Staffs were friendly, this is like a whole in the wall, all the foods are made ready to eat. There's tiny place where you can stand and eat for 2 people but, it is very small and tight place. Food: 3/5 Service: 3/5 Ambience: 3/5

This place is super affordable and always gets the job done. It's seperate by two sides- one for bakery goodies and drinks and another for cheurng fun (rice rolls) and warm food. You can add extra toppings like egg and scallion to your cheurng fun and add sauce afterwards. This is a great spot for cheap local eats!

I brought a sugar cane drink $3.50. Very refreshing and not too sweet. Service was fast no frills. Only one person working there. It's very old school and a bit run down but they have a wide variety of bake goods and dim sum at a low cost.

An inexpensive hole-in-the wall Chinese bakery. Don't know what they actually make here, but found it's a great place to grab some savory bites or snacks when I'm in the neighborhood. Love their roast pork buns!

Cheap / Sugar Less Cakes. Take out only. always a large line but it goes quickly. Most of the cakes are gone, the end of The Day, You can ask for plastic Folks if you needed. the cakes are made the same day!

We used to love this place cuz it's fast, cheap and convenient. But this really traumatized me when I ordered their breakfast combo and ate the whole sandwich only to find that the bread was moldy. This is absolutely unacceptable and disgusting. Will never come back and suggest everyone to check their food if you eat there

Who doesn't love a hole-in-the-wall bakery that sells a variety of good eats? Yo, they make FRESH churn fun! For a fraction of the price that crappy Joe place in Canal St. Market. *sideeye* included. We've been here quite a few times while visiting family in Chinatown and the bakery offers up pretty good baos and lai-cha (bakery on the right) and we always end up grabbing quite a few hot food items (hot food on the left). My kids love their version of the ham & egg bao; with fluffy eggs & a slice of ham stuffed & baked inside the bao. Right next door - the fried "gaow-ji" is pre-cooked and then the lovely ladies fried them up! It's deliciously stuffed with pork & veggies! The steamed pearl chicken - aka - glutinous rice stuffed with minced pork; is one of my kids' favorite. Total cost usually lands me about $13 for all the goods! (2 fried dumplings, 2 fresh shrimp churn fun, 3 Jun Ji Cai). It's a small cozy shop, grab & go! The hot food has a few stools for anyone looking for some alone time. A dang good alternative to those pricey dim sum places. #happyfeasting

Scallion bun with foil.

I have been going to this bakery for about two years. They have inexpensive breakfast items and they taste decent. Since it's just around the corner, it's a great grab and go place especially for my kids to have something before they go to school. A complaint I have been holding back until now to write about is their lack of good customer service. They yell at you when they ask for you order. Today I had the worst experience, I asked if they more items in the back. One lady angrily yelled how many as if I was bothering her when I asked if there were more buns in the back. When she came out with the wrong bun, she again yelled at me for not saying it clearly and it was my fault that she pulled the wrong bun out. Regardless of who was wrong, where is the good customer service? Maybe I'll get more respect if I order like how they treat their customers. Updated: as I was eating my bun, I found a strip of foil in the bun.

Always fresh baked goods! Really affordable! I always pickup items for outdoor trips. They are perfect for picnic snacks. Customer service is always

Good Chinese bakery for a quick grab and go for breakfast as you catch the train or bus or a quick snack as you go. Place is small and split to 2 shops. Been mainly to the right side to pick up buns. Located outside of Chinatown but does get crowded as folks go to work or taking kids to school. Prices are decent $1-$2 for buns. They also have coffee/tea, other cold drinks, and cakes as well.. a variety of breakfast buns to choose from. Ham & egg, swiss, roast pork buns, coconut filled buns are good... After 7pm, there is usually a line out the door as they give a discount on the buns as they make it fresh daily. Note: This place is Cash only.

I have been having mixed feelings about this place recently. I have been going to this place for years and it has alway been my go to place for Asian bakeries especially birthday cakes. But lately some of the items have not been good. The egg tart and sesame balls are still delicious and I have no complaints. They are just the way I like them. The single cake slices and chicken sandwich I had was not good at all. The cake was dry and the fruit in the center of the cake between the layers was not fresh at all. The chicken sandwich tasted old like the chicken was bad so I just ate the bun with the mayo. I have gotten it here many times over the last few years but the last two times has been disappointing. Hope they fix this problem because I am only going to give it one more try.

