This was another attempt at trying a new food truck. Unfortunately this was not the best experience. I agree with others when I say you will be waiting a bit for your order. The menu is pretty straight forward. I ordered the red beans which were a little bland but came alive after I added a few things from the kitchen. I also ordered a shrimp basket which consisted of 6 shrimp that were pretty tasty and a sprinkle of fries. Overall this was decent but a bit overpriced for what's offered. read more

This food truck came to The Hayworth at Tanglewood where we live, it was a true taste of Louisiana. It was probably the best catfish and shrimp We have had west of the Mississippi. Dear Owner: Today I had the unpleasant experience of eating a Poboy at your trailer at Trader's Village. While the quality (I did not taste love at every bite) evidenced by a soggy, nondescript roll, loaded with semi-wilted lettuce and unripe tomatoes topped with a handful (I'll get to that in a minute) of shrimp, accompanied by soggy, outright nasty fries (I could not bear but eat only very few), I was abhorred by the fact the the two teenagers 'working' the kitchen (when they were not busy chatting while there were customers waiting) did NOT WEAR FOODGRADE GLOVES while placing one shrimp at a time on the 'po'boy' while the young 'cook', busy listening to music on his earpods, shoveled the fries with his bare hands into the Styrofoam container. Later I witness the same 'cook' riding his skateboard around your trailer, presumably something he had done even before preparing my meal. I did not witness any running water or other means of cleaning or sanitizing hands. In closing, I am considering myself lucky but apparently having a strong stomach as I have not gotten sick yet. Either way, your food handling procedures and poorly trained staff are outright appaling. Oh, and before I forget, to charge $ 12 for this was outright insulting. If you're going to sell a sandwich, in this case a pork chop sandwich, you really should re-think including the huge pork chop bones. And when I brought it to your attention, rather than apologizing, you were shocked and said "you bit into it?!" Yes, not only did I bite into it, my 4 year old son bit into it and we nearly busted our teeth. Your comment about it being "like back home cooking" to justify why every single pork chop "sammich" as your menu so calls it, is not acceptable to me. Why you think it's normal to sell a sandwich with about 40% bone and 60% pork chop is beyond me. At *least* warn us who aren't from "back home". It was also horribly overly spicy. So I wasted $20 on a bunch of bones and some pork and so much spice I could barely taste it. Not cool. read more

Daughter and I tried a new cajun food truck last night called Harbor's Cajun Station. For $8 we got a fried chicken leg po-boy. The idea is good, the chicken was hot and crispy and flavorful but the execution was....interesting. It was three full sized legs on a big old piece of buttered french bread. This truck came to our apartments last night. My friend ordered the fries that have shrimp and sauce on it. They looked delicious but as we started eating them we realized it was all drowning in sauce. The shrimp also still had their tails. It was just a mess to eat and we ended up throwing it away. This truck showed up at our apartment. We were happy to see them. Got a "Pack a Punch" shrimp basket & shrimp basket. Both were $10. Great fries, dusted with Cajun seasoning. Great seafood batter that was light and tasty. The pack a punch was fried shrimp dressed with BBQ sauce, cheese, and scallions, all of which stuck to the bed of fries below. Suoer tasty. This truck came to my place of business today. JUST NO. NO NO NO. People waited over an hour to be served fish filets that were cut in HALF and then sold at FULL PRICE. This goes beyond bad service. This is UNETHICAL. The crawfish topping that was to go over the fried fish had no crawfish in it. I didn't see one tail in it. I would definitely not encourage anyone to visit this vendor. read more

Very disappointing. We hired them for a company event tonight and people waited FOREVER to get their food. We had 90 people to be served in a 2 hour window so you would think that they would come prepared to get the orders out quickly. Portions were very small and food was just ok. These people are selling Basa fish from Vietnam as Catfish. I wish the Houston restaurants that are pulling the cheap fakes as catfish would stop. If you are going to call it catfish there should be laws that do not allow them to use cheap fakes from Vietnam in place of catfish. I just arrived at the hotel after white knuckling through the downpours from Austin just wanting to get in my dry warm room when I spotted this food truck right outside the front door and could smell the crawfish in the lobby as I was checking in. I wasn't really that hungry but when I saw they offered seafood gumbo I couldn't resist. Now I'm usually skeptical about gumbo particularly if you put sausage in it. My first bite was off the chain. I had not had gumbo this good since my grandmother use to make crab gumbo 25 years ago. It was so good I had to go back downstairs to let the ladies know how wonderful it was and to thank them. I contemplated buying another bowl for tomorrow's dinner, but there's just too much good food to explore. We have ordered from Harbor's on several occasions! Their gumbo is awesome. We had some this weekend and it was delicious! Louisiana certified. Just the right amount of seasoning, meat, and a delicious authentic roux! Add the potato salad inside the gumbo for even more Cajun eats! We also ordered the catfish/shrimp seafood plate. It came with a bonus boudin ball!!!! Also it included red beans and rice. Their red beans and rice is authentic and homemade. No cans here. It was so good and tasted just like my Louisiana grandmothers beans! The portion sizes are also great. I ate my seafood plate over the course of 2 days. I had enough gumbo to share with my 10 year old, who loved it and wanted more. My husband ordered the shrimp poboy and ate every bite. I can't wait to go again and order another Grammies Catfish Sandwich. Those are delicious! It was awesome ordering from them again! We will definitely be back again and again! Sorry but I'm a New Orleans man and my wife cook some of the best Louisiana food you would die for I stop here today and order two pounds of crawfish with potatoes and corn and turkey necks everything was cold old and no taste.
