So the food was really good but i had a few complaints.... The wife's filet minion was not cooked correctly. It was supposed to be medium and it was, well, mid well, and medium all in the same steak. The risotto just flat out bad it had no flavor. Service was fantastic and i dont think i have had better service. Desert was just amazing. So bottom line they lost a whole star on the two food issues.

I really have to thank Yelp for this one. I would have never found this restaurant if it wasn't for all the reviews on there. It was excellent. The atmosphere, the service, and the food were all amazing.

The day of the funeral, I received word that another friend had passed the evening before. I came back to the hotel that evening, where I wanted to take in a cigar and a bourbon out back, in honor of my two friends. I found that I had not packed matches or a torch. Miss Taylor quickly came to my rescue by providing me with matches. The kindness didn't stop there. I was provided with a care bag that evening AND the next evening as well. The very best thing I received, was a personalized card, hand written and signed by Miss Taylor and several other members of the staff. It's the personal touch of true kindness that makes this a place I will certainly return to. It is with my deepest gratitude I write this review. Peace be the journey.

I made a reservation and then had to cancel it as a death in the family led to me canceling my entire trip to the area. The woman I spoke with was incredibly nice and understanding and helped me canceled it without issue. A week later I was charged $200 on my card again by Fairfield. I called and spoke with someone who said I need to email proof of the double charge to the hotel email and they would get to it because they were too busy to help me and would call me the next day. I thought that was rather dismissive but said ok and sent the email. Today I called again as I had not heard anything back and spoke to a woman who sounded annoyed the moment she picked up the phone. I explained the situation to her, said I was traveling and was on my layover, and asked if I could speak to someone about this charge. She refused, said everyone was busy, and I could leave my number. I asked to speak with a manager and told her again I had been waiting to be called, hadn't been, and I was traveling so I really couldn't just deal with this later. She told me that "as she's already said" she's busy, the manager is busy, she wasn't going to go find them right now, and I could leave my number or hang up. I gave her my number and told her I wasn't trying to be difficult, I just wanted this random charge off my card and didn't want to go through the process of disputing it. She just said she didn't care and hung up. I've worked in hospitality for years and genuinely cannot believe the experience they thought was acceptable for this situation. I almost always choose Marriott brands when traveling but this might have been it for me. Absolutely will never book here again.

Getting into the hotel was interesting, as I went down a one-way street to a gated entrance. Check-in was a breeze, and I was quickly up to my room. My room here was actually pretty nice, as there was a living room as well as a bedroom and a nicely sized bathroom. The single TV rotated on a swivel to allow for viewing throughout the whole room, and I also had a full-sized fridge and sink. The bed was comfortable, and I didn't hear anyone else from my room, although I did deploy a sound machine to help with that. Every morning, they had free breakfast included as part of the room. I didn't partake in it, as I'm not really a breakfast person. I did try to get their bold roast coffee on both mornings, but they were out both times. Thankfully, they had iced coffee, which I don't think I've seen at a hotel before, so I was able to get my coffee fix when I wanted it. My checkout was just as quick as my check-in, and I was quickly on my way after two nights here. The bottom line for me is that I would stay here again in the future. My room was large and comfortable, and I liked that the continental breakfast was included, even if it's not something that I used.

Breakfast has numerous options: waffles, oatmeal, eggs, bacon/sausage, breads, juices, fresh cut fruit, dry cereal, etc. The staff are friendly and helpful. Parking is easy. The gym is adequate. I really love that they have pet-free floors. As a non-pet owner I get turned off when entering a room that is full of pet hair and odors. The hotel location is ideal as well, it's within walking distance to a gas station, grocery store and mini/strip mall with a Super Target, Dollar Tree, movie theater and multiple restaurants (fast and sit-down).

The location is not much to speak of, on a busy road, and while things are close, none of it is really walkable. That said, when you come through the door you can tell the people in charge have taken a great deal of care with the place. The lobby is clean and spacious and the people working the desk were polite and attentive. Check-in was easy and efficient. Off the lobby is the breakfast area and it was a really nice touch that they had coffee, tea and water available all day. The room was also very clean and a good size with a small fridge and microwave. I was very impressed with the quality of the furnishings. One issues in the room though was that the pillows appeared tiny, like little squares. It was only after rolling off it it a few times that I realized they'd taken regular pillows and folded them in half before stuffing them into the pillow cases. Odd, but I just unfolded them and that was better. The other issue was that the walls must be super thin because I could hear everything on the TV in the room next door...even at 4am. Also someone was slamming doors repeatedly in the wee hours of the morning. I'm not talking about two times, it went on for a long while and no one from the management seemed to notice/care. I know it's not totally the fault of the workers, but man, when it happens that much I sure wish they would step in. Still, I'd stay here again, maybe the noise was a one off. The bottom line is that this place is clean and comfortable with some very nice extra little touches.

We saw some people hanging around the back the evidently were staying there. The lobby area has had a small remodel and is promising when you walk in. The hotel was empty but my co-worker and I were at opposite ends of the convention style hotel. My first room was bottom floor facing outside. While walking to my room someone in an employee laundry room area was getting high and ran when I walked by. The weed smell didn't stop there. It smelled like someone had just gotten high in my room, wall paper was peeling and was just gross. I almost packed up and left then but called the front desk and asked to move. I told her the issues and I don't think she cared. She at least put me on the second floor a few halls away from my co-worker. It was slightly better I thought. We went to dinner and came back. I walked her to her room because she's younger and pregnant. The halls were filled with pot smell and we are pretty sure a section was dedicated to people living there. I get to my room and when I pulled back the covers the one bed was heavily stained. I thought gross but there's two beds. Well the second one was stained and the pillows too. It was too late to leave so we stayed. Her room was bad but not that bad. I don't believe my room was cleaned/changed after the last stay. Hair was everywhere in the bathroom. Just awful! I've stayed in some shady places but this one ranks up there maybe at the top. Also, I'd expect more out of HI. It may be a while before I can trust to stay with IGH again.
