HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, PROCESS, EVERYTHING. These people set up a call, 20min late. Said it would take up to 10 days to get my appointment set for an at home sleep study. Ghosted for A MONTH. I try to schedule the appointment myself. ON HOLD FOR OVER AN HOUR. Absolute shit show being run here.

Terrible appointment process. Office staff was distracted, no eye contact. One other person came in with a billing problem.

Laura at the north office is very detailed, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Which for a newbie to CPAPs like me was very welcomed.

The sleep study was comprehensive, convenient and professional. The results were undeniable. I needed a CPAP machine. All equipment, the study, and all subsequent replacement supplies have been 100% covered by Medicare (with supplemental insurance). All follow-up appointments have been with the doctor's nurse practitioner, Monique Mulvany, and have been completely satisfactory. She carefully reviews ongoing progress and is ready to modify equipment orders at my request when improved masks become available. I've changed face mask several times to improve my comfort, and this office has made the process remarkably easy. It's useful to understand that after the initial study, the equipment prescription for Medicare patients (and probably other insurance providers) needs to be handed off to an approved equipment supplier. That supplier, in turn, needs to receive all the appropriate forms from the medicare (or other insurer) system. The time lag is weeks. It can be frustrating. Once the approvals are completed, a visit is scheduled with the supplier (XMED) which can add more time. Welcome to the world of insurance and "medicare approved" suppliers. None of this takes away from what I believe was a very positive, professional experience with a very busy sleep disorder practice. I'm sleeping perfectly and the follow-up experience has been great. Even that equipment supplier has proven to be reliable and thoroughly helpful, even if the initial experience was maddening.

I was given the opportunity to see a physician for my initial consultation, and able to do sleep testing from home (as simple as putting on an Apple watch!) CPAP set up was informative, and they checked in on me regularly to make sure everything was going well. I would definitely trust this group with my medical care.

How funny. I noticed by accident that I'm linked to this Yelp page even though I only mentioned…read morethem in another review. Yelp must have a remarkable algorithm to connect sources. First let me say that the doctor Duhon (who seems to get the brunt of the criticism - I've never met him) doesn't seem to be at this center any more. Just see the page - translate sleepdoctor and dot and com The only doctor I had been seeing (Dr. Das) at the center is at a different address, on Bee Cave Road near downtown. You can see their website at ansaustin dot com Dr. Das is fabulous, talented and genuine. She has a brilliant and powerful intuition about how to heal patients. And at the same time she's a very kind soul. She has helped me enormously. I trust her implicitly and of course make sure to exactly follow her recommendations. I will admit that one or two times I had to call her on her decisions. There are times when each of us needs to stand up for what we think with any doctor we might be seeing. Such as the basis for side effects. But I can be a pushy broad when it comes to my health and in my experience that's the sort of problem I've had with most doctors over the years. My first visit with a different doctor in that same center was not helpful. Probably a personality conflict between us. Being able to see Dr. Das made up for all of that. She's a bit concerned with prescribing controlled medications that may put her under the scope of the absurdity of the state of Texas. My take, after moving here 3 years ago from California - Texas is a scary place for getting medical treatments OR needed medications. I've run into some absolutely awful doctors I've never experienced elsewhere - a mixed brew. And I'm a 62 year-old broad. Jeez

I consulted with Dr. Duhon after having issues sleeping and waking up with headaches. In our…read moreconsultation, he suggested it might be sleep apnea. I scheduled a sleep study and everything went smoothly. They called to say that I did have sleep apnea and I would need a second sleep study with a CPAP to determine if that would help my symptoms. I came in and again everything went smoothly. But then communication stopped entirely. No one called about the results of the second sleep study. There was no prescription ever written for the CPAP or any other device. I tried calling but no one ever returned my calls. It's been almost a year since my sleep study and I still don't have answers.

Dr. Bo Stanley's office setup a 7:30am appointment for me and his hygienist took me in right away. After she took some pictures and shared them with Dr. Stanley, he came in, warmly greeted me, explained how he planned to proceed, and with my concurrence, began the work. 12 minutes later, my tooth was repaired and I was out of the dentist's chair. I was pleasantly shocked that they fixed the tooth, cured the polymer, polished it to ensure a proper bite, and had me out the door in 12 minutes! And because I didn't need a cap, it was only about a quarter the price. Great job Dr. Stanley and team!

EDIT: Upon voicing my concerns (and then probably reading…read morethis review) staff went out of their way to be kind and patient and I got to meet the doctor for the first time. The Bad: Clearly impersonal and bored front desk staff that are just as rude and aloof over the phone. Never seen the real doctor and was called the day before my appointment to be informed that they never received crucial bloodwork from me. Understandably, they have a lot of patients and cannot be expected to catch everyone, but to call me twice in secession to, in a clearly agitated tone, express I was "never on file" does not make clearer a problem that was already clear. After calling them to ask what else I can do my medical power of attorney was also met with a rude and impatient tone. If I have to match your tone so you can understand how rude you are being then you are not being professional. I am a new patient who has dealing with an entirely new diagnosis I never thought I'd have to deal with. I am a scared, uneducated on my options, and trust in ALL your staff to take me to a stable place. Instead, they make me feel a burden, uncomfortable, and more confused than I anticipated. The Good: The nurses where patient with me and finding the right medication for me. They are kind, funny, and interested in what they do. They make sure I am comfortable in my appointments and understand my wariness and concerns. They are reliable on prescription refills, I've never had to call in for more, and text before appointments to remind me I have them. They explained why my results might take longer than usual and left me with no questions. In conclusion: if you get past the rude phone calls and bored front desk staff you will be met with kind and patient professionals. Though the process is long and tedious they try to inform you of all the steps it might take. I don't expect perfection, just basic professionalism from people who should know at least how to pretend how to be pleasant over the phone. We all have to pretend to be nice during our jobs sometimes, they (the desk and phone staff) just need to try harder.

They don't answer their phone ever…read more In Jan 2022 I was referred to Dr. Raymond for a nerve issue in my arm. It took a few phone calls before they answered but I was finally able to schedule an appointment. While scheduling the receptionist said something like I would be seeing the nurse practitioner and I had to stop and ask them what that meant. Turns out I was not actually going to see the Dr. Raymond and I would then have to come back in to see her. When I protested they gave me another date where I could actually see Dr. Raymond. Dr. Raymond was nice and thorough taking time to evaluate and explain things to me. The admitting nurse seemed slightly rude and did not have the warm kind feeling that I typically associate with people in the healthcare profession. It could have just been the vibe I got so that alone isn't a reason for a poor review. When they took my vitals they have an old style scale with the sliding weights, nothing wrong with that in general, but the scale is in the corner of a small room which means the nurse must stand inches from you to move the weights and take a reading. With COVID it seems like a little more distance would be nice. After she finishes taking vitals they then spray the room down with Lysol. Seems like a pretty big gap between the lack of social distance and then disinfecting the room. I was in again in early July for a follow up visit and they referred me to get another MRI. Once I got home I realized that they had sent the referral to a different imaging lab than the MRI I had earlier in the year. I tried calling them to see if they could get the MRI moved to where I had my first one just so I could avoid filling out as much paper work. I called several times and left messages before I was finally able to speak to someone in their office. The woman was nice and said she would check and call me back later that day. I got no call back. I have now been calling them several times a day for the past 2 weeks, left messages and nobody has ever answered the phone. I can't recommend NeuroAustin simply because they don't answer the phone. Even if I did recommend them it seems unlikely anyone would be able to book an appointment since they never answer their phone.
