Loved the chicken souvlaki, cheeseburger and onion rings! Great to see a new deli at this location. Nice remodel and outdoor seating.

It isn't huge inside but they use the space so wisely. The kitchen is open to the bar so you can see and hear all the amazing things happening back there which really adds to the local neighborhood vibe. The bartenders there are very sweet and attentive, they help bring the whole experience there to 5 stars. I came on a Wednesday for the $17.99 lobster roll special and it was easily one of the best I've ever had. It is a quarter pound of lobster and you get actual lumps of claw and meat rather than the shredded stuff some other places serve. The butter it's sautéed in is seasoned delicately to accentuate the fresh lobster instead of covering up the taste. The portion was surprisingly large and it comes on a fresh bun that is lightly buttered and toasted. It even comes with a little cup of extra butter which I totally slathered on because I love butter! Every bite was so fresh and soft. The roll comes with fries and I did the optional $5 upcharge for the lobster bisque. That was also the best I've ever had because I've never seen bisque with such large chunks of lobster in it. It was just crazy good. Everything was well worth the price and I'd honestly come back even on days when it's not a special. They have something going on every night like the $9.99 burger and fries on Mondays, so that will definitely be my next reason to visit. I will be back for sure!

You could tell moms were being celebrated everywhere, families were out enjoying themselves, and despite the crowd, the atmosphere still felt fun and lively instead of stressful. They offer an all-you-can-eat menu with a huge variety of sushi, seafood options, and buffet station, which definitely felt worth the price considering how much food is available. Without a reservation, the wait looked pretty long, so I'd definitely recommend calling ahead on holidays or weekends. Even with how crowded it was, the service stayed good throughout the night. The ordering system uses tablets at the table, and because of how busy it was, a few of my orders didn't go through the first time. I mentioned it to our server and he immediately addressed the issue, made sure I reordered everything, and continued checking in to make sure our food was arriving correctly. I also appreciated how accommodating the staff was. I asked for a chicken sushi roll and they made one for me I did have to reorder the seafood boil before receiving it, but the servers stayed attentive, communicated with us, and handled concerns professionally the entire time. What stood out most was that despite the chaos, everyone still seemed to be enjoying themselves. The staff was clearly working hard, but they stayed friendly and attentive throughout the Mother's Day rush. Overall, the food was good, the vibe stayed positive, and it still ended up being an enjoyable holiday dinner with friends and family. Definitely a spot I'd come back to; just with a reservation next time

Milford's restaurant week was happening, and Costa Peru was on my list, so I decided to go there. My family ordered seafood, while I went with the Peruvian Chicken Wings topped with Peruvian Barbecue sauce, Ceviche Chicken Wings, and Lomo Salado. I was particularly curious about the Ceviche wings because I'd never heard of them before. The ceviche sauce is inspired by Aji Limo Ceviche, a lively Peruvian dish featuring fresh, raw white fish like sea bass or flounder "cooked" in lime juice, seasoned with citrusy, spicy Aji Limo peppers, red onions, and cilantro. It's usually served with sweet potato, corn, and leche de tigre (tiger's milk), offering a tart, spicy, and refreshing flavor. The Ceviche wings were fantastic. They had a bright citrus kick, and I could taste all the distinct flavors, including the spices and chilies. They really hit the spot. The barbecue wings were just as enjoyable, with a sweet yet tangy sauce and perfectly seasoned chicken. The Lomo Salado was also a hit; the rice was fluffy and full of flavor, and the tender Lomo meat practically melted in my mouth. For dessert, I ordered the flan. It was my first time trying it, and I was curious about the taste. Honestly, I didn't care much for the texture, but I'm glad I gave it a shot. My son picked the Passion Fruit Cheesecake, which was pretty good. It's not something I'd order again, but I'm glad I tried it. The service was excellent, and I'm definitely looking forward to returning and trying more dishes from the menu.

If you're a lobster lover, this is your moment. Rich, buttery, packed with flavor, and indulgent in the best way. It's one of those dishes you think about long after you leave. All the way up until warming up the left overs. No regrets. Not one. For the kids, the steak medallions were such a good deal. Generous portion, cooked perfectly, and paired with really good fries (because yes, fry quality matters). Clean plate club status achieved. Now let's talk dressing. I am a dressing snob, and the green goddess? It was great. Fresh, herbaceous, creamy without being heavy. I would absolutely buy that by the bottle. Dessert sealed the deal. The brownie was that warm, ooey-gooey, stick-to-your-fork kind of brownie. Topped with yummy ice cream melting into all the chocolate goodness. Exactly what you want when you order a brownie. no dry edges, no disappointment. The decor is beautiful:warm, inviting, upscale but still comfortable. Service was great with genuine smiles. They checked in consistently without hovering, and shoutout to Ezekiel in the parking lot for such a kind welcome right from the start. First impressions matter, and they nailed it. I can only imagine how gorgeous this place must be on a summer night. We will absolutely be back to explore more of the menu. I'll get a photo of the front and patio next time!

Well, the lobster roll came with fries and coleslaw and I have to say the last roll was very bland and yes, there was a good amount on there. The role fell apart and I purposely didn't have them butter it because I knew that would happen but yet it still happens and I would never go back there for that lobster roll anyway as far as the fries they were tasteless. The only good thing was the coleslaw so for almost $100 for dinner including the tip it's a no for me. Also, the spritzer was $17. It didn't even have any booze in. It was like just drinking club soda.

