BUYER BEWARE before purchasing online from this horrible business! I would give them 0 or negative stars if I could. We returned 2 Tectus hinges that we ordered from them online because it wasn't the right color, and they only refunded half the order claiming that the screws were missing. If anything was missing, it was from their warehouse because we shipped it back exactly how we received it. I also find it completely asinine that there was absolutely no explanation from them until we reached out to them ourselves to ask about why we only received a partial refund of half the amount. Also, the lady that we spoke to was one of the rudest customer service reps I've ever spoken to in my life. Super rude and super hostile. We asked her if she could double check for the screws, and all she responded with was an emphatic "NO!" Absolutely a nightmare of an experience with this terrible place. read more

I don't often write reviews, but the customer service I received from HardwareSource deserves recognition. I had several questions while trying to find replacement hinges for a medicine chest, and Andrew was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and responsive throughout the entire process. He answered every question thoroughly and helped me explore every available option. Unfortunately, it turned out there wasn't a hinge that matched my cabinet's existing screw-hole pattern. Honestly I can't find it anywhere so don't know if it exists. Rather than making me go through the hassle of returning the hardware, HardwareSource proactively refunded both orders and told me to keep, donate, or dispose of the hinges as I wished. They explained it would save me time, eliminate return shipping costs, and even reduce unnecessary shipping waste. It's rare to find a company that puts customer satisfaction ahead of making a sale, and it's even rarer to find an employee like Andrew who genuinely cares about helping customers. Although the hinges didn't end up working for my project, I'll absolutely shop with HardwareSource again because I know they'll stand behind their customers. If you're looking for a company with outstanding customer service, I highly recommend them. read more

Service is fast, responsive, and helpful. I ordered 1/4 in offset hinges for a cabinet that I wanted to fix. (Door would start to creep open) They came in 2 days! From San Diego to the midwest. When I went to install them, I saw they would not work. I had ordered them wrong. I took a hinge pic of what I ordered next to what I needed. Emailed it to them and got an answer within a hour or two. I then ordered the ones they sent me a link to. Again, they came in a couple days, and they are the correct ones! I found the place online, after seeing that my local hardware stores didn't carry what I needed. read more

I was struggling locally to find the right replacement for a broken hinge and stumbled upon Hardware Source online. Fantastic service and a perfect match! Easy online inquiry--upload 3 pics (door closed, door open, and close up of hinge) and add any description/comments. I added the brand name and number stamped on the hinge body. Received the reply with recommended replacement the next business day. Ordered and received 3 days later. Perfect fit and we're good to go! Very impressive. read more

I just ordered my hinges - I was very impressed with their service. I chatted with a rep through their chatbox on website and through pictures he could identify the hinge I needed. There are many types of hinges, so it was extremely valuable to have someone tell me what would hinge would solve my problem. Fingers crossed that it works. read more

They had the hard-to-find parts I needed at a great price. The order was shipped Priority Mail, I had them in my hands by the weekend, ready for my project. (They are in San Diego, I am on Martha's Vineyard -- talk about coast to coast!) When one of the items needed replacing, I emailed them, and got a super quick response (during the COVID-19 pandemic, no less), and are sending me the replacement part. I will definitely be returning to their website when I need more hardware. read more

One of the hinges for my kitchen cabinets broke apart. I searched everywhere for weeks and was unable to find a right replacement. I somehow came cross HardwareSource online. Snapped a few pictures and sent request in. Within an hour, Dominick replied. After a few email exchanges, he sent me the link for the part number that I needed which is perfect. I'm pleased that my cabinet is back to functioning. Thank you so much Dominick for your help! Definitely recommend Hardware Source if you are searching for hinges products. read more

I had some old euro-style hinges on a set of outdoor BBQ doors that were rusting and with few distinguishing marks. I called Hardware Source and they put me in contact with Dominick. I described my hinges and then sent him a couple of photos. In no time he got back to me with a recommendation for current hinges and I made the order. Two days later, they were in my hands and they fit like a glove. Great service and rapid delivery....and better prices than you'll find anywhere else. read more

I recently bought a gorgeous all-wood office unit: all-in-one desk and return, wall of bookshelves, several filing drawers, and huge hutch. The catch? Broken keyboard drawer hinges left a very visible part of the desk module looking all wonky and not office-ready, function-wise. Local stores couldn't help. They couldn't even tell me what to call the type of hinge I needed or where to look. Measured the broken hinge and about five minutes of looking online later and, V-I-C-T-O-R-Y! They even offered the hinge in multiple finishes - one of which was a perfect match. Ordered Wednesday, was installing on Friday, even shipped (standard) from halfway across the country. Perfect! If you need a hard-to-find hinge, this is the place to look! read more

Fantastic customer service and selection availability. We were in need of Kitchen cabinet latch & hinges, as ours broke. Home Depot didn't have the same brand or model #. After a search online for our specific brand, Hardware Source came up with the items we needed. We received the items in the stated time frame. Dominic at Hardware Source was very helpful and we will definitely order from this amazing business again. read more

Found this company on the Internet when I was trying to locate the correct replacement parts for broken Blum cabinet hinges. Their website made it very clear which exact replacement part to order; they saved me big bucks compared to what Lowe's was selling as replacement parts. And, super quick shipping and communication. THANK YOU! read more

Old-fashioned service. Under-promise and over-deliver. We had some old cabinets the we refinished and the hinges were in terrible shape. I thought it was a great time to upgrade the hinges to hidden, and Dominick asked all the right questions and patiently answered my questions. Ultimately, we decided to stay with the old-style hinges and the purchase was easy. The website is easy and the pricing good. Terrific experience. read more

The hinges on my kitchen cabinets are cracking and the cabinet doors are not secure. I looked everywhere for replacement of these broken hinges and had no luck. I found Hardware Source online and after sending in photos of the broken hinges and dimensions of my cabinets, Dominick was able to recommend replacement hinges. I ordered a few to try and they worked perfectly!! I just need to order a few more. Thank you Dominick and Hardware Source! read more

Terrible customer Service! Don't overorder, they will not return.

