OMFG! We were looking for something special to celebrate our wedding anniversary and Harbour Cruises delivered! Booking a sunset dinner cruise online was easy. We also found the ship easily. The ship was roomy and gorgeous! Tables were ready for us and lovely! We went up top for a bit while a delicious dinner buffet was prepared. All of it was fresh and delicious. I stuffed myself so much I'm surprised I didn't roll off the deck. Ha! Service was prompt and courteous. This a well-appointed cruise. We were very comfortable. The view was spectacular! We really lucked out. We went in mid-May when Vancouver was experiencing summer like temperatures. Dinner was served buffet style and we got in line a few tables at a time. Everyone was chill and gracious. There was also a dessert table. We had a wonderful time and will do it again next time we go to Vancouver. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary Harbour Cruises!

I've been on a couple Harbour Cruises this being the only one is Canada and it was pretty much on par with what I expected. The narrator is upbeat but the information is boring we don't need to know who owns what boat maybe just stick to the history of the city and the flora and fauna. There is plenty of seating it's an old boat and could do with some new furniture I think they have the same stuff that came with the boat not very comfortable at all but they sell ya booze to make up for it so bonus there. It was worth the time and money was a great reprieve from all the walking we had done that day. Would love to go on one of their longer tours.

Absolutely amazing. I bought tickets for my boyfriend and me to celebrate his birthday and we had the best time ever! It was only an hour but we learned loads through the narration. All the staff were incredibly nice and friendly too. My favourite part was seeing the harbour seals and ther pups! If I could give 6 stars I would!

While looking for things to do in Vancouver, we stumbled upon a Groupon deal for the Harbour Tour Cruise. It included a one-hour cruise around the harbour for two for $27 CAD. We arrived the day of about an hour before the next cruise to grab our tickets down at the deck. Boarding was quick and easy as we were soon off into the waters. Although the skyline was nice, it was the least appealing one I've seen yet. Not even halfway through, we were already bored and just sitting inside sipping on a couple cans of beer that we purchased onboard. If we didn't have the Groupon, this would not have been worth it at all. It was honestly something to do, but would definitely pass if we could do it again.

We had perfect weather for our harbor cruise. Price was right. We got seats upstairs so we had really good views. It was however hard to hear the guide from upstairs. Had to move closer to the speaker. It was a nicely informative cruise. Would highly recommend for anyone visiting.

Silver Falls, Indian Arm Lunch Cruise

We were visiting Vancouver for a few days and decided on the 4-hour boat luncheon cruise, which was perfect when you don't have 1-2 days to island hop, but want more than a 1 hour quick tour. After booking: The company was very accommodating of my food allergy, and supplied me with a very detailed menu so I knew what I could and couldn't have way before our trip date. It was really nice to not have to ask 100 questions while on the cruise, I kept the menu PDF handy on my phone :) Day of cruise: The office was easy to find and located right off of a marked parking lot by the Westin hotel. The office staff was very kind and kept our large suitcases in their space while we sailed. We were shown to our reserved table when we boarded and they immediately had coffee & tea service. The boat was a bit older, but they took great care of it and the staff was very attentive. They sail rain or shine (it was raining pretty good on our trip date) so we sat inside the boat for the first hour while we left the harbor, it was very relaxing! They also have a bar so we grabbed drinks before lunch service. We were pleasantly surprised with the lunch! Everything was cooked very well with a lot of flavor. About an hour in, the rain got really light and (being from smoggy Los Angeles) my husband and I stood on the outside deck to just take it all in... I could have looked at the bright green trees all day! The turn-around point is at an incredible waterfall (Silver Falls) and it's kind of insane how close the Captain is able to get the large boat... you could have hopped right off onto land (but don't because there's giant jellyfish in the water that you can see). Because of the rain the waterfall was gushing and it made the entire trip perfect. We stayed out on the deck the entire time back (alone for most of the time, how people could be inside with the scenery I don't know!!). Pro tip: if you didn't over serve yourself at the bar on the cruise... grab a happy hour drink at Lift a few feet from cruise offices... amazing views of the marina (we didn't want to leave).

This was the first time on this kind of cruise and for the price it was worth it. This was a short cruise around the sound of Vancouver BC and it has lots of history for this cruise. Overall it ok.

It's worth every penny , for about $80 you get dinner and a cruise and you get to see vancouver from the sea, Me and the wife did this in our anniversary last aug. I'll defiantly do that again :)

Take a 2 1/2 hour leisurely cruise through one of the most beautiful cities in the Northwest-- Vancouver. You'll sail along the downtown skyline, seeing the mountains behind the North Shore, West Vancouver's shoreline, and more. As you take in the city's sights, you'll hear live, onboard music and dine on delicious West Coast-themed cuisine. Top off your evening with a spectacular Vancouver sunset! It was Amazing night ........

At 1:45pm, after we have planned our whole day around the excursion and checked out of the hotel in preparation of this tour, Sea Vancouver office called and said they are cancelling my tour because they "need a minimum of 4 people and only 3 people booked". I explained that we are leaving the city that day, and we planned our whole day around this, and if there is anything they can do. It is unreasonable to only notify me 75 minutes prior to departure time - we were already on the way to the departure point! The only thing they said was that they will refund me in full (I'd better hope so since you cancelled it with incredibly short notice!) I understand that it may not be economical to operate a tour based on fixed cost, but this was NOT written anywhere when I booked it on the official website, but they were happy to take my money when I booked. The confirmation email stated "We reserve the right to delay or cancel a departure for events beyond our control (e.g. adverse weather conditions, technical or mechanical issues, etc.)" -- well, operating a boat when there are "only" 3 paying customers is definitely in their control, they just choose to screw over their customers. This has put a really sour taste on my trip to Vancouver. I would encourage everybody to stay away.

