Both rooms were difficult to navigate with everyone so close to one another and it was hard to walk past the bars because there were large waste bins on the ends and people would collect there to throw their bottles away. The event had a 4-hour open bar with only one bartender per bar. From what my wife and I could tell, the two bartenders were the only employees there. This proved to be a major problem because if the bartender needed something that wasn't stocked at their station or had to walk the space to clear tables, they would have to leave the bar completely unmanned. There were a lot of times that patrons would get behind the bar and take bottles from the shelves and when the bartenders came back, they'd pretty much shrug it off and continue to serve. One bar was for beer and wine, the other for cocktails. The cocktail line was always busy and the bartender couldn't keep up with demand, typically not remembering who had ordered first. From what I was told by other patrons, the drinks were quite weak. I stuck to hard cider and beer solely because the line was faster. But every time I wanted a Guinness, the bartender would leave the bar to go and get it from somewhere else. Luckily the event was only four hours long and my wife and I didn't stay through the whole thing. What's so concerning is that the management didn't think to staff properly and created a liability for themselves.

All the food provided and cooked by All-star Chef Octavio Gomes was fantastic. I worked with Octavio for some time at the Venus de Milo so I know his work is nothing but the best! Hall is very spacious and we were able to bring in a good capacity of people even within the midst of COVID restrictions. The lights and decorations in the hall definitely set the tone of a nice ballroom wedding. All the staff was absolutely professional, friendly and helpful. It set the tone for what ended up being a very uncomfortable meal. The organization of the brunch was extremely poor. All tables were seated and then released at the same time, which created complete chaos. There was no direction, no clear flow, and no communication. Two lines formed for the buffet, but there wasn't nearly enough space to accommodate everyone. At the carving station, both lines collided and people had to awkwardly cross over each other just to access different items. The food itself was also underwhelming. Several of the vegetables were undercooked, and overall the quality did not meet expectations for a holiday brunch. To add to the frustration, I asked for milk for my mom's coffee (she can't have cream), and after about 10 minutes, we were told there was no milk anywhere in the building. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience--especially for a special occasion like Easter. Unfortunately, we won't be returning.

Here are just some of the things we appreciated about our experience with you: all our questions were answered in a timely fashion (even tiny details like how tall is the awning on the deck in case we have to put the chuppa there), the play fields were in excellent condition even after a miserable winter, the star gazing at observatory was inspiring, the food was consistently delicious and presented beautifully (delighting even the hard to please cousins from NYC), rooms throughout the site were clean and inviting, all amenities provided and beautiful views from all of rooms, service was outstanding at every moment and, of course, you even did a great job on the weather. You all think of every detail and guided us with gentle awareness whenever we were floundering or headed in the wrong direction. You all were flexible and understanding and just fun to work with. Erin, you were amazing at your meticulous attention to detail in planning and George you were a reassuring and helpfully guiding voice even in the most intense moments of the weekend. The whispering pine staff was very friendly and on top of everything, they did an amazing job taking care of the wedding party and all of the guests. The food was some of the best I have ever eaten at a wedding; appetizers included grilled pizzas, scallop wrapped bacon, coconut shrimp, mini ribs, and a plethora of tasty cheeses and fruits. The dinner was buffet which included steaks, flounder stuffed with shrimp, lobster, and scallops, pasta, grilled vegetables, fresh breads, etc... They topped it off with a variety of fresh desserts which included amazing chocolate covered cherries and lemon cake to name a few. The Pawtucket Armory is a historic armory building at 172 Exchange Street in Pawtucket. I have…read moreattended several special events and talks throughout the years and the space is ample and well preserved. Being an older building in a busy urban area, parking is a bit of an issue. I wish they had a parking garage built close to it, so people can enjoy the venue and focus on the event, instead of having to deal with parking. One of the major works of William R. Walker & Son, this building was built in 1894-5. Built of red brick with granite and limestone trim, it has a distinctive main block, with crenellated towers at the corners, and is prominently sited near Pawtucket's central business district. From 2005 to 2010, the armory housed the Jacqueline M. Walsh School for the Performing and Visual Arts. It is currently home to the Pawtucket Armory Arts Center. Every holiday season, they have their Holiday Crafts show that draws hundreds. The armory was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

I was here for the first time during the RI Brew Fest. The large interior allowed for many vendors and partons alike. The one drawback is the facilities - bathrooms are an issue here, so with large crowds, that presents quite a problem. Parking, while available, isn't nearly as ample as the space itself, so that's another reason why I've docked it one star. However, I truly love this place and can't wait to host my own event here someday.

The venue is incredibly unique and beautiful, with its expansive green lawn great for ceremonies, lawn games, and photographs. Also the simple yet elegant exposed beam design inside the building has so much character yet leaves room for couples to add to the space to integrate their own personal style into their wedding day. The weddings I have been able to photograph here seem to all have a comfortable relaxed atmosphere as couples and their wedding guests feel immediately at home at the Meeting House. The Meeting House staff is always pleasant and eager to help both vendors navigate throughout the space as well as couples to ensure the day runs soothly and effortlessly on the newlyweds part. I am eager to work here again in the 2015 wedding season. The photography opportunities are endless with the Meeting House being surrounded by the historic village of Tiverton Four Corners and all the historic buildings and beautiful stone walls throughout the area.
