Found this outdoor harbor patio close to our Flathead campground. Beautiful patio overlooking Flathead lake and docks. We were acknowledged by staff they would be with us shortly and seating on patio would be a 5 minute wait due to only one server outside. I always appreciate the notice instead of wondering and waiting. Our server, Mia was quick and friendly. We ordered the Anchor fries which was a loaded fry platter and very tasty. The Clam chowder was some of the best I've had. My husband had the Yellowfin tuna salad that looked delicious with plenty of perfectly seared Tuna. We would definitely return! read more

A packed house on a Wednesday night. We didn't have reservations and it would have been at least a 30 minute wait. We found seats at the bar easily. Drinks were made well. There is a smoked old fashioned they kept making for others that seemed really good. I was happy with my Chardonnay and my husband with his draft beer. For appetizers we tried the shrimp cocktail and the clams. The shrimp were tender, but smaller than the description led on. The clams were eh. Many of them had no opened which wouldn't allow us to eat them. The broth was lukewarm too. Not worth trying. Entrees- the scallops were large and cooked perfectly. They came with scoop of white coconut rice that lacked seasoning and a few carrots. Did not seem worth the price tag as the sides were not good and it wasn't much food. Husband had the ribeye. Cooked great. Carrots as a side and a scoop of mashed potatoes. No complaints on this one. read more

My wife and I had a great time visiting the Harbor Grille. I was expecting the food to not be good from the other reviews but we both got burgers and they were excellent. I really liked the cream ale bun, that was a unique touch. The only thing I'd change about our meal is to make the fries a little crispier, but they did still have great flavor. I forgot to take a pic of the burger because I basically inhaled it. Oops. I love that a large majority of their food is local, I really appreciate restaurants that do that. They also built the main dining area out of repurposed marina wood, which I also think is awesome. The waiting staff was over and above attentive and friendly, and so was the hostess. I would sit out on the patio if you can (and if the weather cooperates), the view is right on the lake and spectacular. Just bring a jacket in case they put you in the shade--that lake wind is no joke. Next time we visit the area, we're excited to come back! read more

