Really a mixed bag last night... Golf - 4.5 stars. Nice little course where my wife and I had a nice relaxing round. Well taken care of...a bit short, but that's ok. A good time. Par and Tackle food - 5 stars. Really good calamari, fish Rueben, Caesar salad, burger, and drinks. Not gourmet, but they aren't trying to be. This is really good pub style food after a round of golf. We noticed a menu item of two hot dogs and chips for 6 bucks. What could be better for lunch after a round of golf. Will have to try it next time. Par and Tackle service- a generous 1 star. Waitress was surly. Extremely slow and spent the whole night complaining she was the only one on. There were two food runners working with her (busting their butts) that were really pleasant as opposed to the surly waitress. Every time we looked for her she was standing at the computer next to the bar. Then, to top it off, she charged us for more drinks than we had. After waiting for her to come back after dropping the check I finally went to her at the bar and told her. She said oh yeah, I charged you for three of those...must've fat fingered it. Her comments were more of an "ooops" than an "I'm sorry". We will definitely be back...for golf and may try food again. If so we'll see if service can match the food. Great view but food was lacking and the fish and chips was pretty much a plate of French fries. Not sure if they ran out of fish as the waitress was uncaring when I mentioned the fact that there was almost no fish! Service was substandard, and both the food and drinks were pricey. Great golf course I give it 5 stars.... Par and tackle has an incredible view. But since they've opened it the food has gone downhill. And this year it's just seems like they know the view brings the money in, and not the food. Too bad. This place could be incredible. Step up your grub game! read more

Review for Par & Tackle only. My daughter and I stopped in for a quick bite and we were very pleased. Harbor lights is a massive complex with 9 holes of Golf and a Marina. Par & Tackle is a perfect sunny weather restaurant, its a Pergola type structure with a roof only and no walls (on sunny days at least). You enjoy wide open views of the water and the random golf foursome finishing up their round on the 9th hole. As for food, my daughter had the bacon cheeseburger which she really enjoyed (especially the fries) and I had chicken wings. Both were completely perfect - just what we expected and well priced. No alcholic beverages for us - we just had soda (free refills) and our total bill was $25. Definitely going to come back to try our more options! read more

Really a great place to enjoy an outdoor drink, food or desserts. Went there yesterday, had a great time, beautiful sunset. Awesome service at the Tiki bar / dining area. The only issue, we asked our server if we could move our chairs and smoke a cigar, he said yes, after we started our cigars, he comes back and said rules have changed, we need to move to the smoking section. UGH, cigars not cheap. We moved. Too bad, you should communicate the rules better. But a lovely place. read more

I typically don't write reviews but it seems necessary. I went in with a larger group and was told the wait would be 2 hours (which was fine we expected it). As the 2 hour mark came up we inquired about the table, we were informed that the kitchen would be closing soon and they would have to squish us into a table (again, we weren't that upset- just strange to keep us around for 2 hours and not notify us that the kitchen closed at that time). The hostess told us that the table that was meant for us was still being occupied by a group and that they still haven't gotten their "fat a*****" up. I have worked in restaurants for many years, never is it okay to say this to a customer. There were many other things that happened over the course of our stay that irked us but i'll leave it at that. Our waitress was great and the food was great. read more

I have been going to Harbor Lights for years. The menu has always been decent, and also the food. It has always been very affordable for the location. I went today for the first time since the new management took over and quite the change, not for the better. The food is very overpriced for small portions, and the entertainment was slow love songs for the middle of the day. Sundays have always been packed in past years, with fun bands, and today it was very slow. Usually Father's Day is very busy on the links, but the restaurant, golf course and tiki bar were all very slow. The majority of boaters in this area are middle class, and I believe new management is trying to cater to a wealthier clientele that just isn't there. It is a beautiful property, but it is still in Warwick, RI. For the first time I have ever been there in 7 years of attendance, I did not see one boater I knew. I just think that, along with striving to elevate their service, they need to realize we are not the Hamptons or such. read more

Harbor Lights is a great place to be on a nice summer day. Start off by playing a round of golf on their 9 hole golf course. It is on the shorter side but well maintained and provides enough of a challenge for the average golfer. The one drawback of the course is drainage, the course will be very wet in the Spring. After the round, grab a drink and a snack at the Par and Tackle, their nice outside bar/restaurant. It has a mixture of arrangements from a nice bar and high tables, to couches and Adirondack chairs. The food is great and the prices are reasonable. Plus you have a lovely view of the water. It also has a nice event space inside and the few events I have been here for have always been well run with delicious food and attentive staff. Highly recommend this place once the weather gets nice! read more

