def work with you. Bad credit, there isn't much anyone can do.. lol The service was great, and there is a great selection of bikes. Not the biggest I've seen at an HD dealer, but great to look through. Well from reading the negative reviews of this Harley Davidson dealer I thought I'd give it a chance anyways but I was wrong and the reviews are right. The parts counter salesman was a complete waste of fucking time and refused to even help with a search of a part and said he could do nothing unless I provided him with a part number. I suppose he has less experience than I do Or just a miserable fucking person which I think is more accurate. It is not just that it's the entire negative experience of this dealership that really stands out. 3 Strikes and Your Out! I live in Baltimore and need 20,000 mile service on my Sportster 1200C so, Strike 1. I went online to make a service appointment at Harley of Baltimore and clicked the box to email me with available service appointments - to date I never received a response to that service request Strike 2. Two days later I once again went online to make a service appointment at Harley of Baltimore and clicked the box to email me with available service appointments - to date I never received a response to that service request Strike 3. Because Harley of Baltimore is only a few miles from my house I decided to give them 1 more try to get a service appointment for my Harley. This time I decided to call and talk to someone assuming I would be able to finally schedule an appointment. I called on a weekday at 10:00 to make sure the service dept. was open and I could actually schedule an appointment for by bike. Not so much, I pressed the appropriate # to be connected to the service dept. and received an answering machine message with instructions to leave name/number and service required - I advised I needed 20,000 mile service on my Sportster and gave my name and phone # twice - it's been a week and I never received a call back from Harley of Baltimore. 3 Strikes and Your Out - I don't know if HOB is too busy to bother returning service request emails/calls or they don't think 20,000 mile service is not a big enough job to bother returning the service request. Either way I find it very non-professional and very disrespectful of my time and energy. I will NEVER try to take my Harley there again for service and I will never buy anything from HOB - not even a t-shirt let, alone a new Harley - I would rather drive 20 miles to have my bike services or buy Harley products to a dealership that is professional enough to respond to their CUSTORMERS. I've been to several Harley Davidson dealerships throughout the world and this one by far give H-D a bad wrap. From the purchase of a bike to the service department. They have a left a bitter taste in my mouth. The sales rep was rude and prejudice but I overlooked it. The service department is awful. Everyone at the dealership from Top to bottom need to go through customer service training. They are arrogant, not customer service oriented. Many frequent that dealership and the sales rep talked about how many bikes are sold there per week and while stating that fact, he also bashed other dealerships. I only went there on a referral. I should have listened to my mind. I had a issue with the bike right off of the showroom floor and the service department is lazy, no responsive and no care for it's customers...... Buyers beware. My husband was looking at trading his full dresser for a much lighter bike as we are not doing long rides like we use to. We saw on the Baltimore Harley website this beautiful Road King special. Great store in the Baltimore area. It has 2 different areas: bike showroom and retail. They have alot of new and some used motorcycles on display. There is a breezeway between the showroom and the retail store. The retail store has accessories and clothing to outfit you for your ride. There is plenty of parking, plus the space in front and back allows for bike parking for special events hosted at this location. read more

This was our first time here the customer service was great. Lee educated us on the various types of Harleys and the class they are grouped in. He started from beginners to the infamous HOG. The store was clean and well organized they pay attention to the customer and make sure someone is taking good care of you while waiting. The store temperature is perfect conducive for sleeping..lol. They also have a clothing store and a waiting area with vending machines. Many of the Harley-Davidson Centers offer motorcycle classes. I recently took the new rider class. My classroom instructor was Steve and on the course Chuck joined Steve. I had NEVER ridden a motorcycle before in my life and they were able to make me feel comfortable and I successfully completed the class. They are very knowledgeable and safety was their number one priority, as well as giving us as many tips as they could to keep us safe on the road for when we're on our own. I have nothing but great things to say about Steve and Chuck and I couldn't recommend this class more! If you're on the fence, do it! read more

