The food and the service was so good. I especially loved their shop and scenery. Ronny is the goat making him manager and I'll come back and drop a band. Thanks to Ronny I had a really great time and he made my experience something I won't her forever.

After a long flying, I met with family and enjoyed city walk before having a nice sit down meal. I'd never been to hard rock Orlando and I was so hungry and craving a steak. So steak it was! The hard rock was busy but we didn't wait long for a table. I choose a big Dos XX to ease me into dinner. Not long after I choose the medium sirloin with mashed potato's and green beans. Food arrived not long after and it was cooked to my asking. Good suggestion from my server on the marbling and less fat. Steak was delish mashed potatoes were good too. green beans coulda been steamed a lil more. Over all meal was good and a fun Friday night.

This venue has phenomenal close seating to some big name acts with the added bonus of being inside the universal property. If you stay at a universal property, you don't have to worry about parking or having a few drinks during the show and you don't have to show up hours early to ensure you can park in a parking garage. Security checking bags did it efficiently and quickly. I was prepared to wait in long lines when I saw there was only one bar when you walked in the door, but I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly we were served and didn't have to wait in line. The bartender could probably use a little help. One of them had an attitude to anyone who asked them a question. The only thing that I could say negative about the venue was that the seats are connected to each other and in this post Covid age I don't want to sit on top of my neighbor who I don't know. We reset third row and my ears weren't vibrating after the show from the speakers being way too loud. The acoustics were great and the show was phenomenal. We would definitely come back.

LOVED this venue. It made the Maria's concert feel super intimate and lighting and quality of sound was insane. Definitely best concert I've ever been to. All of the workers tried their best to keep everything organized and everybody safe.

April 10 came to Hard Rock Live to see Angela Johnson sitting in the front row being partially mobility disabled was so grateful to have a security guard named Don he was so accommodating my foot was hurting keeping it down so as soon as everyone was seated, he got a chair for me to keep my foot up and he stayed and made sure that everybody got to their seat safely and that I was not in a way yet I was able to enjoy the show cause I could keep my foot up he's very very nice person and we are so lucky to have him on our side of the sold out show thank you so much Don. He deserves recognition and appreciation as well.

Saw Paul Oakenfold and The Crystal Method last night. Ticket was $32. "service charges" were $13.95 but that didn't include the additional $32 they charged for parking. I think I'll be selling my Peter Frampton ticket. I think I've seen my last concert here.

I always dread going to Hard Rock to see a show because (1) traffic can be hell especially during the work week; (2) it cost $30 to park here before 6pm; (3) the long lines at the security checkpoint; (4) fighting the crowd to get through City Walk to the venue; (4) drink prices are pricy; (5) The REAL General Admission (GA) might be blocked off from the front of the stage all the way back to the bar depending on the event; and (6) the restroom situation sucks at times. Don't get me wrong, Hard Rock has a lot to offer and being the rocker that I am, I love seeing live music; yet, every time we buy tickets, I die inside just a little. I refuse to pay $30 to park here if I bought tickets to see a show at the Hard Rock. Alternatively, I could spend a small fortune at the Hard Rock Café to have my parking validated, but I would rather get my moneys worth somewhere else on Kirkman and arrive at 6pm. Once parked, you must clear Universals security checkpoint then navigate through the thousands of guests at City Walk to the Hard Rock. This process can take anywhere from 10-30 minutes depending on lines and your athletic ability. Checking-in at Hard Rock is usually quick and painless; yet there is another brief security checkpoint when entering the venue. If you managed to beat the crowds to the show, secure your spot (if you have a crew with you), use the restroom (if needed), and order a drink otherwise you will spend a lot of time trying do one of these three things once the venue fills up. Do yourself and everyone else a favor by bringing CASH to buy drinks. The bartenders are the bomb and they pour stiff drinks for the price ($18 Whiskey Ginger); however, they can only go as fast as a credit system/customer allows. Also, keep your cup and bring it to the Hard Rock next time around to receive a discount on drinks ($2). The new thing that big venues like Hard Rock seem to be doing is blocking off the entire GA area with chairs and making it VIP, this is really pissing me off. I've seen plenty of shows here with GA tickets where I can get all the way up to the stage, now, I never know what I am going to get. Our most recent visit here was to see Cheap Trick. I was so excited, I haven't seen them in 20 years. I knew I would walk out with plenty of Rick Nielsen picks for my collection but NO, the entire floor was blocked off for VIP and we were stuck in the bar area all night. When the show was done, security wouldn't even let run a quick check for miscellaneous picks, when I tried, security herded us out of the venue; ridiculous! As you can probably tell, I'm not crazy about Hard Rock, but they do host some amazing bands, comedians, and other live entertainment. If you have never been here before I highly recommend going just be prepared for the issues brought to light by reviews like this one, so you can plan ahead and have a great time.

The venue is great they have a huge space for standing and have a balcony. I love that it's so open. In the back they have a bar. My only issue is that it's really hot once people are inside. The drinks are good but expensive. Pregame before you go. And bring a neck fan.

As far as live venue's go, this one delivers for a medium size show. I've seen it set up for comedy and music. I prefer the layout when it's set up with seats on the floor, but for a general admission (GA) show, it can suck as there's no where to sit. I literally stood in the same spot for 4 hours at the last show (it was a good spot for us and I didn't want to lose it). That's metal for ya... can't have chairs! I wonder why.... One thing to note is it's not very deep, so even if your in the back, you're not too far from the stage. It's pretty wide so if you're off to the side, you may not have the best view, but it's not a bad view either. There's upstairs balcony seating too, but I haven't had the privilege of partaking in that perk. The logistics of getting here absolutely suck, but that's not the venue's fault. It is what it is. You do have to park in the same places all those people going to Universal park, so that can be a drag. If you're going to show, it's usually in the evening so lines aren't terrible (at least during the week). Although it has its faults, it serves the area well and if there's a band or comic or magician or juggler or psychic or pianist or plate spinner or dog act or cooking demo or ballet dancer or acrobat or sewing demonstration, I'll suck it up, pay $27 to park, walk 500 miles and eat at Cowfish beforehand.

