We paid them $7,000 -- a wildly overpriced amount -- but because they did a good job for us in 2022, we trusted them again. That trust was a huge mistake. It is now three months later and my yard is still in complete despair. The owner, Joe, specifically agreed to also remove the stump, and yet it still sits rotting in my backyard. Because of this, weeds have overtaken the space and my family hasn't been able to enjoy our backyard the entire summer. I have called, texted, and left voicemails multiple times. Joe occasionally responds just enough to string me along, then disappears to chase new projects and new customers' money, while completely ignoring the work I already paid him for. His behavior is unprofessional, dishonest, and absolutely disgraceful. At this point, I've contacted officials, and my attorney will be handling this matter moving forward. They also broke the top slat of my fence by stepping on it to try to get to a branch. This is not my tree nor am I the owner, and while the impacted neighbor had every right to to cut branches that were problematic for her building, you are required to clean up all of the debris. I gave them access, I said to one of the crew members, "you're going to clean this up right?" He looked over and said "oh" and left. At worst, this would be considered illegally dumping, at best, I would just call it sloppy.
