I figured I'd go to the big box store (not Home Depot as I'm boycotting) but got diverted to Ace because of flooding. Checked them out and figured I'd do a price check by heading to the other place. Lo and behold, Ace was comparable in price and had a better selection. This wasn't the first time I went to Ace either. They beat the price for a garbage disposal by $50 just a week previous. This location is well stocked and has friendly help. They also have a bbq supply place attached that has some cool stuff. I've even bought my stocking stuffers here in the past. I highly, highly recommend this location. Parking is available in the back for those who are afraid of trying to find a spot. Great option for your hardware needs.

I was looking in bins, just because. They had fasteners, I hadn't seen before, but now I know they exist when I need that certain something in a particularly hard project. The open stock round bins brought a smile on my face as I remembered those bins as a kid going with my grandfather to the hardware store. Alas it was a trip down memory lane, but a modern day open stock hardware island.

He went to confirm the answer with the owner and was immediately talked down to. After hearing this, I approached the owner directly to ask the same question myself and unfortunately received the same condescending attitude. It's also worth noting that there are no prices listed on items, which makes shopping unnecessarily frustrating, and if you need to return anything--unused or opened--good luck. It's disappointing to see workers treated this way, and it explains why there seems to be constant staff turnover. Customer service starts with how employees are respected, and sadly, that's lacking here. Despite the longer commute, I'll be taking my business to the other hardware store on the island moving forward.

Her years of experience and level of expertise are top notch. Chris is very patient, helpful, friendly and kind. My husband and I feel really lucky to have found Chris. We always have a ton of questions and she always is so patient . Our kitchen turned out beautiful and everyone loves it and compliments us on it. Items to get the repair, construction, or demolition done. Most of the tools are made in Asia but for the quality and durability of the tools, it's still cheaper than the big boys. Overall five stars. If you know specifically what you want, this is the place. There is a loyalty program. IDK what it does but they got one so might as well sign up.

I ordered 3 new sliding doors and they sold me new construction sizes which are smaller then retrofit. I didn't even know retrofit was an option. I sent Bernie the measurements and confirmed with him these doors would work as replacements. He confirmed but when they arrived they were 2 inches smaller on each side. Additional labor was required which they initially said they would cover. About $750 with labor and additional materials but they ignore phone calls and emails. Last time I will do business with Dixieline. They are worse than dealing with a big box store. The worst part is the lack of communication. There was a solution, the solution required me to spend more money on labor and materials but Bernie and Ryan ignore requests. I confronted Ryan at the store and he told me what I wanted to hear to get me to leave but he never followed up when I sent him emails or text messages.