I would suggest coming earlier in the day vs towards the end of the day as the earlier experience and food was better. I ate their Cuban each time. One lacked pork, but generally the taste was good. The bread was a little soft compared to other Cuban sandwiches I have had, but for what it was, it was good enough. On one visit, I had French fries, and on the other, I had tots. I preferred the taste of the tots over the French fries. Ketchup is rationed out, as you need to ask someone behind the counter for ketchup. I ordered the grilled cheese sandwich for my daughter, which she enjoyed. It was 3 pieces of bread and had lots of cheesy goodness, which makes for a delicious grilled cheese. They had a couple of swinging bench seats, which were unique and fun for the kids to sit on. This was a good option for a fairly quick meal. I would eat here again.

Based on the menu, we chose Sal's Market Deli. Once we got back to the hotel, we headed to Sal's and ordered at the counter to-go. I chose Sal's Italian Classic. This sandwich was made with salami, capicola, aged provolone, tomato, lettuce, and red wine vinaigrette (I said no olives and pepperoncini). It also came with homemade chips. After taxes it was pricey at around $20, but it was a ton of food and easily shareable. The reviews don't hype this place up enough. This sandwich was amazing. The chips were great too! I'm still dreaming about the whole meal. The restaurant is super casual. You order at the counter and can eat there if you like. They had a handful of tables inside and outside. Service was superb too. The gentleman taking my order was kind and I waited less than 10 minutes for my food. If you're hungry and already paying theme park prices, come here for a great meal!

But Sal's completely surprised me in the best way. The menu is small but mighty, and I stuck with my go-to order both times: a pepperoni pizza with added black olives. And let me tell you... the pizza is DELICIOUS. It absolutely exceeded my expectations. In fact, it was so good that I ended up eating there twice during my five-day stay at the Portofino. We did try the mozzarella sticks as well, and those fell a little flat. They tasted more like a standard frozen appetizer and didn't really bring much flavor. But the pizza? Chef's kiss. Bravo, Sal's. Bravo.

The Vibe: We came on a Saturday and the parking lot was packed, which we took as a great sign--and it was. You walk through a fun outdoor patio before heading inside to order, and the space is incredibly unique--colorful, eclectic, slightly hipster, with dog photos and quirky decor everywhere. The line to order was pretty long, but we noticed a few open seats at the bar. We asked the bartender if we could order there, and she said yes--pro move. Skip the line, grab a bar seat. Drinks: We tried the house lager, which was solid and refreshing. What We Ordered: * Homemade Queso + Flavor Bomb 3 * "Famous" Pulled Pork Sandwich * "What the Fig?" Sandwich Standout Bite: The queso with Flavor Bomb 3 was incredible. Sweet, savory, and completely addictive. The pineapple in the flavor bomb added the perfect touch of sweetness and made the dish really stand out. Sandwiches: Both sandwiches were excellent. The pork was fresh, tender, and packed with flavor. The classic pulled pork was great, but if you like bold flavors, the "What the Fig?" is the way to go--the fig jam added the perfect sweet-savory balance. Flavor-packed and messy in the best way. Sides: Sandwiches come with your choice of Miss Vickie's chips, house-made slaw, or both for $1 extra. The house-made slaw was a standout for me--fresh, crisp, and the perfect complement to the sandwiches. Overall: Great food, fun atmosphere, and a unique experience from start to finish. We're already planning our next visit--and next time we're bringing our pup since they're dog-friendly and fully embrace it. Pro tip: Head straight to the bar if there's a long line--and don't skip the queso with a flavor bomb.

The UFO sandwich was deeply satisfying - delicious meats, and I added green olive crema and swapped out provolone for stracciatella. The veggie sandwich wasn't an afterthought at all--fresh, flavorful, and genuinely filling. Every ingredient tasted delicious and fresh. The cannoli was spot-on: perfect flavor, just the right level of sweetness, and clearly made with quality ingredients. Not overly sugary, not heavy--just right. The location is also a big plus. Once we entered the door we could hear a slapping sound. I walked back to where the kitchen was an saw a gal stretching a huge, long, freshly made Noodle and beating it against the table. Yup, they actually slap the shit out of these noodles before putting them it boiling water. Now scoping the restaurant while waiting we noticed that the place was filled with Asian people. Now, fancy that, an Asian noodle place filled with Asians. Now, in the San Francisco Bay area that is nothing special, but in Florida; it really tells you something. It was a simple menu, and we ordered the appetizers of Cucumber Garlic Salad, and the Chinese Peanut Salad; both of which were out of this world. The Cucumber salad, like many of the dishes at Slap had a tangy Chili Sause, with the Peanut Salad, featured small chopped celery and carrots seasoned in vinaigrette. These were sensational although to be honest, the peanuts were hard to negotiate using chop sticks. We also ordered the Pork Cabbage Dumplings. These simply exploded in your mouth; the taste, the freshness, bolstered by the sweet sauce that accompanied the massive plate of 10 dumplings. But as good as these other dishes were the superstar dish of our meal was the Beef Short Rib Chili Slap Noodles. They brought over a pair of scissors with this dish to cut the noodles which were long and fat. The Braised short rib fell off the bone and was so flavorful.
