After 4-5 visits with my son, we are done with this Quest. I have a problem there every single time, either with the script, long wait times, having to give my insurance info every time, etc. this last time, my son was denied bloodwork because it was less than a month since the last visit (no one ever warned me of this possibility). Before being denied, a woman came into the waiting room seconds after I checked in at the computer. She didnt seem to believe me, did not register my answers to her questions, was staring at weird screen in the corner, and when I questioned her she said that she was just trying to help, but her tone was more accusatory and impatient (we had the last appt before closing time). The place is always hot and this last time. an alarm was beeping every 30 seconds. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

Walked in at 9:30 on Monday morning, fully expecting to wait for a long time, however, I was pleasantly surprised when I was called within 15 minutes. The facility is clean and well lit with a nice bathroom. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The disgusting attitude of Felicia (if that's even her real name) when I forgot a mask should be looked into by Quest corporate. She refused to give me a mask claiming that they had none and I had to borrow one from a random person in the waiting room just to be seen. I find it hard to believe a medical practice has no masks. In fact, I even saw some when I went to sit down for my bloodwork. Also, the Quest information announcements they have playing over the speaker in the lobby say masks are optional. If you are going to force masks (which I do not even believe Quest does, but Felicia wanted to make up her own rules and act nasty because she was on a power trip at 7 in the morning), then you should be able to provide masks for those that forget to bring one. This is standard practice. I'll go to LabCorps from now on if this is what Quest considers appropriate employee behavior. I'm sorry that you had to work on Saturday morning Felicia!! Amber is the best! She is kind, patient, and easy going. I went for my appointment on April 23, 2024. I had to wait a little as there was a man there causing chaos simply due to being 3 hours early for his appointment and demanding to be seen immediately. My veins are horrific, Amber did her best, the first round. Then she had me go sit in the waiting room and pound water. She called me back in and got the vein immediately. The Floral Park Location could be better regarding staff customer service. I have used this location various times and each time I am sorely disappointed with my experience. That particular location needs either a staff overhaul or a customer service class for their employee and that's including the office manager or supervisor. They are very rude and lack empathy. The care my husband received was very unprofessional from the technician to the supervisor. I placed a call to the corporate office and the follow-up response was quick but no resolution of the issue or follow-up of the issue. I rate this location very very poor. read more

Was told patients with appointments had priority (as they should) - but I was seen as soon as a technician was available and was in an out. No issues, no complaints. Decided to make an update - to inform fellow Yelpers, not to complain. I tried to go in for a walk-in today, but I was essentially told I could not be seen until next week, the earliest time they have an opening. I actually already made an appointment earlier today, but just for the heck of it, went by the Quest (didn't go out of my way though), and crossed my fingers I'd be lucky enough to catch an opening. The appointment-making process via phone was pretty seamless. Anyway, made this update so patients are aware that they probably can't count on getting lucky with a walk-in. Just make an appointment. It takes a few minutes and it gives a sense of security that you'll be seen. Why am I not taking away any stars? In their automated message, they do advise you to make an appointment, saying walk-ins are not guaranteed to be seen. So I didn't feel blindsided at all when I was told I could not be seen without having made an appointment today. I get it, we are busy. And the office still has a professional and well-run feel to it. Still getting 5 stars from me! read more

Had to go here today for a blood test bc my doctor wouldn't send lab script to lab Corp which i prefer. And it had to be done today.. I anticipated the worst as I had no appointment and I went to another quest location last week. . I had to wait about 90 min even though the tv said 4 min. The problem is that they don't have any support staff to process payments so that is left to the technician. It is usually difficult to find my veins but most skilled phlebotomists eventually do. The one today had a hard time and was moving the needle in my arm so it was painful. I will not ever use quest again! read more

I went to Quest Diagnostics in Floral Park with a specimen for my 93 year old mom. I arrived 5 minutes before they closed. I though I just needed to drop it off but I had to fill out the form on the Kiosk. I was called about 10 minutes later by a gentleman. He started to do the paperwork and realized there was no insurance/Medicare information in the system and without it he couldn't continue. I explained that I drove from upstate NY (Yorktown area) to Floral Park to pick up and drop off the specimen. This man was so kind. He allowed me to go back to my mom's house, pick up her information and drive back. It probably took about an extra 20 minutes. When I got back he saw me and did whatever he needed to do paperwork wise. He was kind and deserves recognition for his work ethic. Not everyone would have been so kind. I am sorry I didn't get his name but I believe he is from Haiti if that narrows it down. He is a credit to your organization. read more

