WOW, what a find! Service was excellent and the pastry's were amazing! This place will become a frequent destination for amazing food.

This small but mighty bakery is tucked away in a strip mall that may make it hard to find. My gps led me there, but I had to tour parking lots to find it. Knowing it's near Brother Sebastian's helps. There was a table set up right by the door that reminded me of a kid's book called America's White Table by Raven. It's a symbol for and remembrance to service members fallen, missing, or held captive in the line of duty. It made me stop and think for a minute. The server behind the counter was very helpful, describing the various goodies. It was hard to choose. I ended up with a chocolate chip cookie, a cappuccino chocolate candy cup, a loaf of whole wheat sourdough bread and one of their specialty items which I can't name. It's a small bowl-shaped croissant. It was delicious. Tomorrow, I will be making toast for breakfast to sample the bread. read more

This is seriously a hidden gem in Omaha! Tucked away, this is going to be a go to, especially when serving friends and family with sensitive stomachs. Love does not explain my feelings for this bakery. I had heard a lot about this Omaha staple and wow the positive reviews are all true. The Kouign Amann with layers of butter and caramelized sugar was to die for. Decadent and worth every last calorie. The Liège Waffles were so good. The caramelized sugar ( do you see a trend here) is beyond good. If you have a chocolate fix try the Pain au Chocolat or one of their very hard to get chocolate cupcakes! I never enjoy bakery items so I never order them. They always taste a bit dry and flavorless to me. That was until I met Reis' Bakery! Wow! These pastries are unique in so many ways. I was greeted by the fragrant buttery scent when I walked into the bakery and I can't resist to choose a few from their store. I can't remember exactly the names but Kouign Amann is one of my fav. Their Pain au Chocolat is lovely and they have this new strawberry cream eclairs that is so good. Their croissant is a bit softer on the outside (I prefer crusty-er outer layer) and less buttery that what I would like it to be, but the layers are so defined so it's great too! I heard about this little international bakery from a local radio station and decided to swing by to check out their selection of pastries. I tried the Mont Blanc pastry in the shop-if you're a chocolate lover, you need to try this! I snagged the apple croissant and chocolate caramel pull apart. I LOVED every pastry I tried and will be a frequent customer at this place moving forward. Do yourself a favor and try one of everything on your first visit. Their croissants are what croissant's should be, soft, buttery and light. The sugar crusted bun is AMAZING!!! Not sure the official name. The cronut - best rendition I've tried! GLUTEN FREE people - they use French flour so its a lot easier on the body! I ended up here becuase of the yelp description and was going to meet a friend for coffee. What I did not know was that there is actually no indoor seating..Just 1 table pushed off to the end of the display case so not very comfortable to sit at..there were also a couple of tables that sat outside, but it was not a great day for those as an option..so I had to take things to go. Although the selection is limited to only a few different items, I did purchase the Almond Croissant, and a berry pastry. All items are made with the same dough so all similar in texture and taste. Wonderful new European bakery in Omaha! They have pastries from lots of different countries, so you can get a good variety of things. They have German pastries, French pastries, French bread, sourdough, provossata, Kouign Amann, and more. All made with French flour, and they have a military discount. Absolutely delicious cruffin (combination of a cinnamon sugar croissant in the shape of a muffin) and fun location! Will definitely be back!

Did we take photos before we started eating? Not a chance. Did the baguette take me back to my many snacks on a tour bus as I travelled through France from Caen to Rouen to Paris to Versailles and back to Paris? With every bite. And for $3 it is way cheaper than repeating that trip. I have never been so excited that the line was miles long across the street. My kid and I have a new breakfast stop. We also got a berry pastry that was not overly sweet and the fruit provided the perfect amount of sweetness. And a salted caramel sticky bun that the teen says was amazing. And a hazelnut sticky bun that I say is amazing. We walked out spending $15 but like I said before that is way cheaper than booking a trip to France. I want to tell everyone to check this place out because I want them to be successful. But I also want to keep it a secret so they don't sell out before I can get there. Yum. I want to go back here. I came about an hour before closing and got a croissant. It was pretty good, but definitely a bit stale. It clearly needed to be consumed more fresh than I had. I feel bad having to give Reis 3 stars because I feel like if I had eaten there another time, I would have enjoyed it more. However, they did serve me this food and I review every place I go. My mother and I dropped by to sample the goodies at Reís Bakery. Granted, we arrived an hour before closing time but there were still some delicious options. Mom got a Cinnamon Sugar Cruffin and I got a Almond Croissant. The great thing about their baked goods is that the ones we enjoyed were not overloaded with sugar, but still had a delicious buttery flavor and the the dough we super flaky and light. They were also offering samples of their Austrian Apple Strudel which they plan on adding to the menu. In my opinion, they can't offer it soon enough! It was so good, with the right combos cinnamon and sugar flavor and the crust was incredible! I no5iced the Key Lime and Chocolate Mini Tarts and they looked like delicious little works of art.
