I received a call from the Landlord "Ms.D" informed me that the unit I filled out was commercial but there was another unit available for $1,200 a month, above what I initially filled out for @ $1050 but I liked the layout of the unit and the area the building is located. She asked what my credit score was (700+) and if I would be moving with a roommate because I don't make enough to rent the unit alone ( which is 60K+ a year) WHAT!!! The one star is due to AFTER running my credit she proceeds to tell me that on top of the security deposit ($1200) 1st months rent($1200) I would also have to pay Landlord insurance (1000+). The median income in this area is 43k a year, 10% of Baltimore city's homes and apartment buildings are vacant, how dare you speak about being for the community on you website but want to charge that same community more money at your convenience. You issue landlord insurance when you decide to take a chance on your community, with someone who has had evictions, whose credit score is not the best, not with someone who's been with the same company for plus years with a decent income no evictions and an good credit Score. I hope this Management company is working to be better tomorrow then they are today.

Updated 2/2022: This place continues to be a (literal) hot mess. There was a fire in someone's unit…read morea few days ago and residual smoke and haze continues to linger in the halls. One of the elevators has a huge puddle of dog pee. Management continues to dig their own grave by delaying repairs - the dog pee has now soaked through the elevator floor (so the floor now needs to be replaced instead of just mopped), and the smoke and haze from the fire has seeped into the carpets and walls of the building. I have not heard anything about a plan for cleaning and would be SHOCKED if anything ever is back to its previous non-smelly state.

Two years later, I'm still tied up in the eviction process. Their offshore staffing model (Philippines) means communication is slow, inconsistent, and often outside U.S. business hours, which only made the situation worse. Their lack of oversight has cost me thousands in repairs and legal fees. I would not recommend BMG to any landlord who values proper screening or timely management

A little about me I am an 22 year Active Duty Service member Navy who was super skeptical of renting my property and was gonna sell 5 years ago. In talking with a colleague he convinced me that owning a rental is a smart idea and can really generate some passive income. He referred me to Melissa at POM who simply bridged the gap and eased my stresses of becoming a landlord. Today, because of Melissa and her team I am a success, I was able to deploy overseas on two separate tours and leave my home in the palms of her teams "Golden Hands" The day I moved out I turned over keys to a 4 year renter and had "Zero" issues. In Nov 2021, I got the sad news my 4 year renters were moving out end of December. Terrible service from viewing listing to asking questions about the property. After a month no…read moreresolution on reported problems at the property. Then they said it wasn't their problem and I as the tenant needed to contact the HOA again after a month of inquiry. There was no HOA the email bounced back. Then the tenants were told they needed to provide MORE pictures to the head of maintenance again of the issue despite the listing agent taking pictures for POM, the plumber provided pictures, the maintenance person took and provided pictures and the head maintenance had visited the property 2 days b4 move in and should have pictures. We asked for a decrease in rent for the ongoing issue and/or a phone call. Head of maintenance said it wasnt POMs fault so no decrease. I said well it certainly was not OUR FAULT. We received an email from Melissa to end the lease no conversation. Which we happily took. And from move in to move out ~ 20 days of communication there were more than 86 emails for submission and system response to maintenance requests and over 40 texts. Meld is the system and its terrible. I would not recommend this property mgmt in any way. I forgot we were forced to take an earlier move in date and then attend to no less than 4 different plumbing appointments on our time and dime that all should have been taken care of in advance. And no staff accountability.
