Very bad business practice…read more We booked a 3pm tour. It was the last day that we are in Vancouver, we would be flying home that night. At 1:45pm, after we have planned our whole day around the excursion and checked out of the hotel in preparation of this tour, Sea Vancouver office called and said they are cancelling my tour because they "need a minimum of 4 people and only 3 people booked". I explained that we are leaving the city that day, and we planned our whole day around this, and if there is anything they can do. It is unreasonable to only notify me 75 minutes prior to departure time - we were already on the way to the departure point! The only thing they said was that they will refund me in full (I'd better hope so since you cancelled it with incredibly short notice!) I understand that it may not be economical to operate a tour based on fixed cost, but this was NOT written anywhere when I booked it on the official website, but they were happy to take my money when I booked. The confirmation email stated "We reserve the right to delay or cancel a departure for events beyond our control (e.g. adverse weather conditions, technical or mechanical issues, etc.)" -- well, operating a boat when there are "only" 3 paying customers is definitely in their control, they just choose to screw over their customers. This has put a really sour taste on my trip to Vancouver. I would encourage everybody to stay away.

We honestly planned this boat tour super last minute, so we called a few places, but they were all closed. Fortunately, Sea Vancouver still had tours going out until 7pm which was the last one! The lobby is located in the Westin hotel and the ride is 90 minutes long, which takes you all around the harbor of Vancouver to the English Bay! There was so much to see at the waterfront and we even saw a few dolphins along the ride! We were hoping for orcas too but maybe next time haha. Overall the boat tour was absolutely amazing! Unreliable. Sail at your own risk!…read more Harbour Cruises of Vancouver completely failed to deliver on the promise of their Indian Arm cruise. They claimed smoke in the engine room and limped back to port before we even turned into the Arm. Other reviews have reported unexplained itinerary changes that eliminated the main part of the trip. One has to wonder if they don't go up the Arm simply to save money when it's not fully booked or if their boats are that unreliable. While I understand mechanical issues, their compensation policy was completely inadequate. They offered a free drink on board and a coupon for 15% off a future cruise. Anyone booking on the internet can get a 20% discount off any cruise! After much back and forth they finally offered a 20% refund. The final price after this discount was approximately double the price of a narrated harbor tour. We received an un-narrated tour of the container port instead of a tour of the natural environment, which is what we were promised. We feel cheated by Harbour Cruises of Vancouver. Sail at your own risk!

Based on this, I made my reso on Jan 3, but decided to go in a different direction on Jan 11. They are quick to charge your card the full amount, but have not responded to 3 voicemails, four emails, and one FB message. I suspect they are not staffing the communication lines because the season doesn't open until May, but they SHOULD NOT CHARGE CARDS if the office isn't open. This is misrepresenting the cancellation policy. It's a significant sum of money to be out, and I do not wish to wait until May. I am opening a credit card dispute, but this is hugely aggravating and an inconvenience.

I booked a charter for winter fishing on November 23, 2017 and had an awesome time with Kevin!…read more Kevin successfully guided my two boys (8 and 10-years old) and I to 3 delicious chinook salmon, 10 dozen spot prawns and over a dozen crabs in about 7.5 hours on the water. Kevin is dialed into where the fish, prawns, and crab are located and provided key knowledge on where to set traps, how to get bit and the proper way to fight and land the fish. My boys and I have spent countless hours on the water bass fishing so we know how this fishing game is played. We went knowing that there is always a good chance that you may not catch anything. Ive learned after this experience, that Kevin has the knowledge to increase your chances of success. From the beginning of our trip, Kevin was confident that we were going to catch fish. Even after a slow start, Kevin stated that we were going to catch fish and we would stay as long as it takes to do so. We ultimately caught 3 nice salmon and the shrimp and crab pots were full! Kevin was great with kids and got them involved in setting and picking up our filled traps. He cleaned and filleted our fish, cleaned the crab and shrimp which made an awesome Thanksgiving feast. I highly recommend Kevin as a salmon fishing guide and thank him for a trip that my sons and I will never forget.

Perfect night for a party! We had a nice buffet style dinner with Salmon, Stuffed Peppers with Quinoa, Sauteed Veggies and salads. (Most of the attendees are vegetarians), Cash Bar on board and free soft drinks for non drinkers. We finish with fruit, dessert and coffee/tea. The captain took us on a nice sunset cruise around Vancouver, then closer to the start of fireworks, he slowly move the yacht around so we can get the best view without any obstructions from other boats. The perspective of the fireworks from the water is incredible. It was a great experience and we will cruise with them again.