I never had an issue with this location (or with Quest Diagnostics) but corporate should fire the supervisor here (black lady, average build, and about five feet five inches tall). My experience at this location was the worst. Upon entering the "greeter", was so rude and brusque. I then was told to sit and was skipped in line by someone whose appointment was 15 later than min. I had had my prescription faxed two weeks ago by my doctor, to the correct fax number ( I checked later), but it could not be found. I had tried to call for two weeks to check if they had received it but no one ever answered or returned my call. SO never got my blood drawn after this awful ordeal. The customer service is absolutely horrendous!!! I took my 14 year old son for a blood test he had not eaten since 11pm the night before. When we got there parking was tight so I ended up having him go in alone he literally walked through the door at 1240pm and his appointment was 1230pm. they took people who's appointment was at a later time and had my 14 year waiting Till Nearly all the patients were seen. It wasn't until I expressed this to one of the staff and told her if we were going to be the last patients seen we will reschedule did she call us. Disgusting place, I would give them zero stars if I could. Being that this place is the closest to my house I have given them multiple chances, but they have failed me again and again. Around January I went there and was admitted after waiting 30 minutes with no one there. Not only that, but the lady taking my blood not only dug for my vein in one arm but after not finding it she went to my other arm only to dig for my vein again. Then another time around march, as well as today, the computer system was down and they weren't admitting anyone. I find it very disrespectful and a waste of time for me to come with an 11 o'clock appointment only to be told to wait 3-4 hours or to go somewhere else. After asking one of the people working there if it's possible to get a phone call to let us know when the systems are back up I was totally disregard. Meanwhile this whole situation could have been resolved if they would have called when the systems first went down. They were speaking very curtly and short to their patients, refusing to answer questions, one staff person actually yelled at me to stop asking questions when I had been waiting for over an hour. She refused to give me her name. I like the 6 a.m. start I can get in there and get finished right away. It was very easy there was parking in the front, it was early in the morning so that wasn't an issue. I was seen 2 minutes after I checked in. Plenty of seating although there was nobody really there. My recommendation if your cut for time go early. read more

I was terrified to go get my blood work done because I'm a fainter when it comes to that. I was scared! I was able to find metered parking right out front. A quarter per hour. I went inside to a little lobby with a small television and a few chairs for us patients to kick it in as we await our shots (shots shots shots shots shots..EVERYBODY! If only it were those kind of shots and not dreaded bloodwork. UGH) I arrived a little after 8 and although there wasn't much of a crowd the sign in sheet made it seem like I would have been there all day. I waited about a total of 15 minutes before my name was called so don't let that paper scare you. There was 2 or 3 lab technicians in there ready to get us all taken care of. One lady (of course I didn't get here) seemed to be a super sweet heart. Was very friendly with everyone and went out of her way to help all the little old people hobbling around. The other lady (that I had) wasn't awful but she wasn't as nice and caring as I wanted her to be. I am a babybeyotch when it comes to getting my blood drawn so I need someone that's going to cuddle me and remind me that I'm not going to die in here no matter how dizzy and faint I get. She didn't make much small talk when I went into the room with her. It was a clean enough room..not exceptionally clean..but clean enough. Told me to have a seat as it took her about 8 minutes to prepare everything. Then without warning, she threw that tie on my arm and got right down to it. 3 tubes of blood later, she's talking, I can't hear a word she's saying and I'm like 3 seconds from falling out of that chair and dying. I was entirely dizzy and incoherent and I'm trying to tell her as best as I can in my state of complete confusion. She stopped and got me a napkin with some water on it and told me to put it all over myself to try and calm myself down and regroup. She gave me about 5 minutes before she started to get antsy. She told me to go lay down in the other room because she had other people waiting....NOW.. she probably didn't mean to sound rude... but it sounded rude to me. I was too weak and too dizzy to say anything snotty back and that would not have been such a good idea considering she would have to stick me again to get the three other tubes of blood so I quietly dragged my self to the room next door and laid down. This room had a bed and was just a clean as the other one. After she finished the 3 other tubes, she told me me to stay put for a while and not to move until I was sure I was feeling okay. She handed me the little urine tube and headed to another patient. The bathroom?? Not so clean. For whatever reason, some people felt that leaving their cup of old urine on the counter by the sink was okay. IT'S NOT! There should be a sign reminding people to dispose of the cups. It was pretty gross trying to wash my hands and dodge the cups of old piss scattered all over the place. When I came back she was working with a new patient and she told me to come in the room and drop my urine on the table. I thought that was a tad unprofessional. You have a patient sitting there.. I am NOT to be coming in the room. I wouldn't have liked anyone else coming in the room while I was being prepped, waving their tube of piss all over. Another thing, there was no snacks or anything in sight. Not that I wanted a meal but when people are getting blood work down they get dizzy..and some of us have to fast the night before so it would be kind of ideal to have a little bowl of candy or something in the place for people that have low sugar or need a pick me up after being drained. HELLO! At all the school blood drives and other labs I have been to they have a little something to keep you on your toes after having the blood sucked out of you.. why would they not think of that?! Whatever though. I'll come back here because its the closet spot that works with the doctor's office that I go to and the other lady is probably a little dream to work with. Went to get blood work done and was called in by Katherine (phlebotomist). Katherine didn't greet me or introduce herself. She looked very angry, proceeded to ask me for a credit card. I told her I always get a bill and pay it immediately as she can see from my many years of using Quest. She told me she did not want to have to call her boss and explain it to him why a credit card was not obtained, so I needed to give her a credit card. I told her I could pay her with cash instead. She said they weren't allowed to take cash and next time I had to give a credit card. In all the years I have used Quest I have never encountered such a bitter, unhappy and angry person. Quest needs to look into the caliber of individuals they are hiring. Patients should feel welcome by caring staff. read more

