Warning! Stay far, far away from this place! This place was recommended by my physician (don't…read moreworry - I've warned her to stop sending people here!), and it has been an absolute nightmare of an experience. Communication is absolutely horrendous. They use a call center to route all of their calls even during business hours so it is rare and difficult to reach a human at the actual office. You have the option to communicate via text but don't bother because no one responds. There's an online patient portal that can be used for messages as well. That's probably your best bet but it's still dicey. CPAP supplies are impossible. Laura is nice but she is only 1 person. With only 1 point person for CPAP supplies, getting to them or having any help managing supply reorders is purely luck based. They send out a mass email soliciting orders for resupply but no one ever seems to actually do anything with the responses? To try and make your supply ordering easier, they will offer to outsource you to another vendor for supplies. You will happily take them up on it. That will not actually be handled, and you'll be right back in the same cycle of insanity with TSM. Your video appointments will start with a "medical assistant" reading from scripted questions, not listening to understand your response, and then you'll see the "doctor" who will ask the same questions. If you're extra lucky, they will also offer you GLP-1's without any background in dietetics or knowing anything about your history of eating disorders. And when it comes to billing, they will keep a card on file. But they have an arbitrary limit of a cumulative $1500 maximum for what they will charge that card over any period of time. They will fail to tell you that this is their policy or notify you that you've hit that limit. Bonus: To make things extra fun, even with a card on file and before the $1500 limit is reached you will get at least 3 notifications of your monthly balance. So you will ignore them, until you get a call from their office holding your CPAP supplies because you've hit that limit and now have a past due balance. (Karina, you're a real gem!) And if you want to talk to the practice manager about any of these concerns, good luck. The elusive Bianca has been "in a meeting" since at least June 2026. Posting this review at both of their office locations because the NP who I was assigned (?) to is out of their south office. The CPAP Wrangler is at their North office. And I have no clue where billing or management are.

She did a head CT that revealed a deviated septum, and referred me to Dr. Wassmuth. I was quite impressed by the kindness, courtesy, and professionalism when I first visited the office of Capitol Otolaryngology. Dr. Wassmuth examined my nose and suggested balloon sinuplasty with turbinate reduction. After much trepidation, I scheduled the surgery, which is done in-office. The process of fixing my nose didn't take all that long. The anesthesiologist, Dr. Jack Carsner, was excellent, as were all those I met in the operating room. The procedure apparently went off without a hitch, and my husband drove me home where I rested the remainder of the day. Within a day or so I was feeling much better. I am still considered to be recovering after a week, but have already experienced noticeable improvements in my breathing. My husband says my snoring was virtually gone within a day after the procedure. I've had a variety of seemingly-minor health concerns, that when put together, have led to other problems. Snoring, dry mouth, dental issues, and poor sleep quality turned out to have (at least in part) had a common root cause in breathing problems. Hopefully all will improve or resolve before very long. If you have any kind of breathing problems, including snoring and symptoms like dry mouth when you awaken, you may benefit from a visit to Dr. Wassmuth. I highly recommend his medical practice.

I went to Sinus & Snoring Specialists for breathing difficulty, sinus symptoms, and concerns about…read morea prior sinus surgery. In March 2023, Dr. Slaughter performed the following surgeries to resolve my issues: balloon sinuplasty, septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and rhinoplasty. After surgery, my issues were still present and I had more difficulty breathing. At my post-op appointment, Dr. Slaughter's PA documented a newly acquired nasal-valve collapse and told me to wear nasal strips (which I did not have to wear prior to surgery). After almost a year of dealing with the collapse, Dr. Slaughter performed a VivAer procedure. Although there was some improvement, I continued to have breathing and structural concerns. At my February 2024 follow-up appointment, my concerns were minimized and I was, again, told to use nasal strips. I left that appointment assuming there was nothing more that could be done and I was permanently stuck with a collapsed nasal cavity and very minimal structural support. I was also disappointed by the communication and follow-up regarding the rhinoplasty portion of my surgery. I did not feel that the specific rhinoplasty plan, including what existing structural support might be removed or replaced, was adequately discussed with me. I later sought independent ENT evaluations because my sinus headaches became too intense to ignore. Those evaluations documented reduced tip support, mobile anterior cartilage that is not secured to the nasal spine (seen in photos below), marked narrowing of the left internal and external nasal valves, and a need for further functional reconstruction with grafting. Both of these ENT's stated the graft removal is a large part of the reason for the collapse. I now have to pay $13k out of pocket to reconstruct my nose with my own rib cartilage. Due to the cost of the reconstruction, I requested a refund of the $7k I paid for surgeries with Dr. Slaughter. I requested the reimbursement via his office manager after she replied to my Yelp review (which was removed from this page) stating she was willing to discuss my issues. I thought they would be amenable to hearing my concerns but, instead of treating me like a patient with a financial burden caused by a failed surgery at his office, Dr. Slaughter had his insurance company send me a letter stating that they will not reimburse me (see photo). They issued this letter without any information regarding what the two other ENT's found when they examined me. After receiving the letter and reading the word "settlement," I checked the public records. Dr. Slaughter currently has a malpractice case open in Travis County (as of September 2026). For patients considering complex nasal surgery, revision rhinoplasty, grafting, or combined functional and cosmetic procedures, I encourage getting more than one specialist opinion, asking for a clear written surgical plan, and discussing exactly what support structures or grafts may be preserved, removed, or replaced. I also highly encourage people to seek ENT services elsewhere, unless you want to be told you need a balloon sinuplasty on all of your sinuses, a septoplasty, and turbinate reduction.

After not hearing from the office for over 2 weeks, I called and was told that they had not received my coverage info from my insurance. I called back a few days later and was told the same thing, so I decided to call my insurance. My insurance said they had zero contact from Texas Sleep Medicine and immediately offered to call their office while I was on the line with them. The office staff said their benefits coordinator Mary Ann was out of the office, so my insurance rep left her a very detailed message explaining how they can call to verify my coverages and verify if prior authorization is needed. I called Texas Sleep Medicine back a few days later, which was now over 3 weeks since I had originally been seen by them, and found that they still had not done anything on their end to verify my coverages with my insurance. Today, I received an email from Ashley Hernandez that said they would be willing to schedule my sleep study without insurance for $700 if I would like to go that route. After they had not contacted my insurance for over three weeks, they were suggesting I go the cash-pay route for $700 rather than use the insurance I was begging them to contact for weeks. Waiting over three weeks simply to verify insurance is completely unacceptable, especially when my insurance has reached out to Texas Sleep Medicine directly to assist. Do not waste your time trying to work with Texas Sleep Medicine. Their office staff is completely inept and their office managers have no clue what is going on with their patients.
