It took about 10 minutes to get in after my appointment but really had a great experience with the person drawing my blood. Honestly, she was the only person who was ever able to hit my "floating vein" in my left arm. I actually told her that no one was able to get blood out of my left arm and to use my right. 93 year old mother makes an appmt to bring in a specimin. SHows up at new Quest at 2000 N. Village Ave. Has script, only 1 employee there, tells her it'll be an hour wait. People in the hallway waiting. She has an appmt and just needs to drop off the specimin. They tell her to go to 165 N. Village Ave Quest Lab. She goes there, they tell her they can't take her. 93 year old waits over an hour TO DROP OFF A SPECIMIN and finally leaves since she is exhausted and has walked all over buildings looking for labs. I walked in there at 8:15am for my 8:30am appointment, followed the directions on the check in monitor and it said my appointment was not found. I had a confirmation number and wasn't understanding the issue. The next nurse then yelled at me from the back room and told me I wasn't allowed to stand there and I needed to check in and sit down. This was the most horrific lab experience I have ever had and I, unfortunately, have quite a few. In this case, I was prescribed a home collection kit to pick up and drop off at this location. On trying to pick up, I was rudely told to sign in and sit and wait my turn. For a simple pick up, I waited 45 minutes. No work done on site. When I was given the kit, a plastic bag was literally thrown at me with no instruction. I had to call the main line for instructions when it was unclear. I'll add that, while waiting, I saw several elderly patients being treated with such severe disrespect and bullying that I was horrified. I was able to direct them to another facility that would show them kindness as care. And I will add that the check in process is blatantly violating patient privacy by asking personal questions and shouting prescription information for the packed waiting room to hear. If that wasn't bad enough, when attempting to drop off, I was again told to get in line and wait. I had a frozen sample and the staff could not have cared less. I waited another hour just to hand them my sample, being treated in such a manner that a healthcare company should be completely ashamed of! I watched as the staff took my bag, opened a specimen bag in the lobby (!!!!) remover the prescription and tossed the bag on the ground. There is no code or label on the samples!!! I am so disturbed by the complete lack of care or ethical treatment of material let alone patients. After calling corporate I was told "it is what it is" by several "supervisors". This is disgusting and if I can keep just one person from this place this long review will be worth it. You have choices!!!!!! Do NOT give a penny to this disgusting establishment!!! read more

Wow! Glenny S is my hero. I've spent the last 3 weeks back and forth with an accessalabs quest in New Hyde park with nothing but problems. Telling me I've made the wrong appointment when I had the right documents. Well long story short Glenny actually treated me as a human being rather then just another client/customer. She sat with me and verified all my documents were correct, got me scheduled the same day for a drug test, and made me feel like family. As soon as you walk into the door of the building that houses this Quest, it feels like you've entered a penitentiary. Once you get into Quest, it's not any better. We had a 10:45 appointment and the place was packed, full of folks who had been waiting for an hour or more past their appointments. All for simple blood work. That's ridiculous. I think it starts with an "N". But she was very pleasant and nice. She was gentle with me, I hate needles and being stuck with them. I seriously don't understand the bad reviews, so don't let them discourage you from making an appointment at this location. The service at this Quest location is excellent, the waiting room and exam rooms are clean, and all of the lab technicians are friendly and wonderful. I made my appointment online a few weeks before, arrived on time, and then you check in at the very, user-friendly tablet/kiosk. If you go early (7am - 9:30am), you pretty much get called in within a few minutes. I sat here for the 3-hour glucose tolerance test, so I was able to witness why so many patients were actually frustrated. More than half of the patients saw the kiosk and immediately started complaining/getting anxious with the technology before attempting to check-in; some showed up late, didn't come prepared with their insurance cards and scripts and then wondered why the technicians were not working fast enough; some people just sat there, didn't bother to check-in, and wondered why they weren't being called when there are clearly signs that say "check in here" by the kiosks; other people just flat out typed in the wrong information during check-in and had to check-in multiple times. Someone actually started arguing with the staff because they didn't have a "sign in sheet"... so, OF COURSE the techs/staff are not going to be nice to you if they are getting yelled at! read more