Great place to get affordable Chinese pastries. I usually get the sesame ball. If you are looking for great fresh pasties, this is the spot. Be sure to get there early for the best selection.

This is my favorite takeout spot in all of Chinatown, possibly in all of NYC. Note that this place consists of a bakery (on the right side) and a hot food restaurant (with four to five stools for seating, on the left side). The value and efficiency cannot be beat. Bakery: My go-to pastry is the taro bun ($1), which, when warm and fresh, is so soft in the brioche-like bun and comes with a generous amount of sweet taro paste. The crumbly sugar top (similar to what is found in the pineapple buns) give it extra texture. They have most of the other buns that are found in Chinese bakeries, such as roasted pork, red bean paste, and coconut buns as well as egg tarts. I also like their fried chestnut cakes (made with agar for a jelly-like texture) and fried taro cakes (nian gao). While I generally avoid sweetened drinks, a good variety of novel teas and juices with chia seeds, tapioca pearls, sago, etc. are also available. Their prices are competitive with other establishments. Restaurant: So many options! The options range from dimsum options (e.g. steamed dumplings, changfeng, shiu mai, etc.), Western breakfast options (e.g. toast for $1), to vegetable sides and meals with rice (chicken and mushroom for $2.95 is particularly good), and much, much more. The service is fast and efficient. Even though they've priced slightly recently, the food is still a great value and as good as what you'd find at other Chinese restaurants for cheaper. The location right by the F stop is also prime and an easy stop on the way to work.

Awesome fresh steamed rice crepes made to order. Quick and cheap breakfast spot. It's cramped but the line moves quick.

There was a short wait, but from what I could see, a variety of tables here and seating. Not the biggest place, dark, intimate, wood accents and small spotlights over tables. We ordered buns and spicy edamame to start. It seemed like we had just ordered when the food came out. Love that. Buns were incredibly good - a close second to a joint in Chicago we ate at last weekend. Succulent meat, plenty of sauce, and just the usual pillowy bun. The edamame didn't seem spicy at first - then my face melted. Still good but a deep burning spiciness to them as advertised. For my entree I got the beef miso ramen, adding corn and an egg. The corn wasn't just a pile of kernels - but a side slice of a cob. Cool presentation. Beef was good and the broth soothed my soul. Top 10 ramen places I've been - well done.

We tried the spicy shrimp (coconut based broth), spicy tonkatsu, and salmon miso ramen. The tonkatsu and salmon were both cooked well - tender and moist. Ramen noodles were thin and well cooked - more al dente. We also tried the karaage which had a thick crispy batter and a sweet glaze, with an optional spicy side sauce for dipping. They had a variety of sake and beer options. The inside is small but turnaround is fairly quick. Lots of two seaters and a large table that we were able to snag after just a few minutes of waiting. There was also bar seating. Pretty dark inside to add to the ambiance for a quick date or catch up with friends. Checked in to the waitlist via Resy because we didn't have a reservation, and it was a short wait. Service was prompt.

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

I hadn't been to EDH in a while and was happy to see they do have later hours (with a smaller late night menu). The place was pretty busy at 10:00 PM last Saturday, with a wide range of diners, which is good for business. The food though, at least that night, was really disappointing. My friend had the chicken dumplings. He said they were okay. I thought they were overcooked. My steamed shrimp shumai were fine, but steamed, they didn't have much flavour. The edamame, on the other hand, had way too much when it should have almost none. I don't know if it was excess salt, MSG or something else, but not good. I should have sent them back. I hope this was just an off night for the kitchen.

For my combo, I got a Sukiyaki Beef onigiri, which was my fave one, and a Salmon onigiri, which was fine, just a bit plainer than I'd like. But, I like that they added furikake seasoning throughout it to add flavor. I didn't care much for their sides - the egg was too sweet for my liking and the pickled carrots were too soft. I ordered an addtl Kinko (mushroom) onigiri bc I was quite hungry and it was alright. Def a lighter taste. Overall, a decent spot for a solid, reliable, good bite!