This place is amazingly expedient and efficient. I've been coming here for at least 3 years. I've always had my bloodwork completed within 10 minutes, I never wait more than 25 minutes to be seen even without an appointment and I have never had an infection post bloodwork. However, I always make sure to come early in the morning. The latest I've come in is 10 AM. Therefore, my review may only be relevant to morning conditions. read more

I walked in without an appointment- they told me to sign in on a tablet and immediately my name was called. I forgot to take the girls name down in room 1 but she was extremely helpful and fast. Once again, another positive experience at this Quest location and I need to praise them on a job well done!!! Had to get blood work done and chose to roll the dice as a walk-in, since website was not showing any appointments available in early morning (they happily accept walk-ins, but those with scheduled appointment get priority -- totally understood). Went on Friday morning around 7:30 am...no one in waiting room and I was able to promptly check in. In about 2 minutes I was called...very quick prep / set-up and no issues with drawing blood. Gave my urine sample as well and was out the door...from walk-in to walk-out was 10 minutes! Certainly exceeded my expectations for a walk-in. Location is super clean and staff is very friendly and attentive. I highly recommend going to this location! read more

I've been coming here for over 10 years but the last visit a black lady, extreme loudmouth, with fake eyelashes kept screaming at everyone and calling them ignorant. She's apparently the supervisor. I had a 2pm appointment, I signed in. By 2:20pm I tell her my name isn't on the TV screen and she said have a seat. I sat for another 20 minutes and go to her again and she goes "you're going to have to stay seated." She then lied by saying she called me (which I never heard because with her loud mouth I would've) and made me wait until after all the walk-in patients were seen, which makes no sense because I had an appointment and I had proof. I was there since 1:45pm and she made everyone else go infront (walk-ins) and I didn't go until 4pm. Then she had the audacity to scream "black lives matter" due to another situation that happened prior to my arrival. She should not be a supervisor. She also yelled at a lady who had her daughter with her. She should be fired. I've never had this experience before here. Maybe act civilized and professional, lady because I know for a fact if this happened to her she would've blown up a storm. They only care when it happens to them. read more

For years this place was always expedient. After changing to automated reception the place has gone down hill. Waited over an hour and a half with my mom for a urine drug test for her job. An elderly woman said she'd waited over 2 hours for testing. Absolutely terrible. We were only waited on when we stormed back to complain. read more

HORRIBLE. I have never seen a patient facility run like its a animal facility with ZERO regard to patient care and safety! I went to this place for a simple urine test with my toddler. Not only was the receptionist (nurse tracking patient check-ins), I was bypassed for over 15minutes and she was taking in patients with appointment times 40mins later than mine. When I asked the receptionist when I would be called and why I was being bypassed, she LIED and said she has no control over the list however SHE was checking names off, noting their appt time, and gave me an attitude and rolled her eyes. IF she does not like her job, she should quit and management needs to check this person on her SERVICE to patient care and respect. In addition, they made me leave my toddle ALONE in a seat while i went in to provide the sample. They did not CARE he was only 2, they did not offer to assist and have him stand outside my door, they did not even give me any options to come back just as basic human courtesy but instead they made me leave him in the lobby, unsupervised and showed not even a incline of rush so I can get back to him fast. I am appalled that this place is even in patient care. We will never return. read more
