In our family visit to Vancouver, we were able to incorporate a small boat ride on the Aquabus system, so my two granddaughters were really happy! The ferry boat took us from the Granville Island Public Market area across Vancouver Harbour and dropped us off at David Lam Park. It only cost $4.50 per person, but our granddaughters were free as they were between 0 and 3 years old! The captain of the ship was a great boat driver, and the older man who was the assistant was also a great helper as well. I highly recommend all the kids to take a ride for sure. If your child gets scared or not feeling well, they will turn back around really quick if needed. I will definitely use the Aquabus again in the near future!!!

A great way to see Vancouver! Easy on and off. Boats show up often. Friendly drivers.

The Aquabus is a ferry boat - A fun, quick, and affordable method of transportation!  How it works: Tell the worker where you're trying to go. Buy tickets, aka Aquabucks. Board the Aquabus. Interact with the bubbly, sociable workers. Enjoy the views and ride. Give the appropriate amount of tickets to the ferry-person. Hop off at your destination! Possible destinations: Hornby, Granville Island, David Lam Park, Stamps Landing, Spyglass Place, Yaletown, Plaza of Nations, and The Village

    The fast line .

Easy to locate along this waterway. I believe 8 stops included to see and stop at various points. One way . Round trip or all day passes that can be paid while on the aqua bus. Friendly operators that provide smooth rides . Highly doubt it can even cause sea sickness. Thank u to the young staff

We just returned from a cruise to Alaska and we couldn't make the early flight so we had most of the day to sightsee. We had never taken a Aquabus but we decided to hop on and tour around Granville. What a great way to see around the city. It a nice day with a light breeze and Vancouver is so pretty and the price is really cheap. I can't imagine why we never did this before. It was great fun and a wonderful way to see the city. I highly recommend this the next time you are in Vancouver.

This was my favorite use of transportation in Vancouver! I thought at first ehhh, it's just boat, but I loved it!!! It's a wonderful way to see downtown Vancouver. The sites are amazing throughout the entire journey! I used this to go to Granville island, but I ended using it was all of my travels for that day. It isn't super necessary if you just want to stay on the main side of downtown Vancouver because it's a pretty small area and you can walk all of it. Side note: I made the mistake of getting on the wrong boat because some of the Aquabus stops are shared with other companies, but the drivers were super nice and understanding because we were all going to the same stop. Watch out for what boat to take.

    There it is. The Aquabus.

I can't think of a more convenient and affordable way to get around Vancouver. They have lots of stops and my favorite one was Granville Island. The others were mostly good too. It is such a convenient way to get around and we probably would not have seen as many sites without the Aquabus. This is a must see destination. The Aquabus Captains were all friendly and helpful. One of them was hilarious. They all told some interesting stories. The Aquabus stops are very convenient to get to once you are at your destination. I really enjoyed the scenic views on the waterway. The breeze was so nice and relaxing after all the walking in Vancouver. The only negative is we had to wait longer than expected at a couple stops. Much longer than expected at one stop but we chatted with some fellow passengers so it wasn't too bad. Overall, it was a wonderful experience.

Aquabus is a great option to get from Vancouver to Granville Island. We were in town for the day & our hotel desk recommended this to us. It was $6 for a round trip ticket & the trip took about 5 minutes each way. The little boats are cute & colorful, you can see them cruising up and down the waterway picking up customers & dropping them off. We boarded at the Hornby Station and we had less than a 5 minute wait.....(don't know if that was just plain luck or if they just come really frequently.) It was super quick & easy to board, and they collect payment, cash or credit, once you're on board. There are beautiful views all around and the boats are covered in case of inclement weather. Our return voyage was just as smooth; however there were only 3 or 4 chairs so we had to stand. (Fine since it was a 5 minute trip.). I would highly recommend Aquabus. It was a fun and inexpensive way to see a little more of Vancouver.

We bought our tickets at the Capital City Station on Douglas Street in Victoria, and Sandy was absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful, and patient. She even got us seats for October 13, 2025, which was Thanksgiving. Every company needs a Sandy, she deserves 5 stars for her service. Once we boarded the bus, things went downhill. Our driver, James wasn't very approachable. His responses were short, and he came across as a bit grouchy. It was a holiday, so we understand, but as first-time passengers, we found his instructions unclear and he seems to not welcome questions. When the ferry docked at Tsawwassen, we didn't hear it was time to reboard the bus to continue to downtown Vancouver. We missed the announcement and ended up being left behind, but our checked bags and personal items were still in the bus to Vancouver. Thankfully, the staff at Tsawwassen terminal were great. They guided us, called ahead to Pacific Station BC Ferries, and made sure we could retrieve our bags. When we finally reunited with the bus, James didn't seem particularly concerned or empathetic, which made an already stressful situation feel worse. We blame ourselves for missing the bus. But for future improvements, clearer announcements and louder overhead speakers would help first-time travelers. Even a quick name call for missing passengers would go a long way.

I just trusted my GPS to find a ferry, but didn't check to make sure that it went to Victoria. Shucks! It happened to be a terminal for cruise ships only. No cars allowed on the ships either! Uhg! Passengers only! (We're thought that we could Uber around Victoria without the car since could not take the car with us.) Fortunately security and customs wasn't to busy airport. They sell food on board but ran out before I checked with them to purchase. The positives, they have good rates for Seniors, multiple trips throughout day, walking distance from the Skytrain. The seats are comfortable. We were lagging behind the group that booked this tour but we ended up with the best seats on the plane - the very back jump seats. We had our own private window and didn't have to squish together in one seat. They have two seats together, and one seat options but they place you as they see fit. I believe there are only 13 seats on this particular plane. I loved how the plane flew low enough to see details on the ground. We could see everything! I was on the lookout for whales because I know I could have seen them clearly from our elevation, but I wasn't lucky enough to spot any. It was a cool ride nonetheless. Next time I would book the longer tour. This one was only 1/2 hour long. I even got to sit in the front seat right next to the pilot while coming back to Vancouver from Powell River - the pilot even took the time to chat with me while he was flying the plane over where I was from, how my day was going, and so on. A really nice touch that made my trip to BC more special. The views are absolutely stunning no matter where you fly on Harbour Air. Make sure to take pictures - LOTS of them - as if you are a visitor here, this will almost certainly be one of your only seaplane flights you will have ever taken during your lifetime. Be mindful that the planes can get pretty loud, so if this bothers you, you can use earplugs that they provide in the seat packet in front of you. It's natural to feel nervous over taking a seaplane versus a regular flight, and believe me, I was slightly nervous at first too, but the moment we lifted off from the water and landed on it too, I felt nothing but pure joy.