I have been here twice to give it a fair chance. Once on a Saturday night to see a band at the Tiki bar. The two bartenders that were working were way overwhelmed by the number of customers. After 20 minutes of standing at the bar, we walked away empty-handed. The second time was on a Thursday night to see a band at Par & Tackle restaurant. The drinks we ordered were so bad they were sent back twice! The chicken sandwich I received was so chewy and there was nearly a trace of avocado on the cheap ass hamburger bun they put it on. And, they charged $13 for it!! If you want bacon or cheese add $$. However, our server was great! She never complained when we told her our drinks were wrong even on the 2nd attempt. If it weren't for the fact that this course came included on a golf card, I'm not sure I'd ever golf here again. No starter or marshall, there was no order to people teeing off. Having not had much heavy rain in the area for the past few week or more, losing balls in the fairway because they are plugged in mud is not acceptable. 3 guys hanging out in the pro shop, pretty sure 1 was supposed to be the starter on the first tee box. Pretty much in the cross fire for 6 out of the 9 holes. Just a bad overall experience. read more

Backyard gem in Warwick Neck! My only regret is that I didn't discover it sooner! No need to drive to E.G., Bristol or Newport! Open to the public! Restaurant, tiki bar, golf course and pool! Great infinity pool overlooking the water. From what I've been told, this summer they offered pool access at $20/day per person. Been to both the tiki bar and outdoor restaurant and both have great views. Awesome drinks...try the " no way, frose"! Sparkling rose frozen and absolutely delish!!! The hummus is very good and served with lots of pita and wontons to dip! Entertainment on the weekends. Stunning sunsets! What's not to love!? Only thing they could improve upon is the restroom at the outdoor restaurant. A Glade plug-in would go a long way! It's not a deal breaker but certainly a well-needed suggestion. I was extremely disappointed with this venue. I attended a wedding on a Saturday night. The waitstaff was extremely rude to many of the guests. One of the bartenders was also very rude to the guests. I've never heard staff speak to guests so rudely. People were getting the wrong food (which can happen) but instead of apologizing and bringing the correct order they implied the guests were lying about what they ordered. Really??? The portions were extremely small and the chicken could not be cut with the butter knife they gave . It was extremely thick and tough. If Harbor Lights was the only venue in the state I would elope. read more

Harbor Lights is such a beautiful venue and was perfect for our wedding. We were fortunate enough to have food weather and their venue location kept us cool in the summer heat. They had super helpful staff and the location was perfect for photo opportunities! Where the ceremony was beautiful being off the water was great. The driving range for the cocktail hour was a perfect idea and everyone had a blast! The bar inside was very nice and the staff made sure all of our decorations were out and seen. It was a really fun cocktail hour with a lot of good finger foods (lobster mac and cheese was a hit) and good service. They accommodated the live music we had perfectly as well. The food was delicious. We had the chicken and steak meals, and our guests who had the steak said it was very tender and delicious. All 110 quests, including those with meal accommodation changes, were served dinner quickly and we got a lot of compliments on the food. The drinks were incredible and the bar service was fast. We did an open bar and champagne toast. If you're looking for a good spot to get married near the water with the friendliest of staff, I would book here! Thank you again! read more

