Called for a few questions about glass since this was my first time dealing with broken glass. The man over the phone was very helpful and gave me a quick estimate of the work I needed. Showed up and gave him the dimensions of the glass top of my aquarium tank and in about 10 minutes I had a brand new cover! The location is tucked in some warehouses . It's the 3 or 4th warehouse . Called and asked if I'm able to bring in a mirror I needed to resize, Jim said I would be able to take it in and have it done same day as long as it wasn't too close to closing time. I looked up 3 companies, all highly rated on Yelp and Google, and made phone calls asking for estimates for replacing broken glass on a double pane single hung window. Jim was the only one I called that could replace the glass the same day, and he was also the lowest quote. What sold me, was that he said he would lower the price if I brought the window to him, AND walked me through the simple process of taking the window pane out. (I'm 8 months pregnant, so if I can do it, anyone can). I drove it to his shop, he called me less than 4 hours later, and charged me less than what he had quoted. Took the broken screen to Jim and Mike and agreed to wait while they assembled a new one with better parts (all metal construction, not cheap plastic corners). Very reasonable $. Asked about a heavy duty screen and he said I could get 3 screen for the cost of one and he didn't recommend it for a window.
