The customer service. Good coffee. Cool building. I have only ever been in the drive-through so far, but so far every time I go by, the staff is very friendly and greet you with a smile. The coffee comes out quickly and tastes good. In Friday mornings, they also offer free black coffee. I will continue going here and exploring more of their menu. read more

Love a new location!!! I've grown to really love Hardy. The drive thru at this location is convenient. The menu selection is great. They have all the classic coffees, teas, drinks, and snacks. I had gone here on a Sunday since m other coffee idea for the weekend was closed! I was so happy to see the variety of coffee and non coffee options for those who need a caffeine fix without bitter taste. I appreciated that this was a drive through too!! I would give this 12 stars if I could. I found out I have a gluten intolerance and while healing my body my doctor also wants me dairy free for the month. So basically everything changed I used to get a caramelicious from scooters but I can't have that anymore. Telling someone your dietary restrictions while in the drive though is stressful but the person on the other end was SO HELPFUL, kind, and accommodating. I got their seasonal drink the brown sugar rosemary latte (hot) and a gluten free and vegan cranberry orange muffin. They're both phenomenal and warmed my poor attitude around these recent life changes. I also think this muffin is one I'd go for even if I wasn't gluten free. read more

We absolutely adore this place. We have created a tradition to go every Friday morning after we found this place when looking at houses in February 2022. That day happened to be a Friday and they let us know they give a Free brewed coffee, any size, and creamer/sugar complementary. The staff is always so sweet and helpful when we get up to order as it's usually first thing in the AM and we can't seem to make decisions that early. I personally would recommend the darker roasts, the lighter roasts have more of a bite and as much as I love my coffee black I can't do it. This location is only a drive thru. Hardy Coffee is a trusted name across Omaha. Whether you are a regular at one of their three sit down, brick and mortar locations, or you've sampled their local beans at another shop across NE, or you subscribe to their monthly coffee delivery service, you've likely encountered them. Ordered a small cappuccino a few days ago. I got an unflavored latte. Not the same thing. In the baristas defense she is not alone. Since then it has happened 2 other times at 2 competitors establishments. Management needs to train their employees to properly make the drinks on the menu. Great drive-thru only coffee shop in Omaha. On recent road-trip to Denver, we were hankering for decent coffee and based on solid reviews, we pulled off highway to check it out,. Surprised it was only drive thru, but service was prompt, coffee was awesome and the menu even featured a vegan breakfast burrito! The (non-vegan) cinnamon roll was SOOO delicious! This is some mighty good coffee, at prices that I find reasonable, and with friendly service, but for a drive-thru only location, it's wild to me that the drive thru itself sucks so hard. I don't know if they didn't bother to plan or if the person they hired to plan was bad at their job but I, in a regular and not modified in any way sedan, had to get out of my car and stand up in order to pay and get our drinks because the window started at the roof of my car. I guess it's perfect if you're in a lifted truck but anything lower than that and it's no longer a drive thru but a walk-up. I'll only be going to other locations in the future. read more

Specialties

For us, specialty coffee isn't so much about indulgence, but ritual. Having places and moments and things that add value and create rhythm. We know that drinking a cup of good coffee, in itself, is a small act, but are convinced more than ever that simple doesn't mean insignificant. That when you're feeling ragged and disconnected, the ritual of good coffee creates intentionality and a moment to pause in an otherwise hectic day. It turns out that excellent drinks and baked goods make for a great excuse to get together and build something or simply unplug. So, we make every menu item intentionally--to fuel the difference-makers of our city and to partner with wholesale accounts across the region to do the same for the communities they know and love.

History

Established in 2010.

Autumn and Luke Pruitt moved back to their hometown of Omaha, NE and started a small bakery in 2010. In those early years, they subleased a kitchen and tiny storefront from Aromas Coffeehouse on the corner of 11th and Jones in The Old Market. A year and a half later, they purchased the coffee shop and have since opened two additional brick and mortar locations and a drive-thru. In 2015, they began roasting their own coffee under the brand "Hardy Coffee Co." and later brought every piece (bakery, coffee shops, roasting lab) and location (downtown, Benson, North Omaha, Chalco Hills) of the business under that unified name.

Meet the Business Owner: Autumn P.

In addition to their work in the business, Autumn and Luke live in their perpetual fixer-upper while parenting a couple of great kids, Lawson and Sawyer. They enjoy making music, spending time outside, and are all actively working to perfect their latte art and mopping techniques in this community they love.

Last night was the one time things felt a little off -- the margarita came across watered down, and our waitress seemed to be rushing us through the meal. But that's been the exception, not the rule. The market price for half a crab is $70, so expectations are naturally high. The manager replaced it, which I appreciated, but HAHAHA they literally submerged it in boiling crab water just to make it look moist. I love quality. I love aesthetically pleasing food. I can easily pay over $500 for great food because I value the experience. This wasn't even about the price. It's about the standard. Thinking about it now just makes me laugh. Dry aged crab leg on the menu. HAHAHA