I had a great experience before the back 9 holes. Once coming around 9 and heading to 10, the woman on the tee box said "I hope you aren't coming around. Oh no you can't otherwise we're going to have a problem, we have 4 foursomes behind you." After a small (very disrespectful) discussion my partner said we could play our second nine starting on hole 5( to appease the old woman) The starter who looked to be 15 years old told us this was best even though there were 2 foursomes waiting on the 6th tee box and a foursome right on our tail on the 5th tee. Drinks were good but overpriced and the service at the restaurant was nothing to complain about other than the "frozen" margarita was liquid with ice cubes and so was the mudslide. Got a bowl of chowder it came half full I asked the runner ,young kid he said there was a shortage of chowder I said then why sell me a cup for a bowl price. He walked away , told the bartender she said ok ill get you another cup I proceeded to dump it in my bowl it slipped out of my hand and splashed all over me and my bf. It actually burned my wrist. Went to a wedding at Harbor Lights and it was fabulous from start to finish! Beautiful location on the water, excellent opportunities for incredible photography. The event area was nicely sectioned with cocktail area and main seating with plenty of room and views. Food was first rate. I had a stuffed chicken that was moist and tasty, not your typical rubber chicken fare. Appetizers were excellent. Staff was also great. Walter the bar tender was outstanding! Horrible course that is packed into way too little room. The driving range is 150 yards tops so it's irons only. The yardage of the course is very short and that explains why everyone playing there is above the age of 60. The Par and Tackle al fresco dining venue is a great summer spot to enjoy a meal. We were fortunate enough to get a table on a Saturday night after a forty minute wait. Food prices were very reasonable considering the portion sizes served. From the moment we arrived, the good feelings emerged as the hostess was welcoming and pleasant. Our waiter, Jake, was tremendous as he advised us upon our requests as to what would suit my dietary needs and my husband's tastebuds. Jake was jovial, never once rushed us, and was very accurate. We began with the sticky crispy chicken wings which were mild and delicious, and yes, oh so sticky, but great! Salad wise, hubby and I split the very unique Tuscan Kale. It was outstanding with its tender pieces of kale, radishes, crisp butter beans, golden raisins, red onion, sunflower seeds, and just the right amount of a smooth honey-dijon dressing. Because we weren't at all rushed to order, we were able to continue to eat and ordered sandwiches. I ordered the "MeatBall Grindah" filled with bacon, cheese + tenderloin meatballs, in the house marinara which was very good. The Cove Burger comprised of applewood bacon, cheese , onion strings + 1000 Island dressing made my husband's evening so perfect! The menu indicated the cheese was pepperjack but his request for a substitution of cheddar was honored with no problem! And then, the sweet ending of the brownie sundae which was "sweet" in every way made it quite nice! What was even nicer and most admirable was the concern extended from the manager who checked in with me to be sure my dietary needs were met - that is unusual and greatly appreciated and leaves me with a huge smile and desire to return. read more

I was pulled over waiting for the tow truck to arrive when 2 of your employees passed by and saved the day omg did not even end up needing the tow truck. Ate a lunch here with my parents this past weekend. They asked me to meet them here to check it out for a possible wedding venue for my lil sis in couple summers. I am the maid of honor and since my sister lived in Indiana right now I thought it would help her out if I saw it. I figured lunch at a country club was going to be stuffy and the food sub par. Well I was wrong. The best part was the service the young man handling the beautiful outdoor space on Saturday was just awesome, some of the best service I have had in a long time. The food was REALLY good, it would have gotten 5 stars if my Moscow Mule was up to par, but it was a little odd, I suggest getting some Fever Tree behind the bar tasted like ginger ale in there to me. I haven't seen too many organizations in Rhode Island reinvest in their business as much as Harbor Lights Marina and Courty Club. Since my wife and I became marina members in June of 2012, we have witnessed construction of a beautiful infinity pool and tiki bar, renovation of the Cuntry Club and pro shop, addition of the new and innovative Par and Tackle restaurant, improvements to the golf course and much more. John McGovern and his team do a great job running the marina. While added amenities like the shutle and food cart make this one of the best spots on Narragansett Bay. The food and service at the Par and Tackle has improved 180 degrees over the last two years. The staff will fall all over you to make you happy. Cudos to Joel Noel and his entire team for continually making improvements to make our marina a destination for all. read more

So I'm over at a Brewer's marina for a few years now. I'vebeen trying to convince a few of my dock buddys to switch to come here. We've taken a few dinghy trips over throughout the season and liked what we saw... We decided to come on one of our big boats tonight to see the evening light. Went to tiki bar that was empty... great! My service dog can sit with us too, right? Caleb and Alex were very accommodating. Place was empty. Than some guy (assuming manager or dock master?) Came in and said we can't be here. I pointed out that we're by the door, dogs, laying down and no one other than the 8 of us are here.... no go... I left even before pulling my service dog card, because I hated his attitude and didn't want to be there any longer.... lost a bunch of potential customers. I can't believe I wasted a season trying to convince my crew to mive here. Brewers is so much more accommodating to real life, more convenient and fun. You can tell the guy in charge on Sunday night, September 10th... thank you for showing me the true customer service, i don't have to waste anymore time convincing my friends to move or wasting a season here. Seems i would have hated it! Ps. I've met Donna the bartender on one of our excursions, she was wonderful at telling us about the place and quite convincing before tonight. This is technically a review for "Par and Tackle" - the dining establishment that is part of Harbor Lights, but which is located under the roofed pavilion, beside the large, main building. Since we found it, my Honey and I have gone 5 times this summer! It is a gem! (I actually hesitated writing a review, because while we want the place to do well, we don't want it to do so well that we can't get a table anymore! ; ) If you are a fan of al fresco dining, you need to check this place out. You get all the benefits of an outdoor venue, along with a distant water view, but with the shelter of a roof - and available clear, side curtains, should a driving rain roll in. Every food item we have had thus far has been awesome. We have had the Pt. Judith Calamari, Italian Sausage/Rabe Pizza (my husband has ordered this every time we've gone!), the Tuscan Kale Salad, Seaside Ruben Sandwich, RI Lobster Roll and the Chicken and Waffles. The absolute standouts are the Lobster Roll and Chix/Waffles. Portions are not super-sized, but neither are the prices. You get delicious food for what I would say are reasonable prices. The drink menu has a nice offering of specialty cocktails and I've tried several - none have disappointed. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. I just hope the summer lingers so we can get many more visits in before the cold weather is upon us. I think I heard they stay open through October and bring heaters in to keep the patrons comfortable when the temps drop, and while I'm the type who gets cold when it's 70 degrees out, we love the place enough that you might find me there anyway on some chilly October evening - sipping one of their Fall cocktails - albeit with my fingerless gloves on! read more

