Blackened fish sandwich was delicious but overpriced at $21
    Jon D.

The good: food was pretty good, I had the blackened fish sandwich which was really good, tasty and fresh. The bad: 18% gratuity is included which means your server has no incentive to do a good job. Prices here are insane, since when did Orlando decide to charge so much for food and drinks? Seriously you will pay the same in South Beach and NYC. These people need to tone it down several notches, Orlando is not South Beach and definitely no NYC, pricing should never be this high! Here's a breakdown: - Fish sandwich: $21 (which about $5 more than the average). - Cocktail (Moscow mule): $15! Couldn't even taste the liquor - Small water: $5 - 18% gratuity for bad service: $7.38 - Uncle Sam (tax): $2.67 Total for one sandwich, one drink and a small bottle of water was $51.05! Do yourself a favor and eat outside of the resort.

    Limited food menu.

Menu is extremely limited for a JW Marriott. Pool side service is very slow. Food quality is overall pretty good. Tried the burgers and Mediterranean Bowl with grilled chicken and they were both very good! Chicken tenders however were awful and at $19, extremely poor value! 8 different drinks listed on their House Cocktails menu and none are available except the JW Margarita. Come on guys! The JW Margarita was very good if you add a Grand Marnier float but at $24, Grand Marnier float should be included. Over all, everything was overpriced but quality was good, not great.

I brought the kids here to eat before swimming in the amazing lazy river. This place has a very small menu but enough to get purgers or chicken fingers or maybe a turkey wrap. We did order some nice smoothies for the kiddos and mango margaritas for the adults. The service was good, nothing that is story worthy that I can write up here in this review. I will say that this place is a convenience for the pool guests and the food was good but nothing extraordinary. If you're looking for convenience while enjoying some pool time, you'll appreciate Quench. Have fun :)

The hotel bar, Quench, located at the JW Marriott is perfect for when you're lazy and want a pool day, but that's about it. The menu is pretty small and really pricey. $16 got me an order of chicken tenders (5) and fries. The tenders were pretty good but the fries, which were shoestring, were cooked too much and had no insides to them. The server we had at the time was nice. We sat at the bar to eat and had table service when laying at the pool. The sell a reusable cup for $12 and it's good your entire stay and gets you fountain beverages (unlimited). The poolside service was good- they steadily stopped by to check on you. Watch- your bill with have 18 percent added on for gratuity, but fortunately they do tell you this. In terms of quality and variety, I would prefer to go offsite to eat but for convenience factor alone, I'll pay the price and eat in my lounge chair. Just charge it to my room.

Tortilla Chips with Guac and Salsa

Came to the JW Marriott for a conference and after eating in for the past 2 days, I decided I needed to feel the warmth of the sun so I went to grab some lunch at Quench. I ended up bumping into two of my co-workers so we all ate together. We started with the Tortilla Chips to share that came with Salsa and Guacamole. Pretty standard tasting and the salsa had a little more pepper than I would have liked. For lunch two of us ordered the Tuna Poke which is a salad that has avocado, cucumbers, soy, cashews, sprouts, sesame seeds over a wonton crisp with wasabi cream on top and the other ordered the Turkey BLT with fries. The wonton crisp in the Tuna Poke was not crisp it was actually a bit on the stale side and I thought the tuna was a bit salty for my taste. I ended up picking at the nachos to eat with the tuna to balance out the texture. But the presentation was pretty! The Tuna BLT looked pretty good and it was probably more poolside food than the Tuna Poke lol I would go back to check out their drinks to sip poolside since the view was nice :)

Situated outside pool side this is an outdoor eatery. For all the patrons of the JW Marriott this is absolutely a must if you're sticking around here. There is staff available to order your entree's so you never have to leave your spot the entire visit. I ordered a Beach Cosmo and love it! Enjoy your stay.

"Cheesesteak" was served on some type a harder/denser hoagie roll, like Italian bread idk... but def not on the bread a cheesesteak should be on. & it was about 5-6 inches long, which is way smaller than we imagined considering the picture on the menu or compared to cheesesteaks served in other restaurants. Sandwiches overall were good flavor-wise. Sauces needed a stronger flavor profile, all very similar and hard to distinguish the differences. Restaurant was way bigger than we expected it to be inside. Decor was cute. Looked nice and clean in the dining room. The bathrooms were disgusting and unkept. Service was lacking. Cashier seemed new (which is fine) but the other coworkers seemed annoyed they had to assist her or that she didn't know everything. She was helpful and nice to us. Cutlery, napkins, and ketchup were hiding near the soda fountain and we weren't aware of this. Accidentally took some of the togo ketchup packets to use with our fries since we didn't know there was a ketchup dispenser. These items need to be in a better spot or the food runner should direct the customers to that area so they can get the things they need for their meals. Won't be back, but I guess we're glad we tried it. Halal certified restaurant

My GPS had me go past this location which is almost directly across the street from Coggin Honda, behind a gas station. After a quick call to the restaurant the owner helped me out. Since he knew I was on the way he had started boxing up my food. The bag was heavy because I got pork and a big juicy piece of baked chicken. The rice was flavorful and had pigeon peas. The beans were thoughtfully placed in a separate small container. I also got fried plantains and chicharrones. My favorite was the beans because they were so flavorful and seemed to be a different bean than I am used to. I ended up preferring the chicken over the pork but both were good. They have a steam table with several choices but offer food by the meal. Once I located the restaurant (they have lots of lights in the front window,) I found the restaurant to be clean and the owner very kind. We chatted about me getting turned around and how close this is to my home. I have frequented similar restaurants closer to the turnpike but I think I have found a new favorite.

I originally ordered sausage, egg, and cheese, but then I saw the bacon, egg, and cheese and asked whether I could switch it. The gentleman behind the counter said they could do both, then asked whether I wanted to add a hash brown too. Obviously, I said yes. He told me they would make basically anything I wanted as long as they had the ingredients, and I absolutely loved that energy. The sandwich was huge, super cheesy, messy in the best way, and packed with sausage, bacon, egg, and a crispy hash brown. It was a very generous portion and completely worth the price. This is definitely going into my breakfast-sandwich rotation. My fiancé ordered the Godfather, which was also delicious. It is definitely on the messier side, though, so if you are getting it to go or traveling any distance, I would recommend asking for the vinaigrette on the side. Ray's has strong neighborhood bodega vibes, generous portions, and the kind of menu where they are willing to customize your order instead of making things complicated. My only minor critique is that one employee could have been a little friendlier, but everyone else made the experience enjoyable. Another great visit, and we will absolutely be back.