This was our first time in Vancouver, and whats not a better way to experience it than by taking a boat tour! We honestly planned this boat tour super last minute, so we called a few places, but they were all closed. Fortunately, Sea Vancouver still had tours going out until 7pm which was the last one! The lobby is located in the Westin hotel and the ride is 90 minutes long, which takes you all around the harbor of Vancouver to the English Bay! There was so much to see at the waterfront and we even saw a few dolphins along the ride! We were hoping for orcas too but maybe next time haha. Overall the boat tour was absolutely amazing! Terry our captain, made the experience super educational a fun! Love that guy! Thanks Cap! And thank you Sea Vancouver!

It shocked me actually that Marcus wanted to come with. He didn't usually like to lift his sorry butt off the couch on a Sunday, complaining usually of his torrid night past which consisted mainly of hard cheezies and plenty of X-File repeats on DVD. "They're called reruns," he told me as we walked up the plank to the main deck of the Hornblower - a three deck yacht that was immaculately clean emitting a sense of pride that only the great ocean could demand. "Besides," Marcus threw in. "I couldn't let you go alone." Inside my head, I thanked him. I didn't understand why my friends would turn down a chance to ride False Creek, through the heart of downtown Vancouver, past the business district and take in the beautiful sight that is the sails of Canada Place. Usually, I'd have to draw straws to see who went... but not today. There was only Marcus left standing. In the dining room, the tables were set with matching table cloths and napkins, and at the end of the room, there was a full bar for cocktails and non alky's. On the walls, pictures of famous ships and other boat paraphernalia brought a feeling of comfort and nostalgia, even though I'd never been on the boat before. Upstairs, Marcus excused himself and instinctively found his way into the men's washroom, patting his stomach and announcing to the rest of the crowd that he "had to create some space for dinner". I cringed. They all walked away disgusted. The Japanese could hear the toilet flush from downtown Tokyo and they yelled "Tsunami!" as Marcus bailed out of the loo. "Now I feel like a man," he said (only he was truly serious) "Let's go see the boat". The second deck of the Hornblower wrapped around the entire length of the ship. There were chairs and tables scattered all around from bow to stern. Pockets of people sat with martini glasses and beer steins, taking in the view of Coal Harbour. The blue sky above displayed a run of overcast, but that eliminated the sweltering heat that pounded behind the clouds. It was a perfect day for a cruise. The Hornblower DJ began the evening with light Caribbean music, then as the time passed, got into newer music and old time rock and roll. The dinner was a choice cut of prime rib, roasted herb potatoes, fresh veggies, French bread and a variety of salads. Overall, the presentation was great and the food was tasty. After dinner, that's when the party really got started. Marcus downed three quick tequilas from the bar and scooted upstairs. I cringed again, wondering if I would be wiping Marcus up off the floor by the end of the trip. I downed my red wine and chased after him. Upstairs, the DJ had most of the people dancing in mere minutes. Playing music from the disco era, to the eighties, to old time rock and roll - he didn't stop once. He was unique in the sense that he pulled out costumes and masks for himself and the dancers to wear. People loved it! They put on the Village People hats and did the YMCA! I'd never seen a group of people have such a good time in a short amount of time. He even had Marcus dancing. During the song Man, I Feel Like A Woman by Shania Twain, the DJ put a feather boa around Marcus's neck and dressed him up like a woman, wig and all! Marcus saw me watching from the railing and strolled over to me... more like sauntered seductively. "Dude," he slurred. "I totally need some bazookas!" He raised both his hands to his chest and squeezed. For the first time in a while, I saw my friend smile. By the end of the trip, the sun had set and the beautiful lights of downtown Vancouver appeared. The BMO building stood tall on the shore. The RBC building with the one solid green laser light that shot high into the night sky. Stanley Park on one side, the North Vancouver Quay on the other. The sails of Canada Place were lit up like the Hollywood sign and clear as day. There is no better view of the city than from the deck of the Hornblower. I felt Marcus slump down beside me against the rail. He reeked of tequila and cheap perfume."I think I got a date," he slurred and turned halfway around. I turned and saw him wave to a red hair lady about fifty years of age, wrapped in one of the DJ's boas. She must have outweighed Marcus by at least a hundred pounds, but she was happy... and apparently so was he. "Jackpot!" He made a motion in the air like he was pulling on the limb of a one armed bandit. "So you had a good time," I said. "Ooooh yeah," he smirked. "I'm glad I told everyone that the cruise was on the Fraser River... not False Creek." I was angry only for a second. He was my best friend after all, and if anyone needed to have the night of their life aboard a beautiful yacht, it was Marcus.

It's pretty hard to tell which direction the ferry is going next though unless you're very familiar with the routes, so make sure you ask the driver just in case. I find that the ones I've interacted with all ask you where you're going before letting you on, so at least I haven't taken the wrong boat yet. They have a zone system for ticketing and at first it was a bit confusing for which zone ticket was needed to go where. But they have nice maps at each stop so it wasn't too hard to decipher after awhile. The boat drivers were also pretty nice and were happy to answer questions about tickets. I took the boats during the Big Picnic event at David Lam park. There were other people on the boat but it was not crowded at all. Boats also came all the time and so we didn't have to wait much before ours came. The boat doors were left open when I rode the boats and so it was really nice to be able to take pictures and videos without obstruction from the windows or clear screens. The creek is relatively calm most of the time and the rides are short, so most people probably won't get sea sick.
