And did you know that some doors at G&W come with hardware while others dont? We didnt either. G&W said the final delivered door was correct per the architectural plans. But there were conversations since then about this door changing its swing. On April 9, we agreed to split the cost of the final door, which is due in June, long after construction.

I am GC'ing our personal total house remodel, a first for me although I have done major remodeling…read moreon 3 past homes. We are blowing out the old small windows and framed in huge, non-standard size windows. This is complicated by the fact the house is a 1950's Brick Ranch house, changing window sizes on a brick house not recommended (lesson learned). So, when it came time to order windows I researched how to measure correctly, read code requirements and went to two locally recommended shops. After going back and forth for 3-4 weeks, and both refusing to double check my measurements (I was unsure of my accuracy and once bought, you own the windows, no refunds). A construction company we hired to help with the brick work and window install recommended Gaston and Wyatt. We called them, they came out and we walked through the house, discussing our goals and they made recommendations. They caught a couple code issues I missed being a rookie (and codes change). They solved a few window size, opening and style questions for us, and they measured everything. We had our windows installed last week (and a big sliding glass door) and it is beautiful. They are quality windows that fit wonderfully in the space. I am so relieved, no reorders, no delays, no reworks or adjustments. The windows just fit, and work wonderfully. Go with a pro, it makes a difference.

We always find what we need at Batteries Plus in Charlottesville, Va., and the staff is so helpful…read more Recently, In May, I was buying batteries (on a good sale) and having trouble with my cell phone - a problem that even Tracfone was unable to solve. I asked THOMAS about it and he correctly solved the problem in just a few minutes by telling me what to do - without charging me for the advice (!).. As soon as I got home, I followed his advice - and guess what - my Tracfone cell phone is now working perfectly and doing what I want it to do. THOMAS was a lifesaver!! Thank you so much - and also for being there when we need good batteries. Annie and Mack Rowe, Madison, Va.

They were also very clear and upfront about the price estimate, which i appreciated very much.

My son arrived on campus as a first year just one week ago and was planning to try out for the club Tennis team. He met on Friday with a couple of new first years to play doubles, and his racket frame broke. He was disappointed! I contacted this location and the amazing staff and wonderful owner, Troy, offered to deliver a racket to him since we are not local and he does not have a car. I sent an email on Friday night and had a response from Troy within an hour. By Saturday morning at 1, the racket was in my son's hand And he is now prepared for tomorrow. Troy, thank you!!! You went well above and beyond to help us with this situation and your efforts are so appreciated!! It's been a big transition week for him, so this was a step in the right direction of trying to get involved and now you have helped him be able to participate tomorrow with his own racket. THANK YOU!!