A Shore Thing: Diving into Delight at Lazy Lobster 6…read moreBroadway, Milford CT. Nestled along the shimmering shores of Walnut Beach in Milford, CT, the Lazy Lobster (now under new ownership) beckons with its inviting charm and coastal allure. Upon entering, you're immediately enveloped in a warm, nautical atmosphere adorned with marine-themed decor--think driftwood accents, maritime photographs, and vibrant hues reminiscent of the sea. The gentle sound of waves lapping against the shore creates a soothing soundtrack, while the salty sea breeze mingles with the aroma of fresh seafood, making every breath feel like a mini-vacation. The outdoor dining area, complete with charming tiki umbrellas, invites you to soak up the sun while enjoying your meal, offering a refreshing breeze from Long Island Sound. The restaurant features two bar options: the front bar, which overlooks the street and opens to the outside, allowing you to sip cocktails while enjoying the coastal vibe, and the back bar, a full-service bar that's cozy and enclosed within the restaurant, perfect for a more intimate setting. The menu reads like a treasure map for seafood lovers, boasting dishes as fresh as a sea breeze. The standout is the Lazy Lobster Roll, available in three sizes: the 4-ounce, the 6-ounce, and a generously portioned larger option. Each roll is piled high with succulent lobster and served on a buttery baguette (yes, you read that right--a baguette!). You can also opt for the hotdog bun version, inviting you to dive in with reckless abandon. Accompanying it are crispy fries and tangy coleslaw, creating a delightful contrast to the richness of the lobster. My companion tried the butter-poached lobster tacos, which come with tomato salsa, avocado, and lime-cilantro dressing, showcasing the ocean's bounty wrapped in corn shells--delicious, even if she prefers flour tortillas. To wash it all down, we sipped on cocktails: the Lucky One High Noon Lemonade and the house Margarita, each refreshing as a dip in cool ocean waves. As you savor your meal, tales of Milford's rich maritime history add intrigue to the experience. The area is known for Charles Island and Captain Kidd, with whispers of lost vessels and ghostly apparitions of sailors who never returned. This lore enhances the atmosphere, making each bite a connection to the sea's mysterious past. Quinn, our server, embodies the spirit of the restaurant--welcoming as the tides returning to shore. Her extensive knowledge of the menu is impressive, and her willingness to share stories about the Lazy Lobster's history makes the dining experience feel personal and engaging. Her attentiveness and friendly banter create a sense of community, reminding you that good food is best enjoyed with good company. The Lazy Lobster is more than just a restaurant; it's a "catch of the day" in every sense. With delectable dishes, a vibrant atmosphere, and service that feels like a warm embrace, this beachside gem promises a "whale of a time" that lingers long after the last bite. If you're seeking a taste of the coast with a sprinkle of local charm, this is the place to drop anchor.

Was able to get a same-day reservation on OpenTable, which in retrospect is probably a bad sign.. Arrived at 5:25, hostess (not super welcoming) sat us right away. And we sat. And sat. And sat some more.. Servers were passing by and no one acknowledged us at all except for the bus boy who gave us water when we first sat down. We were sitting outside on the patio on the side of the building; we were next to other tables that also have people sitting there. Bus boys and servers must've passed us 20 times and just ignored us. After 20 minutes! I was finally able to get the attention of a server and let her know that no one had even taken our drink order yet. She assured me that our server was coming. Another 10 minutes went by, the same server realize that we were STILL waiting, and seemingly went inside to tell our server to wait on us. She finally arrived (we had been waiting 35 to 40 minutes at this point), no apology. Ordered our beverages and also told her we are ready to order food. Ordered a shrimp cocktail, the cheese garlic bread, a ribby roll and hot buttered lobster roll. And then we waited. Lol Drinks and Shrimp cocktail came right away. Shrimp was fresh, cocktail sauce good. Garlic bread never arrived. Entrees took a long time. We heard another server telling the table behind us that the kitchen was out of french fries. They never told us that but when the ribby & lobster rolls arrived, there was just a very small amount of fries on the plates. The lobster roll comes in three sizes now all varying degrees of expensive.. They do still have the same fresh baked rolls which is really what makes this lobster roll so good. The lobster was fresh, Unfortunately, I did not see any tail meat at all. It was all claw meat. I did look inside at the renovation, it's very nice, looks a little bit fancy for this type of beachside establishment. I mean, it looks great, but it was fine the way it was. Now it feels like they had to raise prices on the food to help pay for the remodel. The food that I had was still really good. I still do love their lobster rolls - those rolls really makes it for me. However they need to make sure every roll has tail meat too. The service is the real issue here. The hostess and servers and bus boys all look to be pretty young. They were pleasant enough, but seem to have no direction or motivation. I think with the right person managing them they'd be fine, but apparently they do not have a competent person in charge of these servers. There is absolutely no excuse for Customer sitting there for 25 minutes before they're even acknowledged. No apology, didn't get everything we ordered, yeah, just not a good experience.. with this type of service, they are not gonna stay in business long. At this point, I think they had been open about a month? Maybe they still need time to fully drain staff and get it together? I really hope so. It wasn't even super busy. I am willing to pay more for good food and service. But this was really pretty unacceptable .
