Bianca said the original order was sent in March, but the fulfillment company stated they never received it and never got a call to confirm receipt. I'm updating review to be 3 stars instead of 1 due to Bianca's swift and polite follow up. **ORIGINAL** There is a global back order on CPAP machines, yes. So I don't fault the long waiting times for the CPAP on Texas Sleep Medicine. However the staff here can be hard to reach at times, and they did not send out the order for my CPAP in a timely fashion. My sleep study was in March, and was told the order was put in for my machine but it would be a few months wait until I could get the machine. I followed up last week and my NP Kelly told me that the backlog was cleared over a month ago and that I seemed to have "fell through the cracks" and she would make sure it got squared away asap. I called the company that is assigned to fulfill the CPAP order to see how long the wait will be. Turns out Texas Sleep Med never sent over the original order to them, from my sleep study in March. They had no order for me. When I called Texas Medicine to confirm the order had been sent, they said they sent it on 9/15 or either early this morning 9/16. Now it will be an additional few months wait because they failed to submit the order in a timely fashion. In addition, Laurie or Laura on the phone was irritated and complained that I called back to verify that the order was actually sent in. You have to stay on top of them, call multiple times, leave voicemails that may go unanswered. PLEASE save yourself the hassle and use another sleep medicine company. The NP there named Kelly however is very skilled and helpful. If it was only her, this would be a different review.

Warning! Stay far, far away from this place! This place was recommended by my physician (don't…read moreworry - I've warned her to stop sending people here!), and it has been an absolute nightmare of an experience. Communication is absolutely horrendous. They use a call center to route all of their calls even during business hours so it is rare and difficult to reach a human at the actual office. You have the option to communicate via text but don't bother because no one responds. There's an online patient portal that can be used for messages as well. That's probably your best bet but it's still dicey. CPAP supplies are impossible. Laura is nice but she is only 1 person. With only 1 point person for CPAP supplies, getting to them or having any help managing supply reorders is purely luck based. They send out a mass email soliciting orders for resupply but no one ever seems to actually do anything with the responses? To try and make your supply ordering easier, they will offer to outsource you to another vendor for supplies. You will happily take them up on it. That will not actually be handled, and you'll be right back in the same cycle of insanity with TSM. Your video appointments will start with a "medical assistant" reading from scripted questions, not listening to understand your response, and then you'll see the "doctor" who will ask the same questions. If you're extra lucky, they will also offer you GLP-1's without any background in dietetics or knowing anything about your history of eating disorders. And when it comes to billing, they will keep a card on file. But they have an arbitrary limit of a cumulative $1500 maximum for what they will charge that card over any period of time. They will fail to tell you that this is their policy or notify you that you've hit that limit. Bonus: To make things extra fun, even with a card on file and before the $1500 limit is reached you will get at least 3 notifications of your monthly balance. So you will ignore them, until you get a call from their office holding your CPAP supplies because you've hit that limit and now have a past due balance. (Karina, you're a real gem!) And if you want to talk to the practice manager about any of these concerns, good luck. The elusive Bianca has been "in a meeting" since at least June 2026. Posting this review at both of their office locations because the NP who I was assigned (?) to is out of their south office. The CPAP Wrangler is at their North office. And I have no clue where billing or management are.

We came in to have our hearing tested, and I had a question about a long-term problem with pressure in my left inner ear. We were impressed by the thorough way Dr. Shepard and Rachel, the wonderful (PhD) Audiologist, conducted our exams and explained our results. Everyone was professional, thorough and genuinely friendly. All of our questions answered (in depth) and we even had a couple of good laughs along the way, and I'll never have to worry about my inner ear again!. First let me say that the doctor Duhon (who seems to get the brunt of the criticism - I've never met him) doesn't seem to be at this center any more. Just see the page - translate sleepdoctor and dot and com The only doctor I had been seeing (Dr. Das) at the center is at a different address, on Bee Cave Road near downtown. You can see their website at ansaustin dot com Dr. Das is fabulous, talented and genuine. She has a brilliant and powerful intuition about how to heal patients. And at the same time she's a very kind soul. She has helped me enormously. I trust her implicitly and of course make sure to exactly follow her recommendations. I will admit that one or two times I had to call her on her decisions. There are times when each of us needs to stand up for what we think with any doctor we might be seeing. Such as the basis for side effects. But I can be a pushy broad when it comes to my health and in my experience that's the sort of problem I've had with most doctors over the years. My first visit with a different doctor in that same center was not helpful. Probably a personality conflict between us. Being able to see Dr. Das made up for all of that. She's a bit concerned with prescribing controlled medications that may put her under the scope of the absurdity of the state of Texas. My take, after moving here 3 years ago from California - Texas is a scary place for getting medical treatments OR needed medications. I scheduled a sleep study and everything went smoothly. They called to say that I did have sleep apnea and I would need a second sleep study with a CPAP to determine if that would help my symptoms. I came in and again everything went smoothly. But then communication stopped entirely. No one called about the results of the second sleep study. There was no prescription ever written for the CPAP or any other device. I tried calling but no one ever returned my calls. It's been almost a year since my sleep study and I still don't have answers.

