I first went to Menards and then Home Depot and they all said the same thing - we have the screen materials and tool kit but we don't do that type of work. In fact, Menards specifically mentioned Skokie Ace. So I came in and we got what I would consider a fair estimate for 8 of my screens. Now - could I have done this job myself? Of course, and I say that without flinching. The question was, do I sacrifice a Saturday afternoon to replace all of these screens? No, because I could be Yelping. I decided to pay for this work to buy some time. You may disagree but my Cost vs. Benefits analysis led to drop off all of my screens. I opted for aluminum this time and they were all expertly replaced in a matter of days. Excellent customer service by Carlos of Skokie Ace. I received two messages informing me to pick up my screens. Updating my review…read more 1. The store management finally responded after I threatened to file a small claim against them after 8 emails. 2. Their fix is to process a return, take everything back, and do a new order for the bed and have us wait an extra 3 months. 3. For the inconvenience, they determined that a 10% refund was all they were willing to do for their mess up leading to us sleeping on the ground for 5 months total. That's $270. That barely even covers the cost of the Uhaul we had to get to go pick up the bed from the Naperville warehouse. 4. Customer service was unbelievably rude (I was nice because they didn't personally cause the problem) and repeatedly said I had to deal with store management before they would deal with us. See comment 1. Crate and Barrel has beautiful furniture. Their logistics and customer service are the worst of any furniture company I have ever dealt with. Skip them. It's not worth it at all. Will never be purchasing from CB again.

Even though I only know how to make omelettes but ahem, I do cut vegetables, avocado, chicken, and steak. So Zwilling has been making knives since the 1700s, they're like the Porsche of German steel. We were immediately attracted to the 20 piece Pro which is made in Soligen, Germany. We wanted a natural block but they was outta stock (hey that rhymes), I'm about to bust it!! So we went with the darker block. Ahem, the knives are incredibly sharp and the set looks very well made. I'm very pleased and thus far, I've cut avocado, broccoli and chicken breast, and hot dogs (from Omaha steaks - but that's a different review) using an assortment of knives - dang, be careful!! Five (5) stars to David, he was exceptional in servicing us despite the number of people in the store, he answered a multitude of our questions like he was being paid by the question.