I found Hardware Source on the internet. I have an oak wall unit that a friend built for me quite a while ago. One of the Euro hinges broke. These hidden hinges are genius, but there are many variations of them, and I would prefer to use replacement hinges that fit, without having to do any drilling or cutting. I submitted 3 photos to Hardware Source, and got a prompt response from Dom. I sent Dom 4 different measurements of the hinges/ doors (these things are complicated!). He promptly sent me the ordering info for replacement hinges. They fit perfectly. I ordered an extra pair. They adjust easily - much better than the old hinges. Problem solved. read more

Service was exactly as needed. I had sent pics of an armoire that needed a new hinge. After a simple call was able to narrow down to a solid choice. I was allowed to return if not needed (I did not). Item was shipped within 1-2 days. Item quality was very price appropriate (nice). The service was exceptional. Very happy...... read more

Ordered hinges and chose an express shipping option. Once we got notification of their delivery date, it was not 2 days like we paid for. I called to see about getting the delivery right or recovering the extra money we paid. The customer service people were not helpful and basically said it was my problem; no refund. Watch the fine print. Even better, never use these people. They are not customer friendly. read more

Although Hardware Source is in CA and I live in CT, my order for cabinet door hinges arrived within two days via USPS. Everything came as expected with no missing or broken pieces. Their website was extremely helpful in guiding me to the correct set of hinges I needed (there are MANY different types!). Also, their prices were very reasonable. I would definitely order from here again. read more

stay away from these unprofessional staff that says they work but they do not . tried to call no answer then went to leave a message like the prompt says and full. Then when i finally get through after a 10min wait they did not want to help me because I do not know how to take pics and send them i am old and do not have much knowledge on the computer. no help only if i could send info and pics. no one to speak to that had any knowledge of their own hardware. stinks bad staff do not help the elderly just hurtful, no respect for the older people that helped build their lives should fire them read more

These guys helped guide me on my quest for a very unusual hinge for a TV hutch. While they didn't have it in stock, they pointed me in the right direction. I found them on the internet and also found thier website to be very easy to use. read more

Although everyone I spoke with on the phone was extremely nice, the quality control of the products at Hardwaresource.com is abysmal and they don't assume accountability for selling faulty products. I ordered 8 parliament window hinges with supposedly removable ball pins. When they arrived, even though their package said "Made in Taiwan", they looked nice enough and they they seemed heavy enough to be of good quality, so I gave 6 of them to my carpenters to install. When I came back, I found that the pins were impossible to remove. I then tried one of the un-installed hinges, and still could not get the pin out in any normal manner. Finally, using pliers, I tried to pull out the pin, but it was so stuck that I couldn't tell which end was the pin and which end was just the ball, and I ended up only being able to pull off the ball end. Finally, I took a hammer and small nail to it to try to push the pin out from that end. Even with a hammer it was nearly impossible to push out. After my concerted effort, as well as that of 2 very trained carpenters, I decided to buy better quality hinges from Crown City Hardware. At twice the price, they are worth it for the sake of not damaging my new jamb and new window sashes. I though that HardwareSource would allow me to return their faulty hinges. However, HardwareSource was completely unwilling to accept responsibility for the faulty hinges, even though they said that they might have been a bad lot, and chose to blame me for the fact that the pin was near-impossible to remove, claiming that it was due to the way they were installed (even though the same level of difficulty applies to the remaining hinges that had never been installed). What a waste of time and money. I have never had such a bad experience with any online retailer; even if a package from another retailer is opened, if it is a faulty product, other retailers assume responsibility for that product. Beware when you order from HardwareSource.com read more

I needed a double-action swinging door hinge for a glass-paned dining room door (my wife wanted it to swing open/closed from either direction. How is this for bad customer service!! Anyone reading this post I would say buyer beware. If you have an issue with your order don't rely on their customer service to take care of it. I ordered hardware parts from this company online. When the order did not arrive I tracked it and found it was shipped to an address which is nowhere close to my address. I called to inquire and was told that I they would reship the order. Later that day a person called to tell me that I had missed entering a number for my address so they just shipped it to the incorrect address and they would not pay for the product to be reshipped. I asked why they would ship to an incorrect address without contacting me. (On line they ask for both email address and phone number) Had they done this there would not have been a problem. At this time both the person I was talking to and her supervisor started with an attitude and insisted that it was my fault for missing a number on my address. read more

I ordered 5/8 inch hinges from this company. This company is one of the few that still have this size of hinges still available for purchase. They called me to tell me that the color hinge that I wanted was on back order. They suggested if I would prefer another color. Told them that it did not matter since I was going to spray paint the hinges anyways to black color. They suggested a oil rubbed bronze. They did not charge my card until they called me to ok the purchase. I ok'ed the oil rubbed bronze and it arrived two days later. It looked almost black so I did not need to spray paint them at all. I love the fact that they did not charge my account unless I was happy with what they would send me. I love the fact that they called me with questions and I love the fact that they still sell 5/8 of an inch, hard to find hinges. Great company! very professional. I would order anytime from them. read more