I made a service appointment in June 2020 the service was set for July 9th 2020 for two tires brakes and oil filter and fluid change. It took two weeks without any reply from the store or shop I call a 38 times plus 4 e-mails without any response back. After the first week I had to go over only to find out that one tire wouldn't seal right that they order another one they didn't call at all. I was told that the tire would be in and the bike would be finish by end Friday, Friday came and went again I called left messages and e-mail and no response from them. So I went over again to be told that the tire was on back order and they didn't know when it would come in but how ever they called Harley of Annapolis that they had one so I finally got my bike back July 24th. The work that was done was good the bike perform like new how ever the response back from them really suck. Maybe they think they are to big that they don't need to worry about the small details of taking carry of there customer the people that made them who they are. read more

This review specifically covers the basic riders course. Having never ridden a motorcycle, I decided to sign up for their $300 Basic Rider course, even though this same course is available elsewhere for half as much, due to scheduling difficulties. The online signup is a little disjointed, and post signup is even more so. I received an email after signing up (and paying up front) that I now had to complete a three hour online course and bring my certificate with me on the first day of class. Not bringing the certificate would mean immediate dismissal from the course and forfeiture of the $300 payment. It also said that I now had to stop by the dealership before my class date to pick up the required study materials and course book (which they said I should also read before the class started). What exactly is the class supposed to cover if I'm doing everything myself before the first day? Speaking of which, on the first day of classroom, one of the first orders of business was the instructor completely changing the times of the classes for the four day course, with different start and end times. While this did not affect anyone in the class, I can see how this might cause an issue for people with tight schedules. I make my living as a professional flight instructor, and this kind of last minute schedule change is extremely unprofessional. The two days of classroom instruction for this four day course are completely worthless. While the instructor was extremely nice, she was clearly out of her comfort zone having to speak in front of a group in a classroom environment. The materials covered were straight out of the course book and online class. The two days of classroom were nothing more than a Harley Davidson sales pitch. The first day consisted of two hours of touring the dealership and meeting sales people in the showroom and apparel store who were all trying to sell us on merchandise before we even had our licenses. The information put out in the class could sometimes even be dangerous. My two favorite moments- Being told that the law for passing is to only pass one vehicle at a time, but we should always pass as many vehicles as possible anyway. And the other was being given the name and location of a shop in Baltimore that would sell illegal helmets with fake DOT stickers if we didn't want to wear "real" helmets. The second day of class was more of the same- running through the exercises in the book with no explanation of why we were doing them. It's all fine and dandy to have us test our reaction times, but not if you don't explain the reason for us doing it. We also had a "review" of the state written test before we took it, with the review consisting of the instructor reading the 25 question test aloud with the answers right before we took the test. The third and fourth days were the actual riding days and I have to admit, they completely turned it around. The riding instruction was absolutely what people need to ride effectively and safely. Completely professional and well managed. The instructors are clearly experienced riders and know how to impart their years of riding to inexperienced riders. They worked with people who didn't pick things up as quickly as the others, they could tell when everyone was getting an exercise and moved on to the next one. Again, from my perspective as an instructor, these folks know what they are doing. At the end of the second day, those of us who were left in the course took the state riding exam and everyone passed on the first try. That was not by accident. That is purely the result of superior hands-on instruction. Conclusions- If you want to learn to ride and get your motorcycle endorsement, this is an option for doing that but there are cheaper and more professional options available. I feel safe to ride and comfortable on a bike, which is probably not something you can get from (honestly speaking) a two day course most places. However, while the riding instruction is top notch, I cannot overlook the absolute sh*t show that was the classroom portion. I would not recommend this place to anyone, but I wouldn't talk someone out of going either. read more

I started my search for a used Harley on the web site I requested information on a particular bike by filling out the request form. No response! I then used the chat feature with Alexi who said she would have someone contact me ASAP. No response ! I then drove to the location walked in was not greeted. located the bike I wanted to see with a sign that said not to sit on it. I stood in place next to the bike for 10 minutes with people walking around me and no one even said hi or asked if I needed help. I then walked around for another 10 minutes still no one spoke to me. I saw another person walk in and this salesman bolted right to him from the back area. Maybe he was looking at the right bike or I just didn't look like I belonged on a Harley. Then right before I reached the door to leave someone asked me how I was doing today. I said fine and left. I took my riders course here. I thought they had better service then this. Took the ultra limited for tire change(had my own tire),guy at counter tells me $150,another guy hears it and states $165,leave it there. get a call next day, mech. said i need brakes F/R. i say you just put new rear on end of last season(1100 miles) says he will ask mech. Road trip to Fl, OH & Pa so told them to call asap when done,NO call other then telling me brakes needed.Ask guy at desk why the mech. said i needed R brakes and he didn't replace them, he said " The mech. didn't know how thick they were suppose to be,he equated them to car brakes, i ask if hes a car or bike mech. deer in headlights look.NEVER,NEVER Again, i blame myself due to being Warned but gave them a shot,now I'll shoot myself if ever go back read more

