This place is a joke. Third time this year I got there and they were closed way earlier than the posted hours on the door which says "Ooen 7 days a week 10:30am-9:30pm. Tonight I arrived at 8:51pm. The open sign still illuminated in the window but when I tried to go in and order carry-out, the women behind the counter just stared at me. They may have taken my order if I'd went through the drive-thru but I wanted to try something different, so I wanted to go in to see the menu and ask for recommendations, rather than hold up the drive thru but, I guess not. So yeah, don't expect to be allowed in after 8:30 and if you try to call in an order, they stop taking orders at 9:00pm. read more

We ordered from Happy Wok on Eastpark Court for the first time. We ordered the almond chicken, four seasons and the sampler platter. The almond chicken was a disappointment and they seemed to be cheap with the vegetables. There was more celery than any other vegetable, which was super crunchy and not cooked enough, in my opinion. The carrots were cut in small cubes and were almost nonexistent. The bamboo was cut thickly and cubed and very crunchy. There was an ample number of mushrooms and almonds. Overall, this dish was very bland. My husband somewhat liked the four season dish as they were able to make it to his spice factor. However, again, there was very little vegetables in the dish. The extra spice factor hit home for him as he likes hot and spicy food but overall, he thought his dish was bland. The sampler platter contained egg rolls, spring rolls, crab Rangoon, fried wonton, fried shrimp and fried crab stick. The egg and spring rolls were more wrapper than filling and were dry and tasteless. I did try a fried wonton but I couldn't eat the rest as it looked like ground meat and tasted horrible. I did not try the fried shrimp or crab stick and cannot comment on it. We will not order from Happy Wok again. read more

We order often from here and love it. Love the ease of online ordering. My husband loves the orange chicken, and I love the curry chicken. I also work nearby so I am a frequent flyer, or home that they deliver to. I do want to point out that the curry chicken is not always consistent. I haven't had on order that I did not like. Sometimes it's extra spicy, or has an extra curry taste. And sometimes it is extra saucy. Again, I have liked each variety, it's a nice little surprise. Not sure if other items on the menu are the same or not. However, we also love the egg drop soup and crabrangoons, we like it creamy! The service has always been great. About $24 plus a tip. You know how the car smells after a drive home with Chinese takeout in it? Usually great. My first clue should have been....Hey this just smells like a bag of hot nothing. Both of these entrees lacked the flavor you want in this cuisine. The Lo Mien was kind of dry with a cementy texture. It tasted like it was only flavored with soy sauce. The pork was OK. A touch of 5 spice, a little rice wine and sesame oil would have gone a long way. The chicken and broccoli was better tasting. But the meat was kind of mushy. The tice was perfect. A little hidden Chinese place over off American Parkway, Happywok is what I would consider the bar when I think of Chinese food. Nothing is going to blow you away, but there also isn't really anything to complain about either. My family got the cashew chicken, Hunan super, spicy chicken, and egg rolls. All of these come with free white rice or upgrade to any type of fried rice for $4.50. All in all, it came out to $36 for a ton of food and, if you order through their website online, you can get free additions if you reach a dollar amount (we got a free General Tso ). A lot of the reviews were complaining about the spice and flavor by saying they were lacking. I did not find this to be the case, but I am well versed in Chinese dishes that actually have some heat vs the ones that might have a chili here and there. Overall, Happywok gets the job done if you're craving cheap chinese food. read more

And the are super fast with delivery! (Granted, we are super close to their location). Even over the busy lunch hour, we never have to wait long. The portions are good-sized and the prices are fair. The drive through option is also convenient. I'm a little bummed tonight though. I ordered teriyaki chicken, expecting something really yummy and a good teriyaki sauce, but this isn't that at all. The chicken is red on the outside (not in an undercooked way, just the color after cooking). I honestly thought it was strawberries in my rice for a second. Maybe I'm just not used to this form of teriyaki? I don't know. I've had their sweet and sour chicken and it's great. I wouldn't recommend their teriyaki chicken though. read more

We ordered online and picked up in the drive-thru because of everything going on with Covid-19. Ordering online was easy. I like getting the free chicken fried rice for ordering $25 or more. They have lots of great coupons for free items when you spend so much. They were busy, which I expected, on this Saturday evening. Online order said it would be ready at 6:18pm. We ordered online around 5:45pm. Arrived about 4th car in line, told them I had an online order. They asked me to pull to the side. No more than a few minutes, someone came out to my car with our food. The food was outstanding. It's been a few years since we had ordered from them since we moved away from our Brookside Dr. apt. Ordered the family shrimp lo mein, sweet and sour everything (shrimp, chicken and pork), fried dumplings, crab Rangoon and Mongolian beef. Received the free chicken fried rice. Everything was hot and fresh. The shrimp in the lo mein has a wonderful garlic flavor. Fried dumplings were delicious. Nothing was cold or not fresh. Excellent customer service and fantastic food. Used to order from here frequently. Last night's order, the beef in every dish was inedible. Chewy strips of gristly, pale garbage. The Mai Fun was okay, after I removed ALL of the meat. But then I realized there was all sorts of grit in the food, likely from unwashed veggies. My egg rolls were chewy, salty and dry. I absolutely believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, but also believe that everyone can have a bad day (including those who run restaurants). I just can't fathom the number of negative reviews here. I have never been lukewarm, let alone disappointed in the speed of my delivery, the taste or the temperature of my food at Happy Wok. I cannot even believe these people. I called at 9:25 at night for a pick up. Right after I placed my order, the store actually called me back and basically yelled at me for placing an order with them because the lobby was already closed. Your hours are until 10 o'clock at night. I said aren't you open until 10 o'clock? And they said yes but we want to get out of here. Him... Not my problem? so should I be placing an order and seeing if you're still open, call them and see or you gonna stay open? Like that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. The most insulting and ridiculous thing I have ever heard of. Never, ever have I ever been made to feel bad for placing an order that was well within the time that is expected For me to be able to get there way before they even close. I was there at 45 minutes after which is 15 minutes before they close. I did not place an order at 9:59 PM. I feel bad leaving a bad review, but this was some of the least flavorful, bland food I've had. The rice has nothing in it. It's like steamed white rice with a little soy sauce that you can't taste. The "hot spicy chicken" was not spicy in the least and it was so bland. Tasted like the only seasoning this place knows is moderate amounts of soy sauce. Best Chinese food in the area and they have a pretty wide delivery range. They are always super friendly. Food has never been anything less than piping hot. The restaurant is super clean and you can see into the back clean, well organized kitchen. They also have a drive thru. I love that you can order a lunch portion even though it's dinner time.
