Asian Garden is a gem. Heard good reports but our experience far exceeded our expectations. Food was beautifully prepared and cooked to perfection. Started with pork egg rolls. They were delicious. Wifey ordered Curry Chicken with vegetables. I had a Chicken with vegetables Szechuan style. Both dishes were quite spicy and very hot, but not unexpected. We should have asked for a milder version. Chicken was plentiful in both dish and vegetables were outstanding as you can see from the pictures. Fried rice came with each order. Quality of the food was excellent and portions were generous. Service was fast and friendly. Will definitely return . Highly recommend without any reservations. Good value and plenty of choices. read more

The rice was the best part of that dish. The chicken was horrible thought I was going to get food poisoning, also the chicken was very cold no seasoning. The service was pretty good. The looks inside where an average Asian restaurant overall it deserves a 2 star won't be coming back again. Huge selection of dishes in this quaint Asian restaurant. Both dishes we ordered were average: Shrimp Egg Foo Young and Moo Goo Gai Pan (chicken & vegetables). Like most restaurants, you really have to try many dishes to i.d. the standouts. If I lived nearby I would definitely take up this challenge. read more

This place is fantastic! I've ordered from here countless times and it's always excellent. The people are so friendly and make waiting for your to-go order enjoyable! it's definitely one of the best spots in Waunakee. Booths are available if you want to eat there but I always take my food to go. It's well packaged and steaming hot when I get home. read more

My daughter and I were in Waunakee and she wanted something other than Culvers for lunch - which is rare. I saw the solid reviews and decided to go here. We shared dumplings (half fried, half steamed) and we each got a chicken dish with rice and broccoli. Portions were huge, staff was friendly, prices were reasonable. read more

I was really in the mood for some orange chicken tonight, but unfortunately I wasn't satisfied by going to Asian Garden. I got a simple order of orange chicken with fried rice. The fried rice was good, however the chicken was very dry. I had pieces of chicken that were so dry they were see through and were like plastic. I wished I would've been able to try the food had it been made fresh. read more

I wrote a glowing review of this place on 5/21 and have been back once after that. It was terrible. I actually wrote to the restaurant to tell them of my experience but received no reply from them. We ended up throwing out the entire order. It was that bad! I decided to not go back for a while after that. They were very busy that night and even when I was there on time to pick up my order it was another 30 minutes before I got it. Same with the others that were there patiently waiting. No explanation from the staff. That said, after nine months or so I decided to try it again on a Wednesday evening. My order was on time and for the most part the food was very good. Fresh and tasty and plenty of it. The one exception was the egg drop soup. It had a distinct lemon taste to it that was not pleasant when i was expecting the normal taste of egg drop. It's kind of odd here too that even though they had my telephone number and my name and I was the only person there at the time, I had to describe what I ordered before the guy would give me my order. There was only one order there on the pickup counter but he acted like there was some problem with the phone number or something. It was the same last time I was there. In closing I would say when they are not busy you have a good chance to get decent Chinese food here but not sure that would be true on a busy Friday or Saturday night. If the order taker says "were are very, very busy" I would skip ordering that night . Apparently the kitchen gets overwhelmed easily and can put out sub standard food when under pressure. I will try the Garden again in the near future. read more

Great food at a fair price. I get 2 meals, spouse 3 meals with takeout order. Large number of choices to order, makes it hard for me, I want to try them all. Never had a poor choice, all taste great. They have in house seating. Most meals upper single digit/low teens. read more