Thank You "Downtown" Mark Brown!! I had Visited Old Glory HD in search of a new Harley Davidson and in the process became very unhappy with the way I was treated at this other so called flagship dealer. Update: Well the truth became apparent AFTER THE SALE that HD of Baltimore is no different than any other HD dealership other than their ability to sell a bike. First ride on the new bike and someone backs over my fender. Fortunately the bike was not tipped over so the fender was the only casualty however upon inspecting the bike further it became very clear why this was a great deal. The bike had been tipped over before and a sharpie was used to hide the scrape along the bottom side of the left saddlebag. Then I am provided an estimate by my insurance of almost $1,000.00 to replace that tiny little front fender. Mark says "Use your MVP membership to save money" Money grubbing parts guy actually said that the parts had to be paid for to the full extent of the insurance quote otherwise .... wait for it .... The dealer could be charged with defrauding the insurance company! Add $120.00 back to the insurance quote and your fender will be here in 30 working days (for us with a modicum of intelligence that means 6 weeks) so I let fleece boy have his cash and the fender gets ordered. Or does it? 7 weeks later a call to HD of Baltimore finds that money grubber never ordered the fender. We are now 6 weeks out from Daytona so I told grubbers boss to order it right away. Well here we are 7 weeks from that conversation and no fender, no response from Harley Davidson. Oh did I mention to never use their service department as well? Needing something to work on to keep my head from exploding I decided that the screaming eagle exhaust that was installed on the bike by HD of baltimore as part of a stage 1 upgrade (allegedly) sounded anemic at best so I decided to install a new Rinehart racing slip on. Well when removing the 2 bolts that hold the pipe to the sub frame the slip on they installed slipped right off. Why? Because the idiots that installed the screaming eagle muffler installed it without a gasket! What else did they screw up? I am not going to take the chance to find out. Instead I will spend no more money in their dealership and in fact Harley Davidson can F**K right off as well. 1 K service will be done at another dealership and then this bike will be sold and a new Indian will take its place. I am DONE with Harley Davidson and I am done dealing with A$$ holes! There is a reason HD sales were down 27% last year. Their products are over priced, their business model is garbage, their service training clearly sucks and their parts department employees were likely flipping burgers before the pandemic shut down McD's for a time. I even tried to buy American made clothing at their flagship store in Daytona. Every stitch of clothing was ridiculously over priced nd made in CHINA! I have owned many motorcycles over the course of 20 years and been a mechanic for roughly the same amount of time. I'm a fan! Last year I'd had them perform some work on my bike. Less than a year and 1,000 miles later the part replaced failed and caused extensive (and since it's a Harley, expensive) damage to the bike. I called to schedule an appointment and referenced the prior work completed. I dropped off the bike few days later and showed them the damage. I called a few days later to get an assessment and they informed me that because they had replaced the part that failed not long prior they would repair without cost. Upon picking up the bike and seeing all the work that was done, they were extremely thorough replacing a lot of expensive bits. They covered the cost and didn't take any shortcuts. While it seems an obvious right thing to do, if we're honest, most businesses would not be so accommodating and gracious. That bit of goodwill has made me a customer for life. this place should not even get a star you have to do a 3 hour online course which i never received until 2 days before which was a mistake on their end!!!! also i agree the course is just for experienced riders who have been riding for a while and finally want a license. there was really no 1 on 1 training which a new rider really needs. also way to expensive thank god i only spent a 100 because of a special they had or i would be calling my lawyer to sue for a refund. don't take if you are a new rider even if you pass you will not be prepared to be on the road and might end up a statistic the instructor pretty much told me they only get you through the test then on your own so why so much? i should have spent my time doing anything else would have been more productive. i regret even participating in this bs!!!!! one last note if this class is so good why was mine empty!!! this class is for experienced riders only!!!!! don't bother if you are a new rider!!!! read more