I can't wait for urine test anymore. But front desk told me I had to wait. So, I finally went to another Quest Diagnostics at Freeport later. It only took 5 minutes to finish the urine sample collection there. Professional, clean, smooth, no problem at Freeport. What happened in Quest Diagnostics Rockville Centre? There were only two staffs on site. After I waited 1 hour, one staff who was just back lunch told us other staff need to have lunch. After I waited 2 hours, the same staff told us everyone who doesn't want to wait can go to other Quest Diagnostics. WOW! She clearly knew there was something wrong. Then, I told front desk that I had to use restroom after 3 hours waiting. I couldn't do it again when it might be urine test half hour later. But front desk said she couldn't help. Worst location! Stay away from here. Went there for a 1 hr glucose test and the whole time everyone was waiting and complaining because they were dragging! The employees were too busy socializing! After the hour I told them they had to draw my blood and they made me wait more. Another phlebotomist had to come draw my blood because they were taking other patients before me and she told them I was there first. A week later I get a call from my doctor saying the test wasn't done right and I have to redo it! I called the lab and they said not enough blood was drawn for the test. I wasn't surprised! I have used Quest many times for various blood tests. Today I had a horrible experience at the RVC branch. The woman who took my information at the desk named Tiffany was incredibly rude and disrespectful. She starts off by telling me I shouldn't be drinking water- which I ask her why- and she continues to patronize me that I shouldn't drink water when fasting. However, every other lab tech, etc, said this was incorrect. Next, she makes a nasty comment about "All these pregnant women making me hungry" assuming I am pregnant and that is why I am taking the test. I am in fact NOT pregnant and have lost 2 babies. I am taking this test as a NON gestational test. Instead of apologizing she continues to tell me it was not written on my form which is not true because I saw it written myself. Not a big deal but she could have apologized instead of continuing to argue with me. Now the whole office knows my business and that I lost a baby since I have to sit and wait in the waiting room for 2 plus hours. The final lab was drawn late due to their incompetence. Tiffany should not be working in a facility with patients if she does not know how to talk to people in a professional and friendly manner. She should also not give incorrect information about the tests at the desk. Natasha and the gentlemen who actually took my blood were great. Tiffany made me cry before I even started giving blood and I am appalled at what I dealt with. Had this done 2/17/2020 in RVC office. read more

Waited 45 minutes even though check-in screen said 13 minutes the entire time. When I was called found out they don't do PPDs.

The building looks like a trap house, they're no signs up telling you where to go and people were literally wondering the halls trying to find their suites. Quest itself looks like a elementary school nurses office from the 80's. It frankly looks unclean and I'm glad I was going for a urine test and not to get blood drawn because I'm fairly certain I'd leave with a blood borne illness. The "supervisor" was confronting a patient that had been waiting for 2 hours because the woman was obviously upset for waiting so long and instead of apologizing and approaching her kindly he says and I quote "let me stop you right there before you get ahead of yourself...."!? Excuse me but that is not how you approach a situation like this and he is supposed to be a supervisor he needs to be fired. god forbid someone had a hypoglycemic episode and passed out there was another woman with her child not more than 2 years old that waited for 2 plus hours a child ladies and gentlemen they had a child of 2 years old waiting for 2+ hours?! And not to mention they didn't come out to call any names in the 2 hours I was there I think they came out from the back max twice and when I asked one of the people taking blood what was taking so long she immediately gave me an attitude and started raising her voice with me telling me that she had gotten there at 1 and it was now 3 and she'd already taken 7 patients which was false because I had gotten there the same time she came in and one of the two times she came in the front to get a patient she called 4-6 people's names of which all had left because obviously they didn't want to wait any longer so in her mind I'm assuming she thought those qualified as patients. I was beyond myself the attitudes need to go and if anyone higher up reads this please fire the two people that were working today I will never come back here again and quite honestly I don't know how this office is still afloat more than half the people that came in left the office I think about 1% of the people that came actually stayed and got they're blood work done or whatever else they had to do. And also there's nobody in the front for patients who are not technologically savvy some people barley knew how to sign in. No bed side manor, disgusting environment, HORRIBLE PEOPLE HORRIBLE EMPLOYEES!!!! Rudest people I've ever met were the employees today!!!! Close this place down!!!! read more

I had a horrible experience with these people. I had to drop off a specimen and went without an appointment. They told me I had to make one in order to be attended. Well, I made one for the following business day and I arrived at their office 1/2 hour earlier and considering there were a few people waiting I thought I would be immediately attended, after all I only had to drop off the specimen. Well my appointment time came and nothing happened, when I asked an employee when I would be attended she told me I would have to wait between 15 and 25 minutes more because they were short on personnel that day. I told her I was working and that I couldn't wait and she simply shrugged her shoulders as if saying : "I don't care, you may wait or leave, it's all the same to us". To make the long story short: I had to leave, wasting more than 1/2 hour of my time off at work for nothing. Shame on these guys!!!. Customer service changed dramatically.
