It's Hard Rock, so most customers likely already know what to expect: a slightly higher price, fairly Americanized menu, and the Hard Rock decour, etc. This location isn't the most inspiring, it's a bit away from most tourist sites but close to where most expats and American tourists will likely find themselves. I've been to this one a few times over 10+ years and always found the food and service to be as good as any Hard Rock location, this most recent visit was no exception. I do recommend the new (new to me at least) Hard Rock brunch offering they have on weekends now. If you plan to have more than 1 alcoholic drink and already plan to get something that's on the brunch menu, it seems like a good way to save a bit of money. read more

Oh man, what a disappointment. We love HardRock, and we go to any of them from around the world. We've been to this one a few years ago on another trip to Rome and everything was spectacular, this time around wasn't even close to our last visit. There was 3 of us in our group. Our server was okay, didn't see them much besides when we ordered our food and when we received our check. We started with the nachos, which was lacking flavor and more toppings, we all ordered burgers with fries that should have had bbq sauce on them. Lucky if there was a dime size amount on all 3 of our burgers. The burgers had no flavor , very bland. So bland that we all left more than half our burgers on the table. Actually the fries were the only thing that had flavor and that's pretty bad to say. Waste of money. In the Rock shop, customer service was great, and that's why I'm given them the extra star . Food was so-so quality. We arrived really late in the day based on being in Rome and sightseeing the whole day. Wntd a change from the constant Italian food we'd enjoyed over the week. Didn't seem like the server really truly cared about our table enough to come back and check on us adequately. Memorably awful meal. Since they were open and next to our hotel, we decided to grab a simple meal. Back in ye olde days, The Hard Rock had great burgers and salads. Not anymore. The server took forever and treated us like idiots - it was particularly offensive when he told us that we should leave a tip in cash (we travel all the time and know tipping is optional in Italy, but had Euros and planned to tip since it was a holiday). My fried shrimp was TERRIBLE, greasy and hard at the same time. I ate about 25%, but they didn't ask why. My friend ordered chicken tenders which were 50% breading and very dry. We shared a hot fudge sundae for dessert which was okay. Very commercial/industrial ice cream, whipped cream from a can. I spent the night taking antacids to counter the heartburn caused by the fried shrimp and regretting we walked into the place. Don't make the same mistake. If The Hard Rock is the only open restaurant, go to bed hungry. read more

