We went to Harbor Lights for Easter brunch and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience…read more When we arrived, the dining room felt cold and damp because a window near our table was left open--even though it was cold and rainy outside. It set the tone for what ended up being a very uncomfortable meal. The organization of the brunch was extremely poor. All tables were seated and then released at the same time, which created complete chaos. There was no direction, no clear flow, and no communication. Two lines formed for the buffet, but there wasn't nearly enough space to accommodate everyone. At the carving station, both lines collided and people had to awkwardly cross over each other just to access different items. The food itself was also underwhelming. Several of the vegetables were undercooked, and overall the quality did not meet expectations for a holiday brunch. To add to the frustration, I asked for milk for my mom's coffee (she can't have cream), and after about 10 minutes, we were told there was no milk anywhere in the building. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience--especially for a special occasion like Easter. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

I was so excited for this place to open since Cork and Rye has become one of my favorite…read morerestaurant. I ordered the lamb lollipops and tuna crudo for appetizers. The tuna wasn't my favorite as it tasted really fishy. If you're into fishy tasting fish (I know it's an acquired taste) then you may love it. . I was hoping it would be more like the seared one they serve next door which is an all time favorite of mine. The lamb lollipops on the other hand were delicious and tender. Id definitely order them again. For an entree, I got the salmon oscar. The salmon was great but the crab meat was diced really small and the flavor was masked by the Hollandaise. The potato "puree" was just regular, somewhat gummy mashed potatoes which I found a little disappointing. Overall it was a decent dish but I prefer the salmon next door at their other restaurant. I ended up getting the charcuterie to go. It was really fresh, the portion was a good size and the meat and cheese selection was awesome. The service was great. Lex was really sweet, friendly and knows her stuff. The atmosphere is really cozy as well. Overall, I'd recommend Cask and would give them another try. I can see myself coming in for an app and drink before going next door for dinner.

First time at this restaurant . For an appetizer we chose the bacon-wrapped dates with goat cheese…read morewhich were delicious!! . Perfectly crisp on the outside, sweet and tender on the inside, and that creamy goat cheese was the ideal tangy contrast. We sat at the bar and the bartenders were very attentive and service was on point. With the holidays upon us the restaurant was decorated beautifully! It's a small but cozy restaurant especially for date night !

Our drink order was prepared and was delicious. Menus were given to us as were seated but there was no pressure to order. We were given time to relax and not be rushed. The bar was a great mix of locals and first timers. In the bar area a two piece acoustic band set up to perform. We ordered our food and it came out quickly and exactly as ordered. The music set did not over power the room and was perfect for the evening. I would definitely recommend stopping in

Finally when we went to the hostess stand the young lady who was very nice stated she would need to wait because it was her first night. Once the other worker came over she sat us without saying anything. Right away a very bubbly waitress came over and said "Hi my name is Sarah with a H we are going to have fun. The only thing is we have a band coming in at 6 and all the tables are reserved do you think you'll be able to eat in that time"? I feel as if this should have been communicated prior to us being seated. My friends and I haven't seen each other in quite some time and I myself fought 45 minutes of traffic to get there. Needless to say 50 minutes was not going to be enough time to look over the menu, order, cook the food, eat and catch up. We had to leave :( Sarah does get an A plus for her customer service though! The view was beautiful and the food smelled amazing!

We fell in love with her, the house, everything including the murder-by-mail story behind the house from the 1800s. About 2 weeks before the party we called Kaitlyn and told her it was going to turn into our surprise wedding! She continued to be so helpful and excited, giving recommendations for all kinds of vendors we'd need. The day of the party she was professional and hands-on, making sure everything got done on a quick timeline. She calmed nerves and had great suggestions on where things should go to make sure everything flowed just right. Our rental price included some tables and linens she had available, and some glassware too. It was so perfect from the start and we couldn't be happier!!

Beautiful historic building who's tour guides added in a true life murder mystery of the lady of the houses death. This really added to the event as it was so my scene and absolutely fun. They also had a whiskey tasting since she was poisoned with whiskey which is ironically amazing. I would def host an event here because unlike the Newport mansions I could touch things and see things in the midst of being historically preserved since they're still restoring the house. Open Doors RI has found a new regular customer :)
