Unreliable. Sail at your own risk!…read more Harbour Cruises of Vancouver completely failed to deliver on the promise of their Indian Arm cruise. They claimed smoke in the engine room and limped back to port before we even turned into the Arm. Other reviews have reported unexplained itinerary changes that eliminated the main part of the trip. One has to wonder if they don't go up the Arm simply to save money when it's not fully booked or if their boats are that unreliable. While I understand mechanical issues, their compensation policy was completely inadequate. They offered a free drink on board and a coupon for 15% off a future cruise. Anyone booking on the internet can get a 20% discount off any cruise! After much back and forth they finally offered a 20% refund. The final price after this discount was approximately double the price of a narrated harbor tour. We received an un-narrated tour of the container port instead of a tour of the natural environment, which is what we were promised. We feel cheated by Harbour Cruises of Vancouver. Sail at your own risk!

This was our first time in Vancouver, and whats not a better way to experience it than by taking a boat tour! We honestly planned this boat tour super last minute, so we called a few places, but they were all closed. Fortunately, Sea Vancouver still had tours going out until 7pm which was the last one! The lobby is located in the Westin hotel and the ride is 90 minutes long, which takes you all around the harbor of Vancouver to the English Bay! There was so much to see at the waterfront and we even saw a few dolphins along the ride! We were hoping for orcas too but maybe next time haha. Overall the boat tour was absolutely amazing! Terry our captain, made the experience super educational a fun! Love that guy! Thanks Cap! And thank you Sea Vancouver!

Very bad business practice…read more We booked a 3pm tour. It was the last day that we are in Vancouver, we would be flying home that night. At 1:45pm, after we have planned our whole day around the excursion and checked out of the hotel in preparation of this tour, Sea Vancouver office called and said they are cancelling my tour because they "need a minimum of 4 people and only 3 people booked". I explained that we are leaving the city that day, and we planned our whole day around this, and if there is anything they can do. It is unreasonable to only notify me 75 minutes prior to departure time - we were already on the way to the departure point! The only thing they said was that they will refund me in full (I'd better hope so since you cancelled it with incredibly short notice!) I understand that it may not be economical to operate a tour based on fixed cost, but this was NOT written anywhere when I booked it on the official website, but they were happy to take my money when I booked. The confirmation email stated "We reserve the right to delay or cancel a departure for events beyond our control (e.g. adverse weather conditions, technical or mechanical issues, etc.)" -- well, operating a boat when there are "only" 3 paying customers is definitely in their control, they just choose to screw over their customers. This has put a really sour taste on my trip to Vancouver. I would encourage everybody to stay away.

I always thought I would do a Prince of Whales tour in Victoria because I was born there and it's…read moresuch a famous thing to do, but I ended up doing it from Granville Island instead and it was just as exciting as I imagined it would be. Killer whales are one of my favourite animals, so seeing them out in the wild was honestly surreal. There is something completely different about seeing these magnificent animals in their natural environment rather than in captivity. We were lucky enough to see a mama and baby, which made the experience even more special. Knowing that these whales are individually identified, numbered and researched by scientists makes seeing them even more fascinating. I could honestly spend all day out on the water watching them. The boat ride itself is also part of the fun. You're out in the middle of the Salish Sea and it is just so peaceful waiting to see what comes up. They take photos during the tour and send them afterward is a great bonus! The price could be a bit less but it's still an experience I'd recommend.

FYI ... there is A LOT of rocking motion on this adventure. The cruise itself was fine and it was fun to look at all the houses and islands and ships along the way. We did see some sea lions and a bald eagle from a distance. I would recommend it.

I would never rent from this boat company again, and suggest no one else does either. DO not…read moree-transfer as your money will not be returned. I rented the Meridian 441 on July 19, 2020. I paid $1,000 deposit for gas, I was asked to e-transfer to Juan He. I spent a total of $120 gas on the yacht. Juan He is not returning my calls, and is not returning my $880. I had a horrible experience with Juan He. My car broke down the day I organized to pay cash deposit to Juan He, after that she was very rude and frustrated with me. I let her know that my car broke down, and my boyfriend was having second thoughts about the yacht due to Covid-19 and I would let her know as soon as I did about the yacht booking. I called back about 4 days later to book the yacht, she was still rude and stated that I had to pay full price of $3,808 in order to book the yacht. I e-transferred $1,904, and she threatened to cancel the booking and return my money. I asked if I could pay $1,904 deposit and pay the rest on the day of, and she angrily agreed. On July 19, she demanded a $1,904 e-transfer, or the yacht would not leave the Richmond dock to pick us up in False Creek. She also demanded a $1,000 e-transfer to pre-pay for gas. I paid, as she said she would cancel the charter if I did not. We reached False Creek, we were late for the charter understanding it would be going into our own time. We got on the boat and one bathroom did not work. We were promised 2 bathrooms. The other bathroom stopped working within an hour into the charter. We had no bathroom to use for the rest of the charter. Also, while on the yacht, the captain's driving was extremely unsafe. He did not seem qualified at all. My boyfriend has owned several boats/yachts before and was helping him the entire time, and was not able to enjoy his birthday as he was worried for our safety. The captain was not able to dock properly, and the yacht was rocking the whole entire time. Many passengers were thrown across the yacht and have bruises. The captain was also extremely rude and was yelling at the passengers of the party. He screamed "NO" when one passenger tried to take food from the top floor to the bottom floor. He stated all food must stay on the top floor, even though the food was flying everywhere. Also, he forbid us to take off the windows of the top floor of the boat, he claimed "they are hard to put back on." We were sitting on the top, and it was muggy and crowded, we said we would help put them back on and took them off ourselves. I understand that I did not show for the first payment, but that is no reason to mistreat your customer for the entirety of their booking and also steal their money.

Kevin is dialed into where the fish, prawns, and crab are located and provided key knowledge on where to set traps, how to get bit and the proper way to fight and land the fish. My boys and I have spent countless hours on the water bass fishing so we know how this fishing game is played. We went knowing that there is always a good chance that you may not catch anything. Ive learned after this experience, that Kevin has the knowledge to increase your chances of success. From the beginning of our trip, Kevin was confident that we were going to catch fish. Even after a slow start, Kevin stated that we were going to catch fish and we would stay as long as it takes to do so. We ultimately caught 3 nice salmon and the shrimp and crab pots were full! Kevin was great with kids and got them involved in setting and picking up our filled traps. He cleaned and filleted our fish, cleaned the crab and shrimp which made an awesome Thanksgiving feast. I highly recommend Kevin as a salmon fishing guide and thank him for a trip that my sons and I will never forget.