Haven't written a Yelp in over 2 years but this negative review was necessary. Made a reservation for 8 people for 7PM for this evening. When we arrived the hostess said the table would be ready in 5-10 minutes as the table they were "seating" us at was paying the bill. Over 45 minutes later we stood still waiting... I finally approached the hostess after being extremely patient because we noticed that the table she claimed to be seating us at was just receiving appetizers! She then apologized and says she will put an 8-top together for us to sit since that table hasn't even received entrees yet.... We finally sit and are not greeted by our waitress for another 25 minutes. We did not receive our drinks until 8:45PM from our 7PM reservation. The waitress clearly forgot about our table or didn't care, and we had to flag her down in an empty restaurant for minimal service. It's a shame the service is so horrible because the view is beautiful. The only time she was attentive was when she brought the check over and included a 20% gratuity tip for herself and claimed the computer system would only allow her to split the check twice for a party of 8 (a classic lazy service industry lie as I previously worked in the restaurant business for years). All together horrible experience. Join the Warwick country club instead!! read more

The entire complex at Harbor Lights is beautiful. The two outdoor venues, Par and Tackle and the Tiki bar, have gorgeous views of the bay. The food is also good and reasonably priced. So! Why Two stars?? I've been to Par and tackle numerous times hoping that they will have enough staff. It hasn't happened yet. We've had some great wait staff but they are not magicians. Terrible service and the hostess is useless. How about ordering a dessert after dinner and waiting 45 minutes. When asked how long it would be the response was "no one has time to cut a piece of pie". We moved from our table because there were a lot of people waiting to be seated. In hindsight we should have waited for the pie, thus blocking the table. What a bad business move for them. Oh, and we never got the pie and left after over one hour. On Sunday 7/15/18 about 6 or 7 adults were in the pool with cocktails. It wasn't crowded and we were just floating around talking and feeling great because of the drink, pool, weather and bay vibe. Then a man comes over and rudely said that drinks aren't allowed in the pool. OK, first I've heard about this in two years. I asked who he was and he yelled " I'm the CEO" and stormed off. Everyone was stunned. If in fact he was the CEO I would think that he could have approached us nicely and we all, as adults, would have understood. Maybe management, or the CEO, or whoever he was, should take a look at overall operations and customer service. I know I'll return but my spending will be cut waaaaay down! read more

Wedding night. Appetizers were perfect. Salad and meal was perfectly timed after speeches. The meals were proportionate and so good that everyone at my table cleaned their plate, meat or chicken. Domenic your bartender busted his bottom for everyone and took care of anyone as he went along. Played 9 yesterday with wedding party the course was in great shape. Not too challenging but tactics come in to play as the holes are short with reasonable hazards and sand in play. I love it here! Super friendly staff and good food. Their menu is a dream, with burgers, tacos, dough boys...oh god, I just gained 10lbs thinking about it. The chicken tacos are delicious. Simple, but incredibly fresh with excellent and flavorful gauc. My biggest pet peeve with chicken tacos is that often the chicken is too dry. Not in this case! Super tender and flavorful, and moist (sorry), chicken with fresh gauc. The cocktails are tasty as well, all served at a Tiki Bar by the pool. The pool itself is gorgeous, on the smaller side, but well kept, clean, and inviting. At night, it has color changing lights on the sides of the pool that make it even more fun to look at. The bar is right by the water, so you get great views and can enjoy sitting outside while the sun sets. There is plenty of seating, at the bar, on the patio and by the pool. You do need a pool membership to swim, and I am considering on getting one, depending on the price. On Wednesday nights in the summer, they have WRIK Rock N Roll bingo which people seem to enjoy. I recommend this location for some great food and fun during the summer! read more
