Finally after the 4th attempt they were finally able to get the window installed. I had to burn 4 days of pto for this job before it was complete. I asked at the local hardware store where I could get glass replacements and Park Place Screen & Glass was nearby! Ken phoned me in a day or so and quoted me a very reasonable price and when I agreed he told me when the shelves would be ready. I just returned home and put the shelves in the metal table and they are absolutely perfect! I am so very pleased and highly recommend this place for any glass work needed. This review is 3.5 stars. I brought them a lamp that belonged to my grandmother and is very special…read moreto me. I wanted the lamp re-wired and to be painted. This was done in just a few days but when I picked it up I was told that they didn't put the original pull switch back because the wiring came with a rotary switch near the plug. I was also told that he staggered the lights because it was safer for the glass globes. I told them the lamp was already staggered and this seemed like news to them. I took the lamp home but wasn't happy about not having the middle pull switch. I returned it to have them reattach it. The gentleman showed me a switch with a tiny little chain and told me that it was the original switch. I told him it wasn't because the original was longer and had a ball on the end. He produced another little chain with ball but it didn't look right. I left him to it and it was returned with what I believe is my original pull switch. However, after dropped it off the second time, I was concerned that the integrity of this lamp was being compromised. I called and shared my concerns with Celia. It was a tense conversation and I admit I wasn't pleased. The gentleman was terse with me when I picked it up the second time but I expected that. PROs: The price was reasonable. The paint job was good. They provided the extra screws I requested to hold the globes. They gave me a set of hanging hooks. CONs: He didn't seem to know what the lamp looked like when I first brought it in. Changed lamp by removing the pull switch without consulting me or asking if it was okay. Two of the sockets are askew so the bulbs don't sit centrally. Didn't know which switch was mine when I brought it back and had to provide them a picture. The lamp works and the paint job is great but I'm going to have a friend re-wire the hanging sockets to get the globes in their original staggered positions and to straighten out the sockets. I won't use J and C again but if you're very clear about what you want and document your electronics with photos before you give it to them, you'll probably be okay.

I already spent a bunch at Home depot trying to do it myself. I was told by Ramiro multiple times - not a problem, but still the drapes are hanging unevenly, rod bowing in middle, and the job already paid in full to Carol's Draperies: $748. I could not re-arrange work to be home today - this being the 3rd visit to install: 1st visit - wrong hardware 2nd- installed but sagging, 3rd - today to install "new" heavy duty brackets, still sagging when he left. Because obvious lack of communication, I asked my Spanish speaking niece that lives at home to call and explain that the drapes were still not straight, the weight of the drapes was still not being supported. Ramiro told my niece I was being cheap, and that he would CALL IMMIGRATION on her, and then hung up?????!!!!!! I never questioned the price, or asked for discounts? He bid the job, not me? I paid half up front and the remainder the 2nd visit he installed the drapes- trusting he'd come back and fix the problem. I repeatedly stated how heavy the drapes were and how I wanted them to hang. I cannot have him come back to my home after this. His response? "Sorry I will order the bracket to have in the shop."