In the beginning we thought it started because he began first grade in a new school and maybe he was nervous. Dr. Bo Stanley's office setup a 7:30am appointment for me and his hygienist took me in right away. After she took some pictures and shared them with Dr. Stanley, he came in, warmly greeted me, explained how he planned to proceed, and with my concurrence, began the work. 12 minutes later, my tooth was repaired and I was out of the dentist's chair. I was pleasantly shocked that they fixed the tooth, cured the polymer, polished it to ensure a proper bite, and had me out the door in 12 minutes! And because I didn't need a cap, it was only about a quarter the price. Great job Dr. Stanley and team!

The Bad: Clearly impersonal and bored front desk staff that are just as rude and aloof over the phone. Never seen the real doctor and was called the day before my appointment to be informed that they never received crucial bloodwork from me. Understandably, they have a lot of patients and cannot be expected to catch everyone, but to call me twice in secession to, in a clearly agitated tone, express I was "never on file" does not make clearer a problem that was already clear. After calling them to ask what else I can do my medical power of attorney was also met with a rude and impatient tone. If I have to match your tone so you can understand how rude you are being then you are not being professional. I am a new patient who has dealing with an entirely new diagnosis I never thought I'd have to deal with. I am a scared, uneducated on my options, and trust in ALL your staff to take me to a stable place. Instead, they make me feel a burden, uncomfortable, and more confused than I anticipated. The Good: The nurses where patient with me and finding the right medication for me. They are kind, funny, and interested in what they do. They make sure I am comfortable in my appointments and understand my wariness and concerns. They are reliable on prescription refills, I've never had to call in for more, and text before appointments to remind me I have them. They explained why my results might take longer than usual and left me with no questions. In conclusion: if you get past the rude phone calls and bored front desk staff you will be met with kind and patient professionals. Though the process is long and tedious they try to inform you of all the steps it might take. I don't expect perfection, just basic professionalism from people who should know at least how to pretend how to be pleasant over the phone. They don't answer their phone ever…read more In Jan 2022 I was referred to Dr. Raymond for a nerve issue in my arm. It took a few phone calls before they answered but I was finally able to schedule an appointment. While scheduling the receptionist said something like I would be seeing the nurse practitioner and I had to stop and ask them what that meant. Turns out I was not actually going to see the Dr. Raymond and I would then have to come back in to see her. When I protested they gave me another date where I could actually see Dr. Raymond. Dr. Raymond was nice and thorough taking time to evaluate and explain things to me. The admitting nurse seemed slightly rude and did not have the warm kind feeling that I typically associate with people in the healthcare profession. It could have just been the vibe I got so that alone isn't a reason for a poor review. When they took my vitals they have an old style scale with the sliding weights, nothing wrong with that in general, but the scale is in the corner of a small room which means the nurse must stand inches from you to move the weights and take a reading. With COVID it seems like a little more distance would be nice. After she finishes taking vitals they then spray the room down with Lysol. Seems like a pretty big gap between the lack of social distance and then disinfecting the room. I was in again in early July for a follow up visit and they referred me to get another MRI. Once I got home I realized that they had sent the referral to a different imaging lab than the MRI I had earlier in the year. I tried calling them to see if they could get the MRI moved to where I had my first one just so I could avoid filling out as much paper work. I called several times and left messages before I was finally able to speak to someone in their office. The woman was nice and said she would check and call me back later that day. I got no call back. I have now been calling them several times a day for the past 2 weeks, left messages and nobody has ever answered the phone. I can't recommend NeuroAustin simply because they don't answer the phone. Even if I did recommend them it seems unlikely anyone would be able to book an appointment since they never answer their phone.
