Harbor Grille is a great restaurant right against the Lakeside. The dinner options were fantastic. Our party of five enjoyed our meals, from the fillet to the mushroom penne and other options. Typically, I like my filets without a sauce, but it was cooked to perfection and the sauce was a nice touch. My friend's chicken was cooked just right and flavorful. The meals were nicely presented. The service was super friendly and checked on us in a timely manner. The space is well open and has plenty of seating. Would come back again. read more

What a beautiful place to see Flathead Lake. The outdoor patio is worth the price of the food. We ordered the fried shrimp basket (6 pcs.), and the 1/2 lb bison Western Burger. The shrimp were not the best bust were from Florida. The burger was fantastic, except for the bottom bun was soggy. I removed it and ate with a knife and fork. So delicious. We also had a bowl of the clam chowder, it was watery, not worth it. Overall this place is a great find. Plenty of space for large groups, a full bar and gas firepits for chilly nights. read more

Stopped by for some great views & we sure got them! It was not busy on a Thursday at 5pm, so we were immediately sat and they took our order quickly. We ordered two beers and the clams. The clams were a quite chewy, a bit cold, and not the most desirable texture--with the sauce being the best part. I enjoyed the sausage that was served with it as without that, probably wouldn't have eaten too much. Overall the clams brought the review of this spot down, but it's a great place for some drinks and a view! read more

We've been wanting to check out the new menu since they expanded. The location is genuinely beautiful and the staff is warm and welcoming. But the menu is still a work in progress, and that's okay to say on opening week. A few things stood out: the lunch salads don't include a protein option, and the entrées (an $85 rib eye and a filet) come with fries as the only starch. For that price point, a little more flexibility would go a long way. Most of the appetizers were bread-based and really not many diet healthy options. A shrimp cocktail, local caught fish or some steamers would be great. Small detail, but the menus were printed in a few different fonts, which felt a little unfinished. The entrée font sizes were the same as the section headers on the menu so it was a little hard to look at. When you're relaunching with a big new kitchen, those little touches matter. We'll probably give it another shot once things settle in. The bones are great and the menu just needs some refinement. read more

We stopped in to Harbor Grill twice on the way to/from Whitefish. It was early in the season, so maybe they just weren't prepared for all the customers on a nice day, but the staff was disorganized and all over the place. The Good - The Smoked Trout appetizer was fantastic! A light bite was the order as we were headed to dinner in Whitefish, and this was just perfect. The patio on the lake is great and the live music in the evening was also quite nice. The Meh - The drink prices of $15 for a small wine pour and $3.50 for a soft drink that no one even offered to refill. Not great. The Bad - The staff organization. We waited for 20ish minutes for a table and then happened to run into the owner's daughter who got us seated quickly. Once seated we waited for 20ish minutes and then told the front desk we hadn't seen anyone. We waited for some time again and told them a second time (this seemed to be a theme in the Flathead restaurants) and finally a server came over and said she hadn't been told we were there...nice, but we'd seen her walk by a dozen times. The view was beautiful and that's the reason why I came. The food was good but certainly not worth the price- not anything special. The biggest reason why the 2 star review is the service. I've worked in restaurants and this is by far the worst service I've seen. The waiter did not check in and drinks were not refilled at all. BE AWARE OF THE TIPPING SYSTEM, automatic tipping is included and the tip was automaticly 25% which is wild for POOR SERVICE! In cash, tip was added as well and 25% aswell. We were not told for our group about the tipping system after we left. I'm very upset and I'm for sure not going to be recommending resturant. read more

The service was awful and she didn't check in on us at all and our drinks were empty the entire time. The only time we got service was when we Asked another server. She also automatically tipped herself, and switched around the prices of the different peoples tickets, without fixing it. for the credit card it was an automatic 25% tip which is insane. Location, location, location. This bar and grill really has a great location in the town of Lakeside. The have a nice open space for live music, great view of the lake, seating inside and out, and an outdoor bar apart from the bar-grill if you want to enjoy the a drink and the scenery. This place seems to get busy on a (summer) Friday night, so plan ahead if you go for dinner because you may have a 30-40 min wait. The food menu is typical of what you'd see at a bar & grill, with a few elevated and quirky dishes. Our table ordered the following: steak, chicken sandwich, ragin cajin burger, chicken fingers, pasta dish, and salmon. I do have to say, our waitress was fantastic! My wife saw one of our friends post about this restaurant a week or so ago and do we had to try it out. We headed over to the restaurant on a Thursday night for a date night! Kellen was our waiter and he was phenomenal! We grabbed a glass of wine and ordered our food. THE VIEWS ARE INCREDIBLE!!! Usually we go out to eat in Kalispell, Whitefish or Bigfork so it was kind of a break from the norm. The views of the lake and mountains were stunning! This is going to be a top date night location from now on! The Ribeye was perfect, the wings delicious, the waiter excellent! If you haven't visited this spot you've gotta try it out. Kellen was telling us that this is a great spot in the summers to because they open seating outside on the lake. I could see a couple fire pits and lighting along the waters edge. This is going to be a great spot to bring friends and grab a drink during the warm months! 5 stars for sure!!!! read more

