They knew exactly what I was looking for and helped me pick out the right size flood barrier for my porch. They were a little pricey, but the price was a little less than what I saw on Amazon. I never took it out of my truck, never started or used it in any way. Took it back in an hour after purchasing. The manager told me all sales were final and refused to take it back. I explained I was never told no returns. I certainly am used to being treated more professionally with any vendor. I think they made it up because they had no posting or anything about no returns. $700 dollars and last thing I needed was two of them. Should have been a common courtesy especially since unit not even being started or added fuel. My credit card is disputing and removing the payment. Thank God for a professional company like Bank of America. They have professional service.

When he recommended something to me, I simply took his advice. Usually, I do a ton of research before I buy anything significant, but I didn't do this with him. We ended up having terrible problems installing the controls for the shower. Michael stepped up and provided assistance to get the problem resolved. This included two house visits with another plumber. I don't think very many salespeople would have gone to this trouble to help a customer resolve a problem. Throughout the process, Michael was always responsive and "on our side" to get the shower working. Michael has is now the manager and I'm sure his staff is following his example of how to treat a customer. My bathroom is now done, and I couldn't be happier with everything I got from Wilkinson's. For a variety of unrelated reasons, the renovation was a nightmare and Wilkinson's/Michael was the only part of it that was positive.

It's difficult to suggest they are competitive when their stock is limited to empty slots for what might be competitively priced items and large selection of higher priced items. As Angela pointed out, the staff isn't particularly proactive about finding out when items will be re-stocked or helping a potential customer find what they need. I cannot remember how many times I've walked in here only to walk out empty handed because I could not find what I was looking for and there was little or no help from staff. If the savings (extra gas and time vs price tag of items) is worth it for me to head to a big box store, off I'll go. Latest example for me was stopping this past weekend to find a new faucet for a bathroom sink. There were only one or two brands available at this T&C location, and nothing on the shelf under $40. That's not to say there wasn't something priced under $40, it just wasn't in stock. Off to the Big Blue Borg box store I went and found exactly what I was looking for, for about $25. That's more than enough of a difference for me to shop at the big box stores. For small items, T&C isn't a bad place to stop, for specific home projects that might end up in a higher price range - it might be wise to do some www research before stopping in.

I purchased a NEW self propelled lawn mower from the Newbern Ave Raleigh. The mower was 500 plus…read moretax. The first time I used the mower was a couple days after I bought it. The mower kept trying to turn off and the self propel feature is not working. The only way to find out these things didn't work was to put gas and oil in it to use it. When I went to the store to see about warranty or return, I was told that since I put gas and oil in it that it can not be returned. And if I pay them up front to diagnose it would cost me $60. And I would have to pay for anything they find that the manufacture warranty wouldn't pay for. I am currently waiting on the district manager to respond. At this point I no longer wish to do business with them. This is not how you treat customers.
