Here's a hidden gem of the BC Vancouver area nestled in Horseshoe Bay. This place offers an exuberant escape called the Sea Safari Eco Tour. This tour takes you quickly around the Georgia Strait and slows down at different times to discover many seals and birds including a couple Bald Eagles!! Wow!! We also saw many islands of various sizes and get a glimpse of several multi-million Dollar homes with incredible views. Before you leave the harbor, you'll put on a jail looking Orange jumpsuit which keeps you warm and doubles as a life preserver too. Feels like a space suit when you put it on. Next you'll receive some clear glasses too. You'll need those when the water splashes at different times in your direction. The closer you Sir to the front, the more water and jumpy motion you'll receive. We decided to sit several rows back to reduce the chance of activating old back pains. Josh our guide was very informative especially since he's studying marine biology. He had a keen eye to spot everything including those Bald Eagles I mentioned earlier. He showed us unique locations like Lions Peak and a home that had a Batman like bat cave.

Came here for some speedboating action. Parking was decent, and the place was very easy to find. The staff were very friendly and efficient. They answered all our questions. My only suggestion is that they may want to go over the safety bit a bit more clearly, or possibly inside a quiet room instead of on the dock, because half my friends didn't even pay attention, which did make me a bit edgy in case something did happen on our trip. The boat itself was pretty decent, but a bit slow at only 60hp This was noticeable when you went full throttle in the ocean. The PFDs were clean and didn't smell like seawater or rotting flotsam. Overall one of the better places to hit up for boating fun, though Granville Island is also quite decent. This one is farther out of the way, but you can hit up the nearby islands and other good stuff. Recommended.

We took our son for a safari tour and he loved it! The views were stunning and the speed was perfect! I wish the captain would make the ride a bit more frisky rather than just going straight for majority of the trip - which made me take a nap but overall it's a fun tour

Did the 2 hour Sea Safari and loved it! The staff were great, friendly and knowledgeable. I been living on the North Shore forever but have never seen the Howe Sound up close like this. We got to see a bird sanctuary, a family of seals and a bald eagle couple (Romeo and Juliet) So beautiful. Recommend this for the whole family, group of friends or on a lil romantic outdoorsy day-date ;)

They claimed smoke in the engine room and limped back to port before we even turned into the Arm. Other reviews have reported unexplained itinerary changes that eliminated the main part of the trip. One has to wonder if they don't go up the Arm simply to save money when it's not fully booked or if their boats are that unreliable. While I understand mechanical issues, their compensation policy was completely inadequate. They offered a free drink on board and a coupon for 15% off a future cruise. Anyone booking on the internet can get a 20% discount off any cruise! After much back and forth they finally offered a 20% refund. The final price after this discount was approximately double the price of a narrated harbor tour. We received an un-narrated tour of the container port instead of a tour of the natural environment, which is what we were promised. We feel cheated by Harbour Cruises of Vancouver. Very bad business practice…read more We booked a 3pm tour. It was the last day that we are in Vancouver, we would be flying home that night. At 1:45pm, after we have planned our whole day around the excursion and checked out of the hotel in preparation of this tour, Sea Vancouver office called and said they are cancelling my tour because they "need a minimum of 4 people and only 3 people booked". I explained that we are leaving the city that day, and we planned our whole day around this, and if there is anything they can do. It is unreasonable to only notify me 75 minutes prior to departure time - we were already on the way to the departure point! The only thing they said was that they will refund me in full (I'd better hope so since you cancelled it with incredibly short notice!) I understand that it may not be economical to operate a tour based on fixed cost, but this was NOT written anywhere when I booked it on the official website, but they were happy to take my money when I booked. The confirmation email stated "We reserve the right to delay or cancel a departure for events beyond our control (e.g. adverse weather conditions, technical or mechanical issues, etc.)" -- well, operating a boat when there are "only" 3 paying customers is definitely in their control, they just choose to screw over their customers. This has put a really sour taste on my trip to Vancouver. I would encourage everybody to stay away.

This was our first time in Vancouver, and whats not a better way to experience it than by taking a boat tour! We honestly planned this boat tour super last minute, so we called a few places, but they were all closed. Fortunately, Sea Vancouver still had tours going out until 7pm which was the last one! The lobby is located in the Westin hotel and the ride is 90 minutes long, which takes you all around the harbor of Vancouver to the English Bay! There was so much to see at the waterfront and we even saw a few dolphins along the ride! We were hoping for orcas too but maybe next time haha. Overall the boat tour was absolutely amazing! Terry our captain, made the experience super educational a fun! Love that guy! Thanks Cap! And thank you Sea Vancouver!

My mind is still reeling from all that we saw. We followed a gathering of 19 orcas for more than an hour. Exceeded every bucket list dream I ever had, for seeing these animals! Simon is very, very knowledgeable; he also collects data for Canada Fisheries, so he knew the pods and individuals we were watching. And that wasn't all. We were guided to view a Humpback whale, 2 kinds of sea lion, seals, bald eagles, and even an island which had been stocked as an exotic game preserve, and still has wild animals from other parts of the world roaming around it. There were only 9 people, plus the skipper, so everybody had a great view of everything. And the boats are really fast, so they can go quite a distance in the search for those ever-moving orcas. An experience of a lifetime...even if (like me) you've taken many other whale-watching excursions.

Keep your phone handy as you will see all sorts of wildlife along the way, seals, eagles, eagle nests, then the killer whales.