My wife and I stopped here for lunch twice during our trip to Polson earlier this month. Once we were helped by Nicole and other time by Ashley (I think). Stopped by here after a long day in Glacier. The view of the patio and the lake were beautiful. Me and my boyfriend shared the tuna appetizer and it was delicious. We each then ordered a bowl of the clam chowder soup. It did take awhile to receive this but we both agreed we would wait longer for better tasting food. Up here in Pablo visiting friends and decided to take a drive around the lake. Stopped here for lunch. We'd heard good things about the place.. The place was 25% full or so, maybe less. There were 4 of us. We ordered 2 of the raw fish dishes, a salad and a mushroom swiss burger with sweet potato fries for me...The we proceeded to wait about an hour before we got our food. An hour. In a partially full restaurant. We had lots to catch up on so we stayed. Ordinarily I would have left after waiting 30 minutes for food from the kitchen. The young man kept apologizing and checking on us but no food. Once it did arrive, it was all quite tasty. But we waited an hour. The waiter said the less experienced cooks are place on the lunch crew and that's what was happening. The dinner crew was much faster. I didn't want to punish him so I tipped him well, but decided to do this review honestly as possible. read more

Great food, great service. Every time my we go here we are treated like family. Service is wonderful and the staff is engaging and makes sure we have a great time. Not to mention it's got of the best views of the lake and mountains you can find. Super happy they have chosen to stay open for the winter months. Give them a shot. We arrived with a local tour guide, Larry, nice man. He introduced us and asked the staff to take good care of us. We sat a stable in the sun for about 15 minutes. I'm giving this place 2 stars only for the location and service. The food sucks! The view of the Flathead Lake is stunning and the kids working are doing their best. I ordered a Mojito and it was mostly sugar water with one thin slice of lime and 2 small leaves of mint. I asked the server for more mint and lime and he said the bartender only gave him one more slice of lemon and 2 more leaves of mint. SeriousLu?! The bartender clearly had no clue how to make one. Then i ordered a ahi tuna salad. It was basically a bagged salad with some pEvan's and a small amount of tuna that tasted like it had been sitting in the fridge way too long. No flavor whatsoever. My companion ordered the chicken salad and it was basically a bagged the same. So disappointed in this place. If you go, just order an inexpensive appetizer and a beer. You will be better off without spending a ton of money. Our bill with tip was $80.00. I'll go elsewhere next time I'm in Lakesid. read more

Gotta say terrible service. Waiting 60minutes for a table at 5.30. At 6.30 got a table. 7.30 meal has not arrived. Don't know when we get out of here. Best food in the world is not worth the pain of anticipation of eating when you arrive or soon thereafter. No fault of the staff, no kitchen staff and poor stocking of popular dishes. This place has a fantastic location and, actually, the food is pretty good. However, we stayed next door at Waterside for two weeks, and tried to frequent this location THREE times. Only once were we successful in having a meal there...more in a bit. The first time we went at around 8pm. The hostess told us it would be about 45 minute wait even though there was ample seating visible. She said they were short staffed and suggested that going forward we come earlier. We left. The second time, we went around 7pm. Same situation (plenty of tables). However, they did have a live band playing and it was a lovely evening, so we waited nearly an hour for a table. The waitress was very attentive and personable, and the food was quite good, but VERY SLOW! Getting drinks was slow as was food. We didn't finish our meal until well after 9:30 pm and by then it was chilly to sit outside (imo). However, it was pleasant enough that we went back a third time. This time, we went around 6:30. Same situation and were told we needed to wait. We were prepared to do so, but two in our party went to the bar to order a drink while we waited. The bartender rather rudely informed them that they "would have to wait" for a drink, and to be prepared to "wait for their food" as well. Needless to say, we were put off by this and chose to leave. We ended up at nearby Del's Pub in Somers - THIS PLACE WAS FANTASTIC!!! The atmosphere and location of Harbor Grill is fabulous and it looks as though they are adding on. I'm not sure WHY they are doing so unless they can get their staffing situation resolved. read more

Fantastic location and service. They were understaffed the night my partner and I went, but phenomenal teamwork and service. I got the lobster and it was AMAZING. My partner had the ribeye and that was delicious. The food and drinks were superb. My partner got an old fashioned and it was so smooth. I got a holiday martini that I enjoyed. We will definitely be back again with some friends. Fabulous customer service in taking care of customers. We previously had an issue with a wine order there, but Nick, the manager, went above and beyond to ensure we had a great evening! The cheesecake was also phenomenal. Four times in the last three years, we've gone to this Grill. In all of those visits, there were at least a half a dozen or more empty tables that the staff refused to seat us at. Their excuse was they didn't have the staff to support the seating. I recommend that they go back to restaurant school 101 and realize that making your customers feel like they've taken "crazy pills" is not a good idea. Remove the tables so that your service reflects the labor capacity that you have, duh. Otherwise, you just looks like you do not know how to operate a business or serve your customers! read more

The atmosphere of here is beautiful and elegant. The view was stunning. We got there at 4:50 pm and there was no wait, but got busy very quickly. The waiter was very down to earth and friendly. It looked like he was the only waiter which caused us to wait a little bit longer than normal between visits with him but I honestly loved every part of the restaurant. Our food? AMAZING! I had salmon and it was incredible. My boyfriend had the burger and he said it was one of the best burgers he had. Overall it was great and everyone should try it! read more

My server (older woman, black hair, did not introduce herself so I have NO idea what her name was). Who I was very clear with describing my order, got it wrong. While I do understand it was in the evening and people make mistakes, I had to wait until the rest of my family got their food, enjoyed it, and then some more, to get my correct meal. She also did not check up on us more than once nor do any of the basic server jobs (refill water, getting condiments as two examples). She also got upset with us after we explained how we'd like compensation for her lack of service, which is why I'm writing this review in the first place. Visited restaurant for lunch. Two tables were seated when we arrive. We were seated fairly quickly and our order was taken in a timely manner. Then things went downhill. It took one hour to get our food. The clam chowder in a bread bowl consisted mostly of potatoes and the bottom of the bread bowl was nothing but mush like it had been sitting for awhile.