Such a wonderful last dinner on our Montana/Glacier National Park vacation. We were welcomed immediately. When told there would be a 45 minute wait we were told the bartender would be thrilled to craft a drink for us, which he did. We didn't catch his name, but he was super nice and made some great drinks. Once led to our lovely table overlooking the water, we were warmly greeted by our server. The food was fantastic, atmosphere relaxing and service on point. There are only two things I would change. For this caliber of a restaurant their salad dressings need to be house made and served in something other than a plastic container. Also, the silverware needs an upgrade- it was like what you'd use at a cafeteria. Small details, but sometimes those matter when it comes to overall ambiance. Don't waste your time and money! Hardly anybody in the restaurant, food so improperly cooked (lobster was so overcooked), service took forever! When we told the server about the food, after she had brought the bill, she asked if we wanted to speak to the Manager! She should have spoken to the manager before she ever brought the bill! I was extremely disappointed with our experience tonight. I called to verify the hours before we came, as well as checking hours of operation online. We arrived at 9pm (after being told they are open until 10pm). After standing there for a while, a lady shouted out to us that they were closed and the kitchen was done for the night. It was just very disappointing, as we drove all the way from Kila and hired a babysitter for the occasion. By that time, we were too late to make it back to Kalispell for other options. Great location! Lake view at sunset amazing! Service was very good. Food was excellent with beautiful presentation. It was what I expected for a fine dining price. However... Acoustics were terrible. Very hard to hear what my table-mates were saying over conversations at other tables (glass walls that enabled the view and a hard surface floor did nothing to soften the sound). It was compounded when the live music started. They were excellent and sang some of my favorite hits, but they made it impossible for reasonable conversation. Also the bar is on the side of the dining area opposite the windows. When the sun set and it got dark, I had a beautiful reflection in the window of the TV tuned to MMA fights. Had lunch there. Burger took 45 minutes. A staff person came out to apologize and said the chef did not like how it turned out so he had to re cook it. It took forever and we ordered med rare and it was rare. They did not apologize or offer a glass of wine. Very disappointing. The waiter gave us 30% off burger. $5 off. This place seems to cater to a very la-de-dah clientele that I don't belong to, nor do I care to. But I won't knock off any stars for the pretentious aspects of this restaurant that I found obnoxious. Dropped by on the recommendation of the clerk at the Best Western where we were staying. He said the place had just opened and that it was very good. So, we were up for a meal with a nice view and in that regard this place did not disappoint. The waitress was not having a good day but I won't subtract a star for that because she probably won't still be working there by the time you are reading these reviews and are looking for a place to eat. Had the ale in a pail. The missus didn't like it at all. And for $15 the could have peeled the shrimp, right? Tasty enough though, I guess. The burger was ok.... also tasty and seemed to be a quality burger but for $11 it was unremarkable. A few people on Yelp complained about the fries. I thought they were good. No wet wipes at the end of our meal? This place was better than "OK" but it was not the five star eating establishment they seek to be. I was not disappointed per se but the place was not nearly as good as I expected it to be. YMMV. 9/17/19 update to address the Owner's comments: I hope I was clear that we didn't hate this place. I wasn't crazy about it for the reasons I mentioned but the Missus loved it. Since it is my goal in life to make her happy, if she's happy, I'm happy. And since this restaurant made her happy you got 4 stars. I'll also add that we do appreciate when Owners respond to Yelp reviews in a constructive, non-defensive manner. Some outfits tend to attack reviewers here and/or minimize or blatantly deny their legitimate negative experiences..... it appears that these Owners truly want to work hard to make their restaurant a legendary experience and I wish them well in their endeavor. Probably the biggest influence effecting my review was that our waitress was pretty horrible. I noticed how she was interacting with her la-de-dah patrons and it was decidedly different and a LOT better than the "here's your food, eat it and get lost" vibe she was sending our way. Considering how much I really disliked the experience I feel that a four star review was extremely generous. Had the Missus had anything negative to say about her experience, you would have absolutely gotten a one star review. I don't want to make too big of a deal out of all of this but not liking this place was not just because I had to peel my own shrimp. Had the waitress not treated us like we had leprosy, you would have gotten a fairly vanilla four star review, sans the negative comments. As to your "we welcome everyone" assertion, you clearly missed the mark, at least with us. But that sentiment can flow both ways. Since I don't happen to own a $100,00 sailboat that I can park in a slip in front of the restaurant, your restaurant is not the sort of place where I would ever go alone if I wasn't looking to treat an important person in my life to a nice dinner. Folks reading my reviews can decide for themselves whether a particular venue that I describe might interest them. I happen to like Biker bars that serve amazing burgers. I'm guessing most of your patrons wouldn't be caught dead in one. So no judgments about the clientele you serve and no deduction of stars over that either. Just calling them as I see them. Unlikely that we will ever be back in your area so I have no agenda other than to provide clear, fair, accurate and reasonable reviews here on Yelp. I'm going to start off by saying that this review is in August 2021 (no people, Covid is not gone). Having said that, that's why I'm giving them a pass on the incredibly slow service. I'm talking 3 1/2 hours for lunch. Their Facebook page says they are closed for lunch and open at four. OK. Then I go to their official website which states they open for lunch on Wednesday through Sunday at 11 AM. So we go over there on a Friday at 11:30 AM and guess what, they weren't open. I finally got someone's attention inside and they said they would open at noon. You had to stand outside and wait for them to open the door to let you in. No problem. They only let a few in at a time because they only had one server. I'm going to reiterate, we were there for 3.5 hours! Our server was probably doing her best but good Lord, good thing we didn't need to be anywhere. Now onto the food. There were six of us. Two of us had the fish and chips and agreed the cod breading was extremely greasy. Neither of us got the coleslaw that the menu stated would come with it. 2 had street tacos. While tasty, the tortillas were about the tiniest I've ever seen. Seriously smaller than traditional street taco tortillas size. One person had the chicken salad croissant sandwich. He said the chicken salad had absolutely no flavor. The last person had a burger and she said it was adequate. Let's face it, you don't go there for the food but rather, the beautiful view of the lake. I might give them one more chance just because of the beautiful view. read more

Ok wow! We've been here before with ok service and somewhat decent food. THIS TIME, the hostess was insanely RUDE! It was 4:35 and we came in off the dock with a group of 10 to grab some food. I was polite and did the right thing and walked to the hostess stand to be helped. She was rude as she looked me up and down and let us know they weren't open to serve us even though other people were eating and the Tiki bar was full. No explanation. No signs posted. We took our party of 10 and our money to another establishment! We don't live very far away. Probably don't treat people like garbage especially when tourism is your bread and butter!!!! read more
