Even though there were many people already waiting, the check-in process through the kiosk was smooth and efficient. You can check in either at the kiosk or online. I checked in at the kiosk. After checking in you just wait to be called. The laboratory was very busy in the morning but seemed less crowded after 2pm. I am afraid of needles, but the phlebotomists verified my information and performed the blood draw with care and precision, which helped me feel more comfortable. The only downside was the wait time. Most of the time they were behind schedule and I had to wait anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour. Everyone was attentive and accommodating. I am pleased with the quality of care and feel comfortable coming here. I've felt welcomed, safe, respected, and supported, especially as a person with a disability in that environment. I'm deducting one star for the restroom cleanliness, as the floor was covered with water or urine. Otherwise, a professional and well-organized experience. As a person with a degree who values quality healthcare, I appreciate the professionalism and care I've experienced here. Overall, I recommend this Quest Diagnostics Laboratory for laboratory services.

Seems this parking for medical instances is revenue for Garden City at a cost of $15 with an administrative fee of $3.25 . If you're disabled or prefer to face outward for safety, good luck ...ticket was there within 15 minutes!!! Upon entering sits a woman who seems nice and once inside the actual test room is 2 check in computer kiosks . What if you're not savvy , no one there to help. The intake nurse phlebotomist quoted an immediate $30 dollar hold on my card when my co pay is $15. She quoted some arbitrary policy which made no sense to which I contested but just wanted to get it done. My final thought is if you want to get this done , not to frequent this particular practice which quickly became a very expensive day!!!

Had to take my twins to get their labs done, so I went to the quest located in Rockville, LI. Site had great parking with is always a big plus.. Site was clean and easy to find in the building. We got there a bit earlier, I was hoping to be taken sooner, but it didn't happen. But, at least we were taking right on our appointment time. We checked in at the self check in machine, it was pretty straightforward to use. There was a worker at the desk if you needed help. Phlebotomist , did her paper work and handle both my kids. Her energy was a bit low, but maybe she was having a long day. Kids said she was good with the needle and they didn't feel it ( so she gets a pass ) I would definitely go back if I have to.

The first sign that it was going to be a smooth appointment was when I pulled up to the massive parking lot.. so many open spots to choose from! The second sign was that I was called into the room literally within one minute of checking in for my appointment time. Things were looking good! One moment later, I had the good luck of receiving Glenyss as my lab technician. I was a "chatty-kathy" as I always am when it comes to needles, but her bedside manner, friendly & warm personality, and sense of humor really put me at ease. I had to get two vials drawn and I couldn't even feel or notice when she transitioned to the second one. It was over before I knew it! I've had blood drawn several times in my life and this was hands down, the best experience ever! On top of all that, Glenyss gave me a sticker from the movie Cars, as I "seem to be a car guy." I literally felt like a kid again.. how cool! LabCorp, if you're reading this... Glenyss over at your Rockville Center location for sure deserves a raise! She's doing an incredibly amazing job and is a great asset to your company.

The service at this Quest location is excellent, the waiting room and exam rooms are clean, and all of the lab technicians are friendly and wonderful. I made my appointment online a few weeks before, arrived on time, and then you check in at the very, user-friendly tablet/kiosk. If you go early (7am - 9:30am), you pretty much get called in within a few minutes. I sat here for the 3-hour glucose tolerance test, so I was able to witness why so many patients were actually frustrated. More than half of the patients saw the kiosk and immediately started complaining/getting anxious with the technology before attempting to check-in; some showed up late, didn't come prepared with their insurance cards and scripts and then wondered why the technicians were not working fast enough; some people just sat there, didn't bother to check-in, and wondered why they weren't being called when there are clearly signs that say "check in here" by the kiosks; other people just flat out typed in the wrong information during check-in and had to check-in multiple times. Someone actually started arguing with the staff because they didn't have a "sign in sheet"... so, OF COURSE the techs/staff are not going to be nice to you if they are getting yelled at!

Sunrise Medical Labs doesn't deserve any stars at all. If there were an option for negative stars…read morein this rating system I would award them -100 stars. Let me start by informing all American patients who patronize this lab that Sunrise Medical Labs is not an American-owned business. They are a subsidiary of a very large, global healthcare conglomerate named Sonic Healthcare Limited, an Australian company. This is important to know, because if you have a problem with Sunrise Medical Labs, Sonic Healthcare will not help you. Sunrise Medical Labs themselves did not address or respond to some very serious issues that I experienced at their lab. Sonic Healthcare's American corporate office also ignored my request for assistance. This lab is a disaster. Disorganized staff, extremely rude, uncaring staff, incompetent staff. Staff that didn't know the correct type of blood test, and, in fact, didn't even know what the blood test was. Staff that refused to escalate issues or even respond to valid, serious complaints. I'm confident this place would be shut down quickly if these issues were brought to the attention of the applicable regulatory agencies that monitor lab practices. Since healthcare is unlike most other businesses; dealing with what can sometimes be life and death issues, labs such as Sunrise Medical Labs should be held to a higher standard than other types of businesses. I cannot recommend this lab and highly advise anyone visiting this lab to be very careful and closely monitor the staff. This review is solely my opinion about this business and you might find that your experience differs from mine.
