I never enjoy bakery items so I never order them. They always taste a bit dry and flavorless to me. That was until I met Reis' Bakery! Wow! These pastries are unique in so many ways. The pastries are a bit crispy on the outside, moist and shall I say "chewy" on the inside. Such deliciousness! These folks are the real deal baking FRENCH treats in a great way!

I was greeted by the fragrant buttery scent when I walked into the bakery and I can't resist to choose a few from their store. I can't remember exactly the names but Kouign Amann is one of my fav. Their Pain au Chocolat is lovely and they have this new strawberry cream eclairs that is so good. Their croissant is a bit softer on the outside (I prefer crusty-er outer layer) and less buttery that what I would like it to be, but the layers are so defined so it's great too! I would definitely revisit in future to they their other pastries and breads. Au revoir!

On the hunt for good, authentic French pastries. I. A world where everyone thinks and tried to make pastries. Reis' Bakery has the old world charm of authentic, delicate, flavorful pastries. I purchased a few to try and a bite of each had me wanting to eat them all.... Plus the service was just as spot on as the delicious pastries. Can't wait to try the baguette later. Stop in and try a few, you won't be disappointed!

I heard about this little international bakery from a local radio station and decided to swing by to check out their selection of pastries. I tried the Mont Blanc pastry in the shop-if you're a chocolate lover, you need to try this! I snagged the apple croissant and chocolate caramel pull apart. I LOVED every pastry I tried and will be a frequent customer at this place moving forward. I would say be sure to check their hours as they are limited and go earlier in the day so you have more of a selection to choose from.

Do yourself a favor and try one of everything on your first visit. Their croissants are what croissant's should be, soft, buttery and light. The sugar crusted bun is AMAZING!!! Not sure the official name. The cronut - best rendition I've tried! GLUTEN FREE people - they use French flour so its a lot easier on the body! My mom has a gluten sensitivity but can eat these pastries without an issue!!

I have taken both my mom and my mother-in-law to Reis' Bakery on separate occasions when they were visiting, and each time we have loaded up on delightful treats and absolutely loved all of them! This is my new go to spot for anyone visiting Omaha, because they simply need to have these pastries in their lives! The people I've interacted with each time have been helpful, kind and knowledgeable about everything offered. Get yourself to Reis' Bakery if you haven't yet!

Wonderful new European bakery in Omaha! They have pastries from lots of different countries, so you can get a good variety of things. They have German pastries, French pastries, French bread, sourdough, provossata, Kouign Amann, and more. All made with French flour, and they have a military discount. Flaky and buttery are two terms I love my pastries to have and they do here!

Reis' Bakery is one of my go to French bakeries in Omaha. It would fit in with many of the finest pâtisseries in Paris. We have not been disappointed on any of our visits. A gem in the Omaha area.

I had seen multiple posts in various groups about Reis' Bakery and when I realized how close it is to my apartment, I knew I had to go visit! The staff was SO kind and friendly and answered any questions I had about what was available. I ended up getting practically one of everything & can safely say everything I had was BEYOND delicious. I cannot wait to go back again and see what else they offer in the future!

The location on 204th Street in Gretna is clean, open, inviting ... but noisy. It's one of those warehouse-type settings where you really have to work at having a private conversation. Seating is expecially comfortable in the big chairs, but then you have to schootch them close together and lean in so you can hear each other, which is unfortunate. Granted, tables are set far apart, but this should be in addition to. Coffee was delicious, but the beignet bites were just so-so. Granted, one should not expect New Orleans beignets outside of New Orleans, but these little donut puffs had only a light dusting of powdered sugar (which I actually was thankful for because I wore black pants!), and there was a not-overly-pleasant surprise inside with an indistinguishable creamy substance that was sort of like the inside of a brown sugar cinnamon poptart, only less so. I hadn't been expecting that. The yogurt parfait was substantial and delicious. (The staff was friendly and helpful when making selections, but it didn't occur to me to ask about fillings.) I might visit again, but maybe at one of the other locations, if acoustics were more promising.

Just plain and simple (and good!) donuts. We have been to Pettit's a lot over the years obviously, but I never thought to review them until now, on our last visit. The interior is simple, just like classic bakeries from my childhood. You can smell the baking donuts and treats and it brings you right back to those memories. Katie was the attendant behind the glass case on our last visit and she was super nice and took care of us even though we didn't know exactly what we wanted when we came in. It was close to closing time when we decided to pop in, so I did have some concerns about freshness. But that was no issue! They were all still super fresh and delicious. We got about 8 donuts and rolls and each and every one was fabulous. Their classic cake donuts are my favorite, with the white, chocolate, or maple frosting. They remind me of the little donuts you'd get after church with your parents, when they serve coffee and donuts in the parish center - LOL! The filled/long John donuts are my husband's favorite, and they are also super tasty. The white fluff that Pettit's uses in those is heavenly. Super sweet but not cloying so much that you couldn't finish one. Next time you're on the hunt for something sweet and want a good quality, affordable option that may give you a bit of nostalgia, definitely hit up Pettit's Pastry!

There are three flavors of smoothies to choose from: mango, wild berry, and strawberry. The Crescent Brûlée is a blend of caramel and vanilla, topped with whipped cream and a burnt sugar top. Their menu is pretty extensive, in my opinion: coffee, tea, matcha, seasonal lattes, energy drinks, as well as some pastries and breakfast sandwiches. I also appreciated how easy it was to read their menu. I feel like a lot of the time in coffee shops, their menus are all over the place and you have to ask a lot of questions. This menu was nicely written. The shop has a very welcoming vibe, with different plants and displays. They also sell a few different things, such as clothes, sage, stickers, and different stones. Overall, I'd definitely recommend this coffee shop, and I will definitely be back.
