Super convenient locations and beautiful vessels. Saved us a ton of time! Highly recommend for trips between Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

BC Ferries provides essential passenger and vehicle ferry service across coastal British Columbia,…read moreand overall, it's a reliable way to travel. We bought our tickets at the Capital City Station on Douglas Street in Victoria, and Sandy was absolutely wonderful, friendly, helpful, and patient. She even got us seats for October 13, 2025, which was Thanksgiving. Every company needs a Sandy, she deserves 5 stars for her service. Once we boarded the bus, things went downhill. Our driver, James wasn't very approachable. His responses were short, and he came across as a bit grouchy. It was a holiday, so we understand, but as first-time passengers, we found his instructions unclear and he seems to not welcome questions. When the ferry docked at Tsawwassen, we didn't hear it was time to reboard the bus to continue to downtown Vancouver. We missed the announcement and ended up being left behind, but our checked bags and personal items were still in the bus to Vancouver. Thankfully, the staff at Tsawwassen terminal were great. They guided us, called ahead to Pacific Station BC Ferries, and made sure we could retrieve our bags. When we finally reunited with the bus, James didn't seem particularly concerned or empathetic, which made an already stressful situation feel worse. We blame ourselves for missing the bus. But for future improvements, clearer announcements and louder overhead speakers would help first-time travelers. Even a quick name call for missing passengers would go a long way.

Such a cool experience. This was my first time on a car ferry and we had a great experience. We…read morebooked our tickets online in advance (cheaper). When you arrive the check in process is smooth- you pull through a kiosk then wait in line in your car to board the boat. Once on the boat you can hang out in your car, sit inside by a window, visit one of their many dining options or my personal favorite hang out on the upper deck. We booked morning options so it was fun to watch the sun rise (with a coffee from the dining area). We also saw a few whales in the distance. Definitely recommend taking the ferry to visit Vancouver Island if you're visiting the area

Well, we went on our first seaplane ride yesterday, and chose Harbour Air through the Viator app…read more What an absolute blast! We were lagging behind the group that booked this tour but we ended up with the best seats on the plane - the very back jump seats. We had our own private window and didn't have to squish together in one seat. They have two seats together, and one seat options but they place you as they see fit. I believe there are only 13 seats on this particular plane. I loved how the plane flew low enough to see details on the ground. We could see everything! I was on the lookout for whales because I know I could have seen them clearly from our elevation, but I wasn't lucky enough to spot any. It was a cool ride nonetheless. Next time I would book the longer tour. This one was only 1/2 hour long. The one thing I wish they would do is give some commentary about what we were actually seeing, describing the particular sights etc. but overall a fantastic experience.

On both occasions, the flights were on time, and safety is taken very seriously where make all passengers wear a flotation device while onboard. I even got to sit in the front seat right next to the pilot while coming back to Vancouver from Powell River - the pilot even took the time to chat with me while he was flying the plane over where I was from, how my day was going, and so on. A really nice touch that made my trip to BC more special. The views are absolutely stunning no matter where you fly on Harbour Air. Make sure to take pictures - LOTS of them - as if you are a visitor here, this will almost certainly be one of your only seaplane flights you will have ever taken during your lifetime. Be mindful that the planes can get pretty loud, so if this bothers you, you can use earplugs that they provide in the seat packet in front of you. It's natural to feel nervous over taking a seaplane versus a regular flight, and believe me, I was slightly nervous at first too, but the moment we lifted off from the water and landed on it too, I felt nothing but pure joy. Harbour Air is the way to go!