Adriana was the best server! She not only talked to us making our visit the most personable in Rome, but she answered some questions we had about locality and the surrounding area. She was the kindest server on our trip and made us feel welcome in a whole different country. Food was amazing and yes, they have Togo boxes, so if you're like me and have WAY too big of eyes for my stomach you can take the leftovers for a late night snack for later. This establishment was very nice and had clean restrooms. My fried chicken sandwich was very thin and dry. Had a 10% coupon that I showed our original waiter and he said ok and that he would apply it to the ticket. When we ran out of coke we asked a lady waitress to please send us our waiter. She went and got another waitress which brought us more coke. When we got ready to leave we asked for our ticket. When she brought it she had not included the 10% discount. She said we had to show the discount coupon upon ordering. I told her we did but don't know where he went. He must have gotten off and left. The store clerk is nice enough to hold all of my chosen merchandized/clothing while I shop some more. The total bill for all my clothing and merchandized was $285.00. Carried here by patriotic Americans in search of comfort food, I tried to order the only Italian-seeming thing on the menu: the "local" burger. It was, in short, not very good. It just wasn't particularly flavorful. Given that and the side of freshly un-frozen fries, ketchup was probably the best flavor on the plate. Similarly, other members in my group were unimpressed. Its like any other Hard Rock Cafe, which I guess is saying something. The food is the same. The service was a tad slower, even though it wasn't busy, but you sit and wait because its what you came for. As usual it's outrageously priced! 10€ or more for ONE mixed drink that is made well but is low in alcohol. Just pass on those and go to a dive bar around the corner. I only go to these places after I had my fill with the local food and want something different. Also, because I am a rewards member and I collect their magnets. Otherwise, sitting outside in their glass room is nice but still loud and the service is slower. The 2nd time we went, we sat inside near the servers entrance and the service was still slow and forgetful. Also, the female desk agent had such an attitude. It was off-putting. However the male desk agent was quite nice and welcoming. If you go, be sure to talk to him. The positive is that when you check-in you get a free item from the Rock Shop which is their typical neoprene glasses bag. I received two (for each day I checked in) and it worked well to keep our sunglasses scratch free since it was so overcast in Rome. Also, avoid the nacho plate. Wanting to pick up a couple of Hard Rock pins and craving an American culinary change of pace, Diane and I enjoyed a burger dinner here followed by a classic dessert. I enjoyed an excellent, perfectly cooked 1/2 lb. medium-rare Hickory Bacon Cheeseburger with great crispy Onion Rings and upgraded Romano Parmesan dusted fries. Filled with the traditional burger trimmings of lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickle, this was one gargantuan burger. We finished on a sweet note with a shared huge Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae. Alas, the sundae was not very cold and did not contain much hot fudge, but had a surplus of Whipped Cream. Service was very fine by our friendly, English-speaking waitress. Ambiance was of course hard rock with piped in hard rock music. The place was hopping, with a continuous long line of diners seeking to be seated in the fully-packed restaurant fairly late at night, but our wait for a table lasted only about 20 minutes. Convenient kid friendly restsurant with great music and awesome service. We were greeted by Fabio and he greets his guests by asking where they are from. When he learned we were from Las Vegas he said he had been there and to say hello to Casey the next time we are in Hard Rock Vegas. Gemma was our waitress and was very freindly. Kids menu and crayons made it easy since I was dining sans hubby. I ordered the veggie burger however, it was a hamburger with grilled vegetables! It was good-I skipped the bun and had a side salad with dressing to dip so it was tasty. Happy Thanksgiving from Rome! As an American on holiday during a holiday you can sometimes be at a loss for where to have your traditional meal. With some early research we reserved at the Hard Rock Café and I am so glad we did! This was a specialty dinner serving plated turkey and all the fixings - they even came up with a vegetarian meal for my daughter! The service was amazing and the staff was super friendly! They brought in a gospel choir as entertainment as well! I am being nice with two stars because my son seemed to enjoy his food (salmon). There needs to be more consistency between the Hard Rocks. I ordered my favorite drink, the strawberry basil lemonade. There were pieces of strawberry all through it, and I kept sucking them up through the straw. I then started sipping, and that wasn't fun, either. I haven't been to a Hard Rock to eat in like forever. I usually just buy a souvenir. We were hot and needed a beer and Hard Rick was there. It was a great place to stop. Hard Rock in Rome. I'm getting a bit old for some of the music, but I also remember quite a bit of it. We had some water to rehydrate and beer to just celebrate being alive and in Rome. We tried a couple of appetizers and people watched. This is the best thing to do in any country. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It was a nice break from the heat. Went here on a Friday right around noon, walked right into a table. Service was not fast but our server, Erica, took our order and food was out fairly quickly. We had been running around all week, so slowing down and taking a moment to enjoy a break was nice. I had the Chicken Caesar salad, it was good but nothing spectacular my table mate had the Club sandwich which he said was good and very filling. Don't go here if you are looking for a quick bite- HRC is not only a restaurant but an experience so it takes time. Free refills on sodas is a plus in a city as expensive as Rome, but the overall cost of the HRC is high so expect to pay about €25 or more per person to eat here. Music is good, atmosphere is as expected from HRC. If you are in the mood for something American in a city full of Italian head here. read more

Also for the memoribilia, I spotted John Lennon's trench coat, an Elvis Presley flashy brown vest, and also this really colorful patchwork suit worn by Jimi Hendrix - honestly worth going and checking it out! We decided to go the Hard Rock Cafe on our last night in Rome. We were burned out on pasta and pizza so we came here. We made a reservation because we heard this place is very busy. We were seated right away. Because the place was so busy, our waiter took awhile to get to us. When he did get to us, he was incredibly friendly and helpful. We each ordered a bottle of water. 2 of us got the nachos and 1 got the Mac and cheese. Our food cane out fast! My nachos were really good! I will say they needed more cheese though. Wow, Hard Rock Cafes really get the good locations don't they? They are located on the Via Vittorio Veneto, more commonly known as Via Veneto, which is one of the famous streets in Rome. The Via Veneto is where "La Dolce Vita" was filmed and it's similar to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. I don't usually shop in the upscale shopping districts, but I knew Hard Rock Cafe's prices wouldn't be too crazy. This was the third Hard Rock Cafe I'd ever been to, so I'm not one of those people that have to hunt down these in every city I go to collect T-shirts. Really, I'm not. I was on a mission to get my teenager a T-shirt since his 7th grade class was studying Rome at the time. I ran in, found a Hard Rock Cafe Roma T-shirt for 20.95 euros and ran out in about 15 minutes. The little shop was jam packed full of people, but if you know what you want just grab it, pay and go. Mission complete! read more

Hard Rock cafe is a classic. Being in Rome makes me a tourist. However I normally only eat food specific to the region I am visiting. But since the early 80s I have enjoyed stopping at a hard rock.
